The Ron Paul Campaign for Liberty Money Bomb!

Since there seems to be so much disagreement (whether real or manufactured) about the future of the R[3VOL]ution, I propose something that all Ron Paul supporters can agree upon: The Ron Paul Campaign for Liberty Money Bomb!

If enough people get behind this, we could set up a website to take pledges for donations to the Ron Paul Campaign for Liberty, like the other successful "money-bomb" fundraising efforts of the Ron Paul for President 2008 grassroots campaign.

What are your thoughts? When do you think it should take place? Does early July, possibly July 4th sound like a good idea? Or should we target a later date, closer to the Ron Paul Rally in Minneapolis?

We haven't done one of this size in so long--it could be just the thing--the perfect opportunity to demonstrate to the world that we're still here, we're still strong, and we're still a force to be reckoned with!

Update 1: There is a discussion on Ron Paul Forums about having a Campaign for Liberty Money Bomb on November 5th, the day after the general election. I think that this would send a strong message if it were successful and it would be cool to do another November 5th money bomb!

But of course I still favor having a CFL money bomb sooner than that as well. Let's do both.

Update 2: Trevor Lyman commented on the Ron Paul Campaign for Liberty Money Bomb on Ron Paul Forums today:

I think it's a great idea and have had the thought that something should be done on November 5th for some time now (as I see many also have ). I held off from an immediate yes to Brandon because we were already in talks about a CFL money bomb. We may want to do a smaller one before this date if they have strong need for it. I guess we'll see how that develops.

I also think we should expand the event. I've been in talks with Linda (Granny Warrior) about holding another rally in DC on the 5th. I don't know- I'm sure we can come up with a lot of ideas. If not a rally maybe we throw a liberty trade show/convention with lots of vendors, or a huge concert, etc. Who knows.. I'll join in on the thread over there and lets come up with some great ideas and make it happen!

Next thread:

I'm happy to use ThisNovember5th.com for a CFL money bomb. I was in talks about a money bomb for CFL when Brandon first asked and I wanted to see how that worked first.

There will be no cut for http://BreakTheMatrix.com for the CFL November 5th money bomb.. they are a non-profit so we can legally do it without cost.

What do you guys think about expanding the idea? Having a rally in D.C.? Or a concert somewhere? something else?

I would be more than happy

I would be more than happy to give someone this :

www.campaignforlibertybom...

Just tell me who wants it, and I will give it to them so they can design a website and get rolling... Obviously Mike Nystrom doesnt want it as I offered it to him and have had no reply...

Declaring Independence

A July 4th money bomb would not necessarily interfere with a November 5th money bomb. Heck, we did Nov. 5th followed by Dec. 16th last year, and both were huge!

Now here's a question I haven't heard discussed yet...

Ready?

What if our money bomb for the CFL were held in precious metals only?

That is: we each purchase $X.XX amount of silver (or gold) (or platinum) (or whatever) specifically for the CFL?

Rather than donating fiat notes, we donate actual money? I'm not talking about "paper metals," I mean actual possession of metals -- with possession going to the CFL.

Doable? Would they be able (legally/realistically) to accept such donations? How would that work? What kind of message would that send? Wouldn't it be more in line with RP's thinking (and ours)??

This would have the double-effect of bouncing up the demand (and value) of precious metals, while demonstrating our full faith in precious metals as a monetary commodity, a la ideas expressed in this thread.

Thoughts? Comments?

IT'S TIME

IT'S TIME TO MARCH ON WASHINGTON.

Something my mother, a European World War II surviver who saw the Holocaust first hand said, "If enough people die for the cause, the cause will not die."

I will not stand idly by while the country that my father, a World War II veteran, served honorably is dismantled by ENEMIES FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC

LONG LIVE THE CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC OF THE UNITED STATES.

I sent an email to Mike N. letting him know that I purchased the domain name and would be happy to donate it. No response yet. I would be happy to give it to anyone that has the forte to build a cool site.

P.S. I suggested a Bomb for the day before the RP convention, but could care less.

Tim

Awesome, thanks

Sounds like you had this idea before. Very cool!

I see that over on ronpaulforums.com there are those who "refuse to donate until CFL formally announces what type of organization it is." But I think that the majority of Paul supporters would not share that view. I think most us of trust Ron Paul's leadership--that is why we have come together to support his candidacy for the President.

And for those who would suggest that Ron Paul's campaign for President turned out not to be a very good investment, since we did not allegedly win a majority of the delegates to the Republican National Convention, I would submit that, like Ron Paul, I believe that this R3VOLution is a long term project whereas the election is just a short term goal. I would submit that the real triumph of the Ron Paul R3VOLution thus far has been that we liberty-lovers have found each other and that we have inspired and motivated each other to take back our country one step at a time from within the corrupted political systems of the Bilateral War Party.

I like it!

Campaign for Liberty!

good Idea...

I'm thinking we should do it just before the Ronvention when everyone starts getting really excited about the event, and it may add more media hype to the what should be an already hyped Ronvention. The main stream media swoons over money... What does everyone think?

1776 for liberty!

We could do three tiers of donations: $17.76, $177.60, and $1776.00

It would be the perfect chance to redeclare our independence.
