We won the nomination for US Senate seat in South Carolina. Ron Paul democrat Bob Conley won the democratic nomination. There was a recount of the votes that was requested by his opponent and he won again after the recount woooooooot.

So instead of making ASSumptions, you should actually do you research. If you do ANY research at all you would realize Bob actually recently switched the Democratic party and ran for Senate. He admitted himself he voted for Ron Paul and that he was a conservative, but YET HE STILL WON! His opponent even said "We just elected a Republican to the Democratic party". What you should care about, and obviously do not, is which candidate is the most conservative, and nearest to Ron Paul's belief system. That would be the Democratic candidate. Lindsay Graham is another big government liberal Bush toad-eater like John McCain.

I have been defending
I have been defending staying in the republican party, but I have just realized there is no home for ron paul and no home for us. We are alone but strong in resolve. Is this the moment for a third party? I don't know.... Should we be party-less? Hit 'em from all sides?
I've been thinking the same thing
Parties are a farce. The candidates betray their principals time and again. The divisivness has led to so much anger and hatred. We need a set of issues and principals and the candidate needs to sound off on what his take is one those. If he does not hold to his words, we are in the same boat that we are in now anyway.

I say if the communist party was the most popular, then we should push for communist candidates as long as they support freedom. I beleive partisan politics is responsible for our present situtation. To stand up for a party that represents you because of their label and not their message is in my opinion what is wrong with the U.S. today. I think it is fine if you support say the Chicago Bears for 10 loosing seasons, but to stand up for a party after they have screwed you to the wall is ridiculous, and shows the victories the government run public school indoctrination system has scored. If a candidate is true in his/her oath to support freedom and liberty I will vote for them no questions asked, but check the individuals background as I assume posers will be coming out of the woodwork once they realize the work we are doing. As for those that would vote for a three toed sloth simply because of party lines, I say please do, it could only be an improvement.

Yes and yes. A major 3rd party element which cannot be ignored would/could/should keep the other parties in check. Those that can work within the Republican party should. Those that can work in the Democratic party should. Those that can stand neither should back the 3rd party of their choosing. Still don't like the 3rd parties? Find a state party you like. Or better yet, start a state party. I'm working the state party idea myself. I've dubbed it the Bull Whip Party. The platform will reflect Paul's ability to bring together people with very different perspectives. A little more conservative than the LP and a little less theocratic than the CP.
