Get ready folks.....here comes the roller coaster. It is gaining speed.
The Fed is 100% STUCK!! All bullets have been fired, and the crash is coming now faster than ever.
Hope you have been buying your silver...piece by piece...
The Fed has displayed its cards. They can't move....they are stuck. If they lower rates more the dollar crashes faster. If they raise rates, the markets come to a screeching halt...even though they are basically their anyway.
All credit markets are locked up...
Inflation is running up like mad!!!!
Just to give you a heads up........I own an Electronics store, and last week, we got the announcement from many different companies, like Sony, Pioneer, Kenwood, etc, that all prices are going up on average 15%. Effective NOW!! Can you believe that???

6/26 UPDATE.....Wow...the stock market down 358, and gold and silver up big, and oil over $140 a barrel. And as I watch the Financial Channels on Cable, they still pump out the same crap... "This could be the bottom!" "Time to find the deals." These talking heads don't believe what they are told to say.
In my Opinion....this is the start of a long road. Nobody knows where the end is. It is going to get ugly...and fast.

Not to toss a bucket of gasoline on the little panic party here, but now is actually a great time to get back into stocks. The market is dragging, companies are undervalued, and gold/silver and commodities are getting shaky again. Consider what makes sense for your own situation, don't be a lemming and think that gold or silver is "always" a good investment.

Golden Buying Opportunity, With a Silver Lining!

Gold made a bottom at $651 on August 16th 2007 before rallying to over $1025 by March 2008. The anniversary of that low is less than a week away and we suspect history is going to repeat itself as gold prepares for anther tremendous rally.

Technically, gold looks to be a good buy at these levels for the following reasons:
Buying gold close to the 200 day moving average is a good strategy, buying below is even better. The RSI for gold is near 30, a classic BUY signal that rarely presents itself and should be taken advantage of.
We see gold holding at $850 on its support line, before building a base and moving much higher in the coming months.
STO is oversold, along with many other technical indicators.
And if gold is oversold, then silver is severely oversold as the chart below shows:

With silver just 33 cents from a support area which starts at $15 and goes through to $14, we view these prices as great chance to load up on silver and silver stocks. The technical situation for silver is similar to the yellow metal, except in this case poor man’s gold appears to be more oversold and is perhaps a better buy. Remember that the silver market is more volatile than gold, and tends to have sharper corrections (one of which we have just witnessed), but at the same time it can bounce back higher, and faster than gold, which makes it an excellent trading vehicle for those with the stomach to speculate on the oscillations.
This sell off in precious metals (and oil) has primarily been caused by a strengthening US dollar. Why has the greenback been making gains? Hot air. The USD has been moving up as the Fed has been talking about inflation and the possibility of raising interest rates. We must keep in mind that the Fed hasn’t actually raised rates yet, and even if they do, how far will they go? We expect any rise in interest rates to be minimal. And even if they do embark on a rate raising policy, will this stop golds accent to $2000+? Absolutely not. The most it will do is delay gold making an inflation adjusted all time high. Remember that in 1980 gold ran to $850 in the face of double digit interest rates. So even if the Fed takes rates up to over 10%, which represent a quintupling in interest rates, this will not be enough to stop gold and silver marching onwards and upwards.
We have been heavy buyers of gold, silver and the associated mining stocks on this dip. We have signalled multiple BUY signals, including some signals on gold call options and options on mining stocks, as we firmly believe that the downside is limited right now, whilst the upside has fantastic potential.
Our message for this week is simple: BUY gold and silver then hold on for the ride!

don't think you should be concerned about these little price fluctuations. Just get it and hold it. With Precious Metals, you should buy it, take delivery, and forget about it. If you follow the day to day roller coaster, you will drive yourself insane. In 3 to 5 years from now, I feel that gold and silver prices of today will look like a bargain. Just like $4 a gallon gas will look like a bargain in the future!

I am not in any of the markets, I pulled out long ago. It is a crime as to how many people may lose their entire Retirement by being misled into the market, misled into buying homes they can't afford, and being ignorant in accumulating debt.
And I say "Misled" cautiously, because people are responsible for their own decisions, but I do know of some mortgage broker friends of mine that made a killing getting people into these B.S. loans. They were making up to an additional 3 points on the back side that the consumer never saw. That to me is a crime.

As the state of Ilinois is suing Countrywide one of the largest Mortagage companies so it may be a chain reaction.
I own 3 1/2 acres on a lake in Nova Scotia and am
looking to sell. Americans (last I checked) can live in Canada for a year at a time (no voting and no free medical). This lake is stocked with fish and is in a chain of lakes -- you can canoe/kayak from one to the next.

The title of "AN" MOS (Once 95c now 31e) is Internment Resettlement Specialist (A 'sub' category for MP's- Really just glorified prison guards.)
BTW My deepest respect goes to those undervalued soldiers that have way too much stress to deal with... If our citizens only knew what an 18 yr old kid is expected to be able to do in regards of military mannerism and keeping in check highly decorated, highly trained, and highly intelligent convicted soldiers/officers all the while being a buffer pad between inexperienced leadership's faulty & senseless orders and highly skilled/decorated & manipulating prisoners... tssk...tssk... tsssk.
The vast majority of this very small MOS get out of the military after their first enlistment. Although stoploss usual extends them at least an extra year. The NCO's usually transfer into the MOS from being a 'grunt' once they reach the point their body can't handle that job anymore. Because of this trend, the leadership is usuallycompletely clueless in prison mentality/politics-- Leaving the lower enlisted out there flapping in the wind trying to curb the abrasiveness of the senior's orders. Due to the previously mentioned trend, it is more effective and efficient to sub-contract private organizations to do this job instead.(I hear you can get more than 150k/yr tax-free for working oversees and loosely bound by Geneva working within the civilian sector.)
Anyway as I ramble : They are trained to create and operate temporary and long-term 'resettlement' camps for refugees and prisoners.
There are security protocols for political refugees ~vs~ civillian refugees ~vs~ enemy combatants identified and/or assumed...However the intial search is most humiliating for all.
I fear that there is nothing else useful to divulge with regards to this subject matter worth the risk of breaking particular confidences. Besides, you can find SOP's(standard operating procedures) for gitmo from a few years ago on wikileaks. Which, by the way is not something a source was privvy to firsthand since he was fortunate enough to remain stateside and guard the caged 'Rambo's'.
Just hope to establish a little validity to the subject. They key to this statement is that the military side of this MOS can be likened to an episode of RENO-911 in manic depressed format for prison guards while the civillians sector is highly efficient(in terms of setting up camp) in their duties, loosely bound to regulations, and highly paid. The exceptional payscale is enough to consider (for some) to work anywhere; be it Baghdad or Boston.

There are many similarities in the economic actions of Q4 '07 - Q1 '08 to what we are beginning to see again today.
This thread discussed price levels and ratios for the dollar, gold, energy, along with strategies for protecting yourself with precious metals, food, agricultural commodities, foreign currencies, and other measures. It discussed flawed government economic numbers, PPT intervention, Fed Policy, national debt, the fractional lending system, and many other contributors to the false economic debate underway in the US. I, too, would look forward to the restoration of the thread.
