Last week there was an immigration overpopulation conference in Washington , DC , filled to capacity by many of America’s finest minds and leaders. A brilliant college professor by the name of Victor Hansen Davis talked about his latest book, “Mexifornia,” explaining how immigration - both legal and illegal was destroying the entire state of California .. He said it would march across the country until it destroyed all vestiges of The American Dream.

Moments later, former Colorado Governor Richard D. Lamm stood up and gave a stunning speech on how to destroy America

The audience sat spellbound as he described eight methods for the destruction of the United States. He said, “If you believe that America is too smug, too self-satisfied, too rich, then let’s destroy America. It is not that hard to do. No nation in history has survived the ravages of time. Arnold Toynbee observed that all great civilizations rise and fall and that ‘An autopsy of history would show that all great nations commit suicide.’”

“Here is how they do it,” Lamm said:

-”First, to destroy America , turn America into a bilingual or multi-lingual and bicultural country. History shows that no nation can survive the tension, conflict, and antagonism of two or more competing languages and cultures. It is a blessing for an individual to be bilingual; however, it is a curse for a society to be bilingual. The historical scholar, Seymour Lipset, put it this way:’

The histories of bilingual and bicultural societies that do not assimilate are histories o f turmoil, tension, and tragedy.’ Canada, Belgium, Malaysia, and Lebanon all face crises of national existence in which minorities press for autonomy, if not independence. Pakistan and Cyprus have divided. Nigeria suppressed an ethnic rebellion. France faces difficulties with Basques, Bretons, Corsicans and Muslims.”

Lamm went on:

-”Second, to destroy America, invent ‘multiculturalism’ and encourage immigrants to maintain their culture. Make it an article of belief that all cultures are equal; that there are no cultural differences. Make it an article of faith that the Black and Hispanic dropout rates are due solely to prejudice and discrimination by the majority. Every other explanation is out of bounds.

-”Third, we could make the United States an ‘Hispanic Quebec’ without much effort. The key is to celebrate diversity rather than unity. As Benjamin Schwarz said in the Atlantic Monthly recently:’

The apparent success of our own multi-ethnic and multicultural experiment might have been achieved not by tolerance but by hegemony. Without the dominance that once dictated ethnocentrism and what it meant to be an American, we are left with only tolerance and pluralism to hold us together.’

Lamm said, “I would encourage all immigrants to keep their own language and culture. I would replace the melting pot metaphor with the salad bowl metaphor. It is important to ensure that we have various cultural subgroups living in America enforcing their differences rather than as Americans, emphasizing their similarities.”

-”Fourth, I would make our fastest growing demographic group the least educated. I would add a second underclass, unassimilated, undereducated, and antagonistic to our population. I would have this second underclass have a 50% dropout rate from high school.”

-”My fifth point for destroying America would be to get big foundations and business to give these efforts lots of money.

I would invest in ethnic identity, and I would establish the cult of ‘Victim.’ I would get all minorities to think that their lack of success was the fault of the majority. I would start a grievance industry blaming all minority failure on the majority platoon.”

-”My sixth plan for America’s downfall would include dual citizenship, and promote divided loyalties. I would celebrate diversity over unity. I would stress differences rather than similarities. Diverse people worldwide are mostly engaged in hating each other - that is, when they are not killing each other. A diverse, peaceful, or stable society is against most historical precepts. People undervalue the unity it takes to keep a nation together. Look at the ancient Greeks.

The Greeks believed that they belonged to the same race; they possessed a common language and literature; and they worshipped the same gods. All Greece took part in the Olympic Games. A common enemy, Persia, threatened their liberty. Yet all these bonds were not strong enough to overcome two factors: local patriotism and geographical conditions that nurtured political divisions. Greece fell.

“E. Pluribus Unum” — From many, one. In that historical reality, if we put the emphasis on the ‘pluribus’ instead of the ‘Unum,’we will “Balkanize” America as surely as Kosovo.

“Next to last, I would place all subjects off limits. Make it taboo to talk about anything against the cult of ‘diversity.’ I would find a word similar to ‘heretic’ in the 16th century - that stopped discussion and paralyzed thinking. Words like ‘racist’ or ‘xenophobe’ halt discussion and debate.

Having made America a bilingual /bicultural country, having established multi-cultism, having the large foundations fund the doctrine of ‘Victim,’ I would next make it impossible to enforce our immigration laws. I would develop a mantra: That because immigration has been good for America, it must always be good. I would make every individual immigrant symmetric and ignore the cumulative impact of millions of them.”

In the last minute of his speech, Governor Lamm wiped his brow. Profound silence followed. Finally he said,

“Lastly, I would censor Victor Hanson Davis’s book ‘Mexifornia.’ His book is dangerous. It exposes the plan to destroy America. If you feel America deserves to be destroyed, don’t read that book.”

There was no applause. A chilling fear quietly rose like an ominous cloud above every attendee at the conference. Every American in that room knew that everything Lamm enumerated was proceeding methodically, quietly, darkly, yet pervasively across the United States today. Discussion is being suppressed. Over 100 languages are ripping the foundation of our educational system and national cohesiveness.

Even barbaric cultures that practice female genital mutilation are growing as we celebrate ‘diversity.’ American jobs are vanishing into the Third World as corporations create a Third World in America Take note of California and other states. To date, ten million illegal aliens and growing fast. It is reminiscent of George Orwell’s book “1984.” In that story, three slogans are engird in the Ministry of Truth building: “War is peace,” “Freedom is slavery,” and “Ignorance is strength.”

Governor Lamm walked back to his seat. It dawned on everyone at the conference that our nation and the future of this great democracy is deeply in trouble and worsening fast. If we don’t get this immigration monster stopped within three years, it will rage like a California wildfire and destroy everything in its path, especially The American Dream.

how much of that was paid by illegal workers.

One year I filed my tax return, I entered my
daughters SS# incorrectly, I bet my info
is included in that data.

the 9 billion is only 1.5 percent of the total
$593 billion paid into social security in 2005.

how much of that is by illegals, lets say half,
then of the $593B collected in SS, 0.75% is from illegal
immigrants. my number is too generous, i would say
more like 0.1%. but, whatever, you can make your own
guestimate, just like your article has done.

This link will disgust you. But will show some of what's really going on.

First of all the author calls the issue by name, "Illegal" immigration. These individuals broke the United States law of illegal border entry and are criminal upon entry into our nation. Secondly I think it is great that those that are here illegally are paying taxes, but let’s not forget that most of the excrement coming from Nashville is usually from the far left and contradicts itself by listing amounts of taxes paid by illegal’s but the first paragraph explains that there are no clear numbers. The most important thing to remember that if in fact illegal immigrants pay in to the system $428 billion dollars to the nation's $13.6 trillion gross domestic product in 2006, he does not mention the hospitals, schools, social services across the country are going into bankruptcy because of the massive flow of immigrants seeking a free ride. What is the dollar amount to our communities and their social programs (Although I would be fine with doing away wit them completely) when they are bankrupt, hospitals close, and financially burdened schools that now are being asked to provide Spanish speaking teachers that the sstem cannot afford.

Who am I but an individual giving my opinion, and that alone is not very credible. The credibility lies in those with fact, and I suggest you watch and pass this along to everyone in your address book, as this really says it all.

It is fine for people to feel that they need to help, but when we cannot help everyone in the world is it worth it to destroy our economy, security, traditions, and heritage to allow criminals unchecked into our country.

I personally have friends that live in the US from both Mexico and Vietnam that are here legally, and to be honest they are also against illegal immigration. My friend from Vietnam will be the first to tell you how great the US is, and in the same breath he will curse politicians that are making moves against the constitution. He is vocal when he compares the communist country of his childhood and the policies that are being created here to stem freedom and liberty, and he does not like it at all. Imagine a Vietnamese man at the age of 35 that is a legal citizen is more of a patriot then most of our leaders today, it is sad really.

I certainly hope you can see where I am coming from, as I am by no means against legal immigration, but it has to be at a controlled level or we risk loosing in the end and can provide no help to the less fortunate here or in any other country.

This is a republic rather than a direct democracy. The Constitution gives Congress, not aliens, the authority to determine immigration policy. Illegal aliens should neither be paying taxes nor earning paychecks in this country. Meat packers used to have good paying union jobs. Illegals now do the same work for a fraction of the pay. Go peddle your empathy to the union workers who were squeezed out. They were probably paying twice as much in taxes and social security as the underpaid illegals and received fewer government services. Illegals do the work Americans won't do for illegal alien wages. Tricky, you are promoting a caste system to distribute the crumbs Democrats promise the poor.

Its another Govt created "Problem", like the "Drug War" & the "War on Terror". If you understand how those to false wars are government created, it should not be too hard for you to understand how government created the "Illegal Immigration" problem.

Many get hung up on the "illegal" part, as if to suggest, had the government handed everyone wanting to come into the USA a bright new Green Card, it would all be fine.

No, these 10 million mexican illegals are quiet peaceful and trustworthy as immigrants go. After all, they have not rounded us up yet and put us on reservations have they?

So it really is not about safety then is it? Sure it would be NICE if the Government took the Mexican's Id card at the border, did a police background check on them, check them for kiddie porn and drugs --Yoooo theres that drug war & Smutt war getting into our precious Constitutional Rights AGAIN-- Anyway, YES it sure would be NICE if the government could PRE-EVALUATE these people at the boarder, make sure they are not killers on the run or even wanted terrorists....

So what if the Federal government Legalized them at the border after giving them a full and complete clean bill of health and Safety check; Would you be happy with that?

Ok what if we get into those ecomomic figures, and the honest truth of the matter is that it all balances itself out in 2 or 3 years, on net it is a zero cost in year 3. Sure in the first one or two years, its an over all cost to the USA. But in years 3 & 4, its a zero balance....and by years 5, 6 and beyond, "illegal immigrants" are a Benefit to the USA. Sure we could get our experts, argue this and argue that. I could show that the top 5 American states for Welfare have low rates of illegals taking from the system. I could show that immigrates move for JOBS, not Welfare. We could agree to disagree if you like. I could say that the "welfare drain" is not significantly or disproportionately out of balance to what they put in. You could argue otherwise. Perhaps Congress passes a No Welfare for Mexican looking people bill, --unlikely yes--- but would that make you happy? No? So in the end, is all about "Welfare to illegals"? If it is, and you are a Ron Paul Republican, what do you care? You want Welfare abolished ANYWAY. That just adds one more reason to do so.

So, lets recap. For you, "illegal immigration" is really not about "being illegal", or "Safety", or even "welfare".

What about India, another billion people are expected to be speaking English in 50 years. Still worried about the "English language"? Do you think that if the Chinese and Indians (from India) all can speak English, that they somehow are no longer Chinese or Indian? No? Then why would Mr. TanKanerous pontificate that if we Americans pick up Spanish as our second language, we somehow are no longer Americans and we "loose everything"? Germans speak both English and French and they somehow remain German. French speak English and Italian, and somehow they remain, "French" through it all. Same for Italians who speak Dutch, or Russians who speak "American". So, does American have a problem with illegal immigration? It sure does, they are assimilating to the worst parts of American Culture. But that does not have to do with Numbers failing to Assimilate, or Safety, or Welfare, or being "illegal" does it?

We all like Ron Paul. I liked Ron Paul because unlike others, he said he was NOT OUT TO MAKE ILLEGALS THE SCAPE GOAT TO OUR OWN ECONOMIC PROBLEMS. He could have added, "Our Own Economic & Cultural Problems" to be more precise.

You now, when I watch and laugh with the hilarious comedian Carlos Mencia, the son of an El Salvadorian illegal immigrant, I can't help but think, "I am glad Carlos is an American". Freedom, is universal.

If there is no distinction between citizens and others then we no longer are a Country.

Yeah, They may pay sales tax on the beer they drink and the gas they purchase, but it's a small price to pay for the perks they get, such as free energy assistance, free housing, free bi-lingul teachers, free education, free lunches, free medical, free dental, free social security benefits ect..They get a chance to retire in thier own country well off, an ability to walk off scott free from our judicial system, a way to steal all of our goods and services jobs ( soon thats all we will have left ) that Americans NEED. A way to drive our wages down, a way to drive crime up ( because being illegal you have no regards to the rule of law ) and a way to disiminate the anglo-saxon race right off the map. No country has ever survived with wide open borders. None. Yeah, this author's story was full of holes, one sided holes.

There is no argument that justifies illegal immigants. If you like I will argue with you about why stealing is a good thing for the economy. Or maybe why sex with ten year old girls can help them grow up to be better women.
