THE BEST THING - America could do would be a 30 Day Energy Boycott and Conservation Initiative!

The best thing this country could do, would be a 30 Day Energy Boycott and Conservation Initiative!

It would show the American People as well as the rest of the world that Americans have the power and ability to stop using so much energy.

This amount of time would not only send a message but it would allow for a build up in oil inventories which would reduce prices within days!

I fell behind on my gas

I fell behind on my gas bill. the gas co. turned my gas off 2 days ago. lol My fault not theirs. Anyway it's no biggie, the only appliance I use in the summer that uses gas is my kitchen stove. But then for the small usage I also get charged a delivery fee and all kinds of taxes etc. So I will pay the bill but not have the gas turned back on until Oct. as my furnace is gas. I have all kinds of ways to cook without the stove. I will end up paying $75 to have the gas turned on again. In the mean time I save over $45 a month on fees for 4 months. I am considering having the gas turned off in April every year in the future.

I think we'd have to have

I think we'd have to have honest government before doing anything like that.

The best thing to do on Energy, barring the election of a conservative constitutionalist to the Presidency, would be to:

1. Abolish the Department of Energy.

2. End all fuel subsidies. ALL of them--that means Petroleum as well as Ethanol.

3. Give a 100% income tax break for five years to individuals who convert their home to run off the grid using either (a) wind power, (b) photovoltaic solar, or (c) bio-diesel.

Get real

Do you really think we could stop using energy for 30 days?

We're already doing as much as we can, by driving no more than necessary, but do you really think we could stop using gasoline for 30 days?

I'd lose my job...and the economy would seize. It won't happen.

Last time my tires went flat

I walk to work. I bought a house close by. I gave myself a pay-raise, in effect, by not having a commute.

If you don't execise the vehicle, your tires will get flat spots.

Moving to be close to my job was the best investment I ever made. Not because it saves me money, but because it saves me time.

IMissLiberty

I installed a hydrogen conversion on my car.

A little more tweaking and I could possibly go 30 days with one fill up.

I could stand not having AC. Refrigeration could be an issue. Don't know what I would do without the computer. Take cold showers. Yeah it's almost feasible.

What mpg

What kind of mpg are you getting?

I'm not shutting off the AC...F these Kentucky summers.

I just installed a tankless hot water heater...saves a ton of gas and a $300 tax credit on top of it.

Right now around 40 mpg up from 26mpg

Once I get the O2 sensor fooled I'll be hoping to be getting mid 50's.

Yeah the Ohio valley is a Humid bitch no doubt.

Tank less water heater humm? Ours is electric.

Hey Oruval

How was the installation?
Which method are you using?
Do tell!

Here is the design I went with first.

I just wanted to see if it would make a difference.. Only cost me a day and $70 in parts.

My brother and I are going to make a SMACK HHO generator next.

www.smacksboosters.110mb....

Both these pages are a good place to get started. The designs leave off some important parts info tho. Not sure why. But they are things I have figured out myself. I guess someone is trying to make a buck is all. The technology still works.

Thanks

Will check it out....

A Boycott coupled with a ENERGY CONSERVATION INITIATIVE

In other words everyone cuts back as much as they can! It would galvanize the country.

Oh, ok

Well i'm already doing that. I guess i'm on board.
