I came across this today. It's a long read, with a really strange premise, but I thought you may be interested.

1) Bullion will be king. The more… the better. Keep it out of the banking system.
2) Gold may rise above $60,000/oz at the first shot…overnight.
3) Silver may rise much higher and faster due to its industrial and monetary components
4) Banks will print money to buy gold
5) Sellers will disappear at any price
6) Comex, LME, GLD, SLV etc will all default and the metal inventories will stay in the countries they currently reside.
7) Expect to lose everything held by a bank.
8) Expect EVERY country to nationalize their gold and silver mines….NO EXCEPTIONS!
9) Hang onto your house and your mortgage (don’t pay it off until after the collapse)
10) Stay close to home over the next few months.
11) Have a plan if there is a system melt down (ask your friends and family to have a plan also)
12) Have enough cash (new bills only) to last a few months
13) Have enough food and water to last a few months
14) Although I hate this one….get a gun to protect your family in case of civil unrest.
I know…sounds like “doom and gloom” but nobody knows how this will all go down and I’d rather be prepared than dazed and confused.

I'm still hearing that September is supposed to be the big economic collapse. We are supposed to have $8 gas and this will cause things to go nuts. What do you all think?

Hey Sierra, feeling lucky that I picked up those 100 oz. of silver earlier this week even more now! I just wish that I could have made it 1000 oz. I guess every little bit helps, though.
I have already talked to two different local people from whom I buy fresh foods (eggs and raw goat milk) who have indicated that they will accept silver coins in exchange if TSHTF. And I have never discussed politics or economics with them before! I hope there are enough other like-minded people in my area who are as prepared and knowledgeable about what this wisp-o'- smoke economy is likely to bring us.

there ya go! just keep getting what you can get.. a little at a time is good! soon it adds up! if I were a smoker or could give up eating out etc, I would take that money weekly and buy pre 64 US silver 90% dimes.. and let them add up! you get it AKAK! unfortunetly a few who support Ron Paul have not let there minds get to the point where they understand just what exactly is going on! nice to see folks preparing! no one can ever be over prepared!

It's funny, Sierra, but every time I buy some silver, and I'm driving home with it, I start wondering to myself, "now what am I going to have to spend THIS on when things get really bad?" I'm not a gloom-and-doomer, either. But the fact is, many, many societies have had their lives shattered and standards of living destroyed through inflation and currency collapse, and we arrogant Americans are fools if we think it cannot happen to us. In fact, I would have to say we are fools if we think it WON'T happen to us! Not a happy prospect, for sure, but again, it's the driver going over the cliff --- do you wake him up and make him "depressed" about the situation, saving his life, or do you let him blissfully and ignorantly go over the cliff?
