John McCain: privatization Social Security

John McCain plans to run for president on
his military experience.
The idea is he's more stable, more reliable,
more informed than Obama.
Really?

http://www.brasschecktv.c...

He's running on his military record
Too bad he can't tell the truth to save this life.

McCain's pet domestic project: advancing the Republican plan to "privatize" Social Security.

Privatize is a code word for transfering Social Security assets to Wall Street.

There will be massive commissions made on this deal, something McCain who was shoulder deep in the S & L fraud of the 1980s understands very well.

The government is poor, right!

The best way to privatize Social Securtity is to privatize the gold in Fort Knox, and use it to pay retirees, or pay them in all the land that the government owns, or pay them in all the mineral rights or off shore drilling rights that the government owns and never really goes to the people but to some insiders.

Social security does not, and never has, represented any

kind of demand-deposit account. That's just the lie that the government continues to tell and so many people continue to want to believe. Social security is an entitlement program. It was thus determined to be when it was first challenged in the supreme court in 1937 and that status has not changed. SS taxes are collected under the general taxation powers of Congress and, as found by the court, "are not earmarked for any purpose" (See: Helvering :vs: Davis 301 U.S. 619 and Steward Machine Company v. Davis 301 U.S. 548 - both handed down the same day). The decisions establish the principle that social security is *not* a social insurance program and Congress, if they so decide, is not constitutionally required to pay out a single cent in "benefits". They continue to send letters to people, wherein they purport to show how much monies an individual has paid into his or her "account", and thus the lie is furthered. Congress has the plenary power, under Art 1, Sec. 8 to use the monies thus collected for any constitutionally authorized purpose.

Thank you

for the informative post. I'll have research this more.

YES!

Privitize! juan mccain isnt going to get this done though...and he would stop there - theres plenty more of our government that needs privitized or just plain shut down completely....youve been a member for a while Hannah...did you not know Ron Paul is for privitization of social security too?

Assets?

What 'assets' you talkin' about?

I wish I could privatize my Social Security.

If the money I've paid in could have been invested, even at today's Wall Street lows I would have a bigger monthly stipend awaiting me.

If that turd

is elected president,it will be a sad,sad day for this country.

And so also will it be

if the fart that follows expands and fills the room first. Then were talkin CHANGE! for everybody!
