ALERT - Message for Nye County, NV Delegates

I just got this information in an email from Fely Quitevis, your county Chairwoman
"All Nye County delegates are free to attend your June 28 convention if they want to and it will not affect their membership to the Nye County Republican Central Committee. They have a valid reason not to attend our 2nd quarterly meeting because they are going to Reno and to me that’s excusable."
I appreciate her setting the record straight.
June 28th, Grand Sierra Resort, Reno, NV
7:00AM Delegate check-in
9:00AM Convention Begins
Please bring your delegate badge from April 26th Convention and a photo ID!

Newspaper Ads in Nye county???
Have they or anyone run newspaper ads in Nye county about the convention??? I bet money that there are people Ron Paul Republicans in Nye county that are either not aware of the convention, or are aware of it, but might not be able to attend do to finances....Please email Robert about this asap!!

Also, anyone out there who is having problems financially in attending, please utilize the www.nevadagopconvention.c... website and make your problems known. There is help to be had. We need everyone...all 1300+
original delegates would be beyond wonderful....probably impossible, but big numbers. All of us need to have our voices heard and our votes counted, legitimately!

Home of deceased Patriot, Dick Carver! He believed in the 10th amendment to the constitution, and stood up to the Feds.

Dick Carver was a county commissioner in Nye County
When the U.S. Forest service (or BLM?) closed a road through Federal property that the locals used, Dick got on a bulldozer and opened the road and fought the good fight for his county citizens.
Too tired tonight to find a link----this happened at least 10 years ago. We had Dick come and speak in our county. As Paulette says It's Doable!
And We Gotta Do It Now
The 28th is almost here and Nye County was huge for Ron Paul....we must reach every delegate there and get them to the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno by 7AM for check in. Even if you think you have already reached everyone you know in Nye County...or the Las Vegas area, please contact them again and tell them we are a "GO"...heck, sing them the Sue Lowden love song and give them a ride. The "Party" is gonna party this weekend and get this convention completed in a fair and parlimentarian fashion.

I'm glad to hear people in the Republican party leadership can..
be reasonable and not single minded. This is yet another victory on our road to enlightenment.
Once people understand our motives I think most can have a change of heart. It's important that we not go toe to toe with them but be understanding and respectful and give them the space to figure it out. We can collect allot more flies with honey than with vinegar.
Nevada is leading the way! Thank you all for your dedication and determination!

I keep reading a lot of
I keep reading a lot of platitudes about mean vs nice or honey vs vinegar.I think when one has been wronged that getting angry is appropriate.Being polite and nice has its merits I agree but you never know if some of those "calling out" emails did more good than harm. I'm not talking about name calling but in my email I did call a spade a spade. Also I'm not so naive as to think the above email was sent out because it isn't self serving for her in some way. Time will only tell.

It is self-serving, if for no other reasons than to get the hounds off of her as I can only imagine what some of the emails she received said.
At least, if there were any delegates in Nye County who were hesitatant to participate, they now know that they can keep their County membership without any problem. I do know that being rude causes many people to just dig in their heels and you can't get them to open up to reason thereafter. You have to do, what you have to do.

True about rudeness. But rudeness is subjective. That was my point. It's not just mean or nice. Frustrated and blunt (which can be effective but considered rude) has it's place if someone is coming from a place of determination and clarity, not anger. Even Jesus had to turn over a few tables to get some attention. It is a fine line.
