Gambling...
Drugs, Prostitution... all things you cannot stop. Not possible. They get drugs in prison by the ton... all while under lock and key. Prohibition didn't work either. Why didn't we learn from that?
Money.
It all comes down to money. Some of these are things they use make money in 2 ways. The CIA makes money selling the drugs, and the DEA and local law enforcement make money busting the criminals. They sieze their property, money, all their assets including... all those drugs. Where do you think they really go after that? My guess is back on the street to the highest bidder.
They want to stop internet gambling as their first attack on our only bastion of free speech... the 'net. They have to know it's waking people up. It's only a matter of time before they try to take it away from us, or control it's content.
Prostitution... the girls are gonna do it. So the cops simply arrest them, fine them and put them back on the street. Free money.
I hate our government.

I've always had libertarian principles, but I didn't really study politics or the government that much. I was too busy being an apathetic sheep. Every now and then I'd read an article or two on LewRockwell.com, but for the most part I didn't pay much attention to politics.
Now I spend every waking moment thinking, writing, and dicussing politics. I'm supposed to be working right now at my job... but what am I doing?
Learning more about Dr. Paul.
He has changed my focus in life competely.
Now if only I could get some work done!

Haha, your history is extremely similar to mine. Difference is, I didn't give a shit about ANY political sites, other than what I occasionally would read on the front page of MSN and Yahoo! while surfing at work. Though it gives me hope that I was able to completely change my focus in terms of how I perceive the world and its (and ours, especially) future in a VERY short amount of time, I'm anxious, always, as I remember how sure I was in the knowledge that we were fucked and there was nothing any of us could do but hope for a decent powerful person to come around; as if I was expecting a modern-day George Washington to saunter into Congress one day and take up the mantle and responsibility for Congress' failures and proceed, with a strong sense of patriotic duty, to guide our country to glory by some inherently deserved divine providence.
The man is my septuagenarian Neo. The Washington Regime will weaken and crumble and fall as the Freedom virus spreads and continues to do so, by Patriots like you and I, and our infected brethren, and theirs, and so on...
An exciting and nerve-racking time to be alive, for sure.
