I remember when I was scared about the coming ICE AGE in second grade. That was well a, that was a, ok so it was a long time ago. Now they expect me to get on board with this. I don't think so. Besides, God is holding all things together. He is more than capable. Man is just arrogant enough to truly think he can destroy this planet. God will clean house and on his terms.

Having already lived through this 'crisis' once already in the 70's, it angers me that they didn't even have the imagination to try something different this time.

They think we're stupid and forgot the 'gas crisis' and the 'coming ice age' nonsense heaped upon us during the Nixon/Carter years.

We're threatened with global [INSERT CATASTROPHY} if we don't change our ways and accept more government intervention in our lives and business and there are always enough sheep swinging on the gov't tit to believe it and go along with it.

I remember a comedian's quote from the era.... he was discussing off-shore oil (kinda like now) and said ".... sure there's oil off shore.... it's in freighters off the coast waiting for the price to go up".

We accept this crap with no proof other than Gore's hysteria. We are forced into paying huge amounts at the pump and everywhere else as they continue to try to break us.

What they forget is, we are unbreakable. And we don't forget.

Global warming is total malarkey. The recent volcano in Chile released more 'greenhouse gases' in ONE DAY than man has put out in his entire existence! Do not be led to poverty by these fools.

I think it is more likely that we are in fact experiencing human-aggravated or induced global warming, and the power elites are just trying to take advantage of the fact, as they do any other. The fact that it might play into somebody's pre-existing agenda does not automatically discredit, and cannot disregard, the underlying real climatic effects being observed today.

If a cop used my burning house as an excuse to break in and illegally search my home under the pretext of "saving me", does it make sense to say that just because he took advantage of the fire, the fire never really existed in the first place?

Let's think about this scenario: I want to control the world in some way....how do I do it......what issue can be hoisted on the shoulders of every single human being.....hmmmm...ahaaa! I've got it! The earth is in peril! I have no doubt that cfc's harm the ozonosphere/stratosphere(tomato/tomatoe), however since the Montreal Protocol CFC's are not allowed to be manufactured. What happens to the stratosphere that puts it in such peril? O3 is stripped of an oxygen atom turning it into O2. The sun does the same thing. It's natural! I've simplified it a bit, but this is the overall end result. Also, the "holes" in the stratosphere are predictable in position and time. The same people pushing global warming today are the same people who were pushing global cooling in the 70's. It's about control....make no mistake about it. Also think of this, which ties into your question as to who says the earth's temperature is supposed to be stable, the earth is not on this invisible track around the sun which never changes. Do we really believe, with all that's going on in the universe, that the earth does not waiver off the previous years course? Please! If people are looking for a miracle, then look no further than earth. The fact that we are here is a miracle in and of itself. Great post! Thanks for taking the time.

Mankind is at least partially responsible for the warming.
The terrible predictions about the effects on the environment may be exaggerated.
The time scale of the predictions and details of the weather models may be way off.

Most importantly, the "solutions" that we are being given (by the MSM, etc.) are horribly skewed toward the agenda of the collectivist/internationalist Conspiracy and, of course, ignore even the possibility of solutions by a free market and truly innovative technological solutions.

I do become concerned that our movement will become so obsessed with discrediting the global warming theory that we will marginalize ourselves and be diverted from the fight over deciding how to react to what will eventually become a real problem (regardless of its cause).

I hate to see us expending so much of our political capital and credibility on a subject so controversial, when there are glaring examples of corruption, tyranny, and illegality that are far more imminent and indisputable.

In Washington State has fossils all over the place of palm trees - and only 10,000 years ago the whole place was covered in a mile of ice. Until someone can prove to me that this was all caused by Fred Flinstone - I'm not going to be too worried about global warming/cooling/change.
