He is not the enemy! He is liberty minded candidate that espouses our primary core values in national forum's like he did today on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace, and there also was a piece on him on CNN. Let's get to facts about Bob Barr since there's so much propaganda spewed out against him. If you have any more concerns about one of our brethren I'd be happy to try to dispel them. Here are two criticisms I tried to dispel just in the past 30 minutes...
1. Libertarian or not.

I've voted LP for many, many years. I like the interviews and speeches by Barr that I have seen since his announced candidacy. Anything could happen, but he'll likely get my precious vote.
Nor my vote neither because
he voted in favor of the Patriot Act and also if he is so anti-establishment as Ron Paul is don't you think the MSM would be treating him the same as they did Ron Paul IGNORE HIM.
But I still feel that Ron Paul will be the Republican nominee for President and my vote will go his way.
McCain and Obama are both identical clones of the establishment and they both will defeat themselves especially McCain this man is as dumb as Bush is and that is bad.
Thanks to Nevada for what they have shown to all that the Republic heart is still pounding hard, this will lead to other states recognizing that McCain will not be the nominee of the Republican party.

Bottom line is, the ONLY time i've ever looked into a politicians eyes and ever seen them telling the truth is Ron Paul. Bob Barr is no Ron Paul...

I would imagine that the MPP group traditionally supports the Libertarian nomination. So they had tea and cookies for him, big deal.

I've listened to politicians for years. They always say things to get you to rally behind them, whether they believe it or support it, or not. With the sole exception of RP. He lives and breathes it.
Baldwin sounds a lot more like the good doctor than Brrrr does.

I've read numerous posts excusing Barr's Patriot Act vote being required so he could make a noble attempt to insert a sunset provision. This is simply nonsense. All Acts can be amended by subsequent legislation. In fact, these amendments can be attached to any bill before the legislature. Barr could have - like Paul - voted against the Patriot Act, then when it became law simply add a provision to another bill that would amend the Patriot Act with the sunset clause. He falsely claims the sunset provision could only become law if he voted for the Patriot Act.
Another serious Barr problem is his willingness to intervene in South America to fight drugs. Here he is doubly wrong: wrong in being an interventionist and wrong trying to carry on the idiotic drug war. He is anti-libertarian here on both counts. On drugs, he is only willing to rescind federal laws against medical marijuana - but would keep other drugs illegal, despite the abject failure of the war on drugs (war on freedom).
Third, he effectively endorsed Root as VP - a fanatic Muslim hating, Paul bashing, mid-east interventionist warmonger.

Bob Barr did a great job on the interview on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace. He answered the questions with articulation and explained his positions well. I am so glad that he is upholding our Constitutional rights and that I will be able to vote for someone for President who can restore peace, prosperity and liberty. I worked as hard as I could for Ron Paul but now it is apparent that McCain will be the Republican nominee. I am renewing my efforts so that our new champion for individual liberty, peace and prosperity, Bob Barr, the Libertarian candidate for President, will be heard in the General Election. This is really getting silly. Wouldn't your time be a just a tad bit better spent on campaign FOR a pro-liberty candidate, instead of endlessly bashing Barr?
If you don't want to support or vote for him, fine, vote for Obama is that's what floats your boat. But please don't insult people who won't do that. Ron Paul is no longer a candidate for PONTUS, he said it over and over again. He lost and Barr is not running against him, he is running against McSame and Obama. Baldwin is a non factor outside of very small circle of people who pay attention to these thing like Badnarik was (which is who I supported fully and voted for in 2004). That being said, go and support his campaign against Obama and McSame as that is where he should be focused.
If you think Baldwin's effort should be against Barr that is really pretty sad, and not only foolish, but counter productive to this movement. The enemy is not Barr or Baldwin, but the guys with the D and the R after their name.

If he is the antithesis of Dr. Paul, please name three issues which he CURRENTLY does not agree with the good doctor on? Also, please name 2 issues which on national TV Bob Barr has spoke of which are dissimilar to Paul's positions.

Ron Paul says over and over he will endorse McCain if McCain changes his position on everything. Why would Ron say that? Maybe because Ron understands the importance of supporting candidate when they campaign for liberty. Example: Bob Barr.
If we don't support Barr, why would other candidates listen to our ideas and come our way? They would lose their current supporters, and then they would lose us too! We better show how we support our liberty candidates.

I see your endless posting on here today on this topic though. In another tread you called me a christophobe, or something like that when I mocked the traitor and troll labels people are throwing around on here. For me personally, I could never vote for a preacher although I respect what they do outside of government.
A preacher is someone who well.... preaches. Well duh! But what is preaching? It presumes he knows better how to live my life than I do. That's fine for Sunday school as I could always walk away, but I don't need that from the President. Baldwin is horrible in this area and is why I couldn't support him.
But... I still respect that you do, yet you can't respect that I won't. Why is that? Seriously, what is so wrong in you spending your time going after the true enemies of Liberty, or do you have some theory that Barr is worse than McSame?
Barr is not as good as RP, every one of us know it but so what? We all tried to get RP nominated but we lost, now lets try and make sure McSame looses. Why is that so hard for you to get?

If you want to advertise Barr here, that's your right, as long as you don't take it too far, and start bashing Ron Paul like "Justcan'tgetenough" did---before his posting privileges were revoked.

Regarding your question about whether or not I think Barr is worse than McCain...no, I don't think he's worse. But he isn't any better in any meaningful sense. I wouldn't consider voting for either of them.
