What now?
So i've been a ron paul supporter since his campaign first started. I am proud of everything i've learned about the economy and the issues of monetary policy/foreign policy/ big government/ all the stuff the MSM don't talk about. The underbelly. That saying, "ron paul cured my apathy" is very true. It also really pisses me off, that saying "ignorance is bliss" is also very true. I had planned on going to the march, but I am currently in New Zealand and will not be able to make it. I hope there are lots and lots of people!!
Now that he's dropped out of the race though...what do we do? The r3volution can continue, but as for the presidential race.. I had planned on writing his name in the ballot, but he has told us not to do that. I was thinking of voting for Bob Barr, but what chance does a 3rd party really have? I will vote for who I think will be the best candidate, thats what a democracy is supposed to be about (although some people have yet to learn that.) Anyways, could someone give me a brief overview of McCain and Obamas policies. I've tried looking it up, but I'd like to have it in layman terms if possible. Now before you bombard me with "dont vote for either one!" I am not saying I will vote for either one. I just want to be more informed about both of the "tier" candidates.
output

If you vote for McCain or Obama,
the message they will get is that you like what they stand for. I have always thought it was more important to send a clear message with my vote than to pick a winner.
It bothers me
that you have'nt educated yourself and kept up on the other candidates all along. Sorry to be mean but you sound like someone who woul be an easy target to be sucked into a group think (or not think) The reason I and I would hope most Ron Paul supporters became what we are is because we knew what the others stood for and knew they had nothing to offer. Then wow! Who is this guy Ron Paul! He makes sense. He cares about this country. he actually has answers to these issues. It's a shame the masses did'nt care enough to research all of the candidates. Even the one the press did'nt shove down their throats. Glad your on board. But you should not depend on uss for answers. You should have investigated a long time ago. How can you bring people over to our ideas when you do'nt know what they have been fed by the other campaigns. It is tough though. Unfortunatly some just wait to see whose on the ballot and vote democrat or republican not knowing a thing about their candidate. I've seen and heard way to much of that.
trust me, I know more about
trust me, I know more about the other candidates than most of the people who support them do. Granted I didn't keep up with the Democratic side too much, but I watched all the Republican debates and tried to understand what they were talking about but the only one that made any sense was Ron Paul. The others would just bash each other or go back and forth using words I didnt understand and not really say anything. So I stuck with Dr. Paul and did all of my research on him and his ideas, even read his book. First political book I ever read.
I guess what I'm saying is that I didnt get too deep into the other politicians ideas because I already knew who I was voting for. But now I'm not sure what to do come November. I figured other people might be having this problem too, so I posted on Daily Paul.
we have many different paths to victory to choose from
# mass internet info war for Liberty attack
# converting Obama folks(insiders stuff key folks...)
# converting key folks in Holywood MSM and...
# converting children of important people
# getting Ron Paul book revolution a manifesto into hands of everyone in this country who holds power and is influential in news media.
if everyone who voted for Ron became an activist this army of 1.2 million people would attain victory within days!
Ok. i understand what you
Ok. i understand what you guys are saying.
1. ron paul is still in the running, we can still win
2. dont vote for either candidate because they are both liars
here's the thing. I brought this up on Daily Paul because I thought I would get some legitimate answers. As I've said before Ron Paul supporters in general are way more intelligent than other candidate supporters. So I will ask again, and I will put it a better format so that maybe my question can get answered. What does McCain/Obama/Burr/Baldwin support in:
Economy
Foreign Policy
Taxes
Medicare
Monetary Policy
I'd like to get some real answers instead of just this guy is lying, this other guy is lying. Ron Paul supporters, in my opinion, are the only people that look at all sides of the equation and choose Ron Paul. I know that Ron Paul is the only candidate that makes any sense if you want a country devoted to freedom, but I also would like to know what the other candidates are saying. I could look it up myself and spend hours trying to figure it out, but I thought that someone would have done this already. If no one here has knows what the other candidates are promising I guess we are all guilty of groupthink.
Flame me if you will, but I know Dr. Paul himself wants us to look at all sides and decide, based upon the issues, what we will choose.
I'll try
I'll be brief . I do'nt type or word things well but here we go. Mcain:Economy gas tax holiday,I think something about the morgtage crisis but he's not very clear on that. Foreiegn Policy: War and theres gonna be alot more wars. Less jobs and more wars. taxes:Well he has mentioned at times a flat tax but not really. He says. There needs to be a simpler tax code. But what do you think will happen in a state of prepetual war? Medicare: Ca'nt think of it right now. Monetary policy:He wishes interestes rates were O. He does'nt even know what the presidents working group on financial markets is. He really Knows nothing about economics at all. When it comes to Mccain it really does depend on who he is talking to and even then he flip flops from one sentence to the next. And he does lie very blatently. But hey at least he's honest about it sometime. He has stated many time it does not matter what the American people want he will do what he wants. He is the war president and he ca'nt remember the names of what group is doing what. he has to reead from a teleprompter for his speeches and still gets it wrong. Senile I think Obama; Wow he talks so much and sounds real pretty but really says so little. Economy: Hmmm He says stuff that he ca'nt possibly do because of his other policies. Foriegn policy:Gives the hope of getting out of Iraq but is not clear on how or when. Tkaes no option of the table with Iran. Wants to fight word hunger. Where is he getting the money? That should give you a hint on taxes. medicare: I think he want universal healthcare. Again You hard earned money will pay the pharmicutical lobbyist and insurance theives for everyone elses healthecare instead of making them be competive and drive costs down. Monetary policy: Again where does the money come from for all of his little pet projects. I'm still researching third party candidates myself. But with the group think in this country I do'nt think the have much of a chance either. at this point I'm writing in Ron paul or none of the above. Might even move to another country. You really should do your own research. Watch the debates on youtube. Watch the town hall meetings, news reports, clips of interviews with Mccain. A good one is" Mccain electable" it is hard to find a positive youtube clip of Mccain on you tube. I know too many diabolacle things he has been involved in recently in the past. he terrifies and sickens me.He even admits in one video how he made 2 different comments on the confederate flag for all the wrong reasons one being ambition. When you watch an obama speech make sure you pay close attention all the way to the end. he starts out sounding all saintlike but if you just become in awe and do'nt listen closely you will miss the fact that he seems to want to be king of the world with a foriegn policy of making other countiers do things his way. My belief is we have no business telling other countries how to live.
This was really good.
This was really good. Thanks! Yea hasnt McCain said publicly that he doesnt know much about the economy?
Don't think...
Or rather don't put all you eggs in one basket. There is still a convention to be had. We have until then 1) convert delegates. 2) scare the crap out of the GOP and forcing them to realize that they can overt their own demise if they just nominate Paul from the floor. 3) Convince disenfranchised (D) & Ofisa supporters to come over to our side.
This is simply the process of political natural selection. We need to remove all doubt that if Paul is not the nominee, Obama will in fact be the next POTUS. If this can be predetermined well in advance then it is insanity to press forward and not address the issue. If the GOP nominates McCain then they deserve what they get. If they nominate McCain it will be because they really want Obama. How else can the powers that be further their agenda? They need the "will of the people" in the next administration. If Obama becomes President he will have captivated his following. Liberty will be dying in a thunderous applause as they march to oblivion, cheering all the way down.
This is the picture that needs to be painted for the GOP. They have until September to decide what to do. In the mean time we press on to the convention. Why? No choice. period.
To commit yourself to anything beyond this is premature. If you wanna support a 3rd party candidate, fine go for it but to say that for sure you will support this candidate or that come November? Don't think that far down. Third party is one of the mechanisms in play which forces the GOP to do the math. The greater the numbers for 3rd parties the bigger the deficit they must overcome. This is why i support the 3rd parties equally right now. Until I see that McCain is actually nominated, I fully intend to vote for Paul on the GOP ticket.
If there is anything in the power of thought or the power of intention. Then thinking anything else is simply poison. IMO it is unproductive to poison ones own mind. I for one try to resist.

2010: Ron Paul Republican Governor of Texas
I would love nothing better than Ron Paul as Governor of Texas in 2010!
As long as we are building an organization, we must run a full slate of legislative candidates.
Use the CFL to lay the foundation.
I believe the Food and Health Freedom Issues are the tipping point issues for our movement. Here is but one example:
Legalize Milk! see realmilk.com
Unprocessed milk from organic grass fed cows is the best thing for your health, doubles income to family farmers by direct sales to health conscience consumers ( government regs force farmers to sell at a severe discount to giant corporations) This will reduce health care costs, save the family farm, save the environment through free enterprise, and most important allow us to draw enough votes from the left to WIN!

I'm dreamin'
elect him governor, then secede and elect him President of Texas.
Yeah
That's not a too hard of scene to imagine, the Constitution of Texas is almost the same as the United States Constitution, and they were a Republic once before. But if that were to happen I think there would be a huge shift in population to Texas.
isn't his longtime staffer running for that one?
Penny Langford Freeman, I think was the name. If she's running I doubt RP would.

What now? Here is the "front lines" of the Revolution today...
Part 1 is here:
http://www.youtube.com/wa...
Who to support now
Many of you may remember that Chuck Baldwin backed Ron Paul strongly in most of his weekly columns and radio appearances last fall and during the early primaries. This spring, Chuck Baldwin won the presidential nomination of the Constitution Party.
While Baldwin and Ron Paul have their differences on issues, Baldwin is far closer to RP's positions on most issues than anyone else running, including Bob Barr. Check the first of Baldwin's commercials at www.baldwin08.com.
Baldwin's website doesn't
Baldwin's website doesn't contain much info. I think that is really dumb!
It's evidently still being
It's evidently still being built. If you want to understand Baldwin's positions on the issues, there are numerous videos out there on Youtube, and columns that can be Googled.

Surprisingly impressed by Baldwin.
Wow.. I searched Chuck Baldwin before, and saw some video's with religious preaching and devil talk.Because I believe that religion and politics must be separate in favor of freedom of religion, and because Ron Paul was still running for president, I decided not to pay attention to him anymore.
Now I googled again and saw this video from beginning to end and am impressed by Chuck Baldwin's speech:
http://video.google.nl/vi...
Yes, he is very religious, but after watching his video he said very clearly he desires the freedom of EVERYONE with ANY RELIGION, that he is a friend of all freedom loving people regardless what religion they have, and wants to fight side by side with them to regain the laws of the US constitution, to regain the power of the people, to regain freedom!
In his speech he was also VERY supportive and complementary of Ron Paul!
So.. Big points for Baldwin, from me, after seeing that speech.
tired of this BS
I had planned on writing his name in the ballot, but he has told us not to do that.
Why are people misrepresenting Dr. Paul like this and now it ends up on the front page of the Daily Paul? WTF!
Dr. Paul said that we could write him in, but he didn't think it would be very productive. That is not "telling us not to do that."

Correct. Write in Dr. Paul
Correct.
Write in Dr. Paul if you want. There's too much collectivism in this movement.
SUPPORT OUR FOUNDERS' AMERICA
Support the Constitution of the United States
Both are the same
Both will continue our empire around the world. Both will continue the plan for a North American Union. Both will sound as wonderful as they know how but will not mean a word they say-Obama will win on this "issue." Both will do the bidding of the Bilderberg/Committee of 300. Both will continue illegal immigration. Both will continue to hasten our demise as a country. Obama thinks it is our duty to become "equal" to third world countries around the world, McCain doesn't give a shoot what happens to the people in this country as long as we continue on his elitest communistic path.
There is no choice here. You are wasting your time thinking about it. You should spend the energy you have promoting Dr. Paul and pray that he is the nominee in September. Period.
Don't get ahead of yourself
Instead, brace yourself for a tsunami of price inflation like we have never experienced in the history of our nation. It's coming fast. Read Dr. Paul's statement that was posted on the CFL blog. This may be the "crisis" that will allow Bush and Cheney to declare themselves dictators of the US.
My view is simple
If you vote for the major party candidates you have a choice of a communist democrat or a fascist republican. And, the lesser of two evils is still evil.
Easy
This is easy.
McCain says whatever he needs to say to get elected. His emphasis is on scaring people about the Islamofascist boogyman. He works best with the politics of fear. His greatest strength is that he is not Obama.
Obama says whatever he needs to say to get elected. His emphasis is on promising that people with money will be forced to share it. He works best with the politics of envy. His greatest strength is that he is not McCain.
In reality, neither has an principles. They are both liars. They both have sold their souls to the special interest groups that have ruined this country. Neither has a plan for fixing what is really ailing this country. In fact, neither even has an intention to fix what is ailing this country. Their only intent is to get elected and then to pay back the people who got them elected. The obligation to pay back the people who got them elected insures that both candidates will really work to PERPETUATE our problems because our problems all stem from the politics of plunder that got them elected.
See how this works? You have been offered the illusory choice between Obama and McCain precisely because they have promised (behind the scenes) NOT to fix our problems! Ahahahahaha!
What more do you need to know?
Excellent Summary
Nailed it. I going to copy this and forward.

Obama: Spend more for more wars and spend more for more welfare

A lot of things are gonna go down this summer, and Ron Paul could capture the Republican Nomination if we persevere.

You want info on McCain? Okay...here's some info on McCain. Grab a cup of coffee, your favorite cruller, and get settled; it's a long read, but well worth it if you really want to be informed.
And now the kicker: this is only the tip of the iceberg.
Just do Google searches like this:

mccain site:dailypaul.com
You'll find plenty of information on both, believe you me.

Dr. Paul
Has suggested you do not write him in, almost calling it pointless. Why do people insist on doing it? It's like believing in walking on one path even to the point of following it over a cliff. Our vote is precious, think of all who have died to give you that one single vote....and you throw it away? You might as well write it on looseleaf and tear it up yourself. I support everyone of my fellow Ron Paul supporters to the end, even to violence if needed but I cannot understand throwing your vote away. They are not even counted. Please, I beg you...put the vote somewhere in thrid party, it doesn't matter where. Just make sure it is recorded and not in Dem or Rep.
"The wicked flee when no man pursueth, but the righteous are as bold as a lion."
Voting third party
Will be throwing your vote away most likely. Most sheeple do'nt even look into third party candidates. Might as well go with none of the above. let's wait and see what happens between now and November. MSM runs the sheeple. I doubt third party candidates get as much coverage as Ron paul did. He may get more than they will between now and then. Maybe more people will wake up and either write him in or nominate him from the floor. Or demand he be on the ballot. Who knows. Crazy times!
website looks promising,
website looks promising, i'll check it out thanks!
Why come here to ask that?
They both have websites and there are tons of news articles. Don't vote for either of them.
Free and Brave
or Cradle to Grave
You can't have both
I come here to ask because
I come here to ask because Ron Paul supporters know what the hell is going on. Most of the McCain/Obama supporters are only voting because (and these are actual answers I've recieved when asking) they like the way "Obama talks" or "I'm a Republican so I have to vote for McCain". I mean really, does anyone even know anything about the government or who they are voting for anymore!?
Moe look at what you said.
Obama supporters like the way he talks ie: the way he bull shits. McCain supporters are brain washed by the neocon propaganda. What it all leads to is the dumbing down of the US. The supporters of both McCain and Obama have to be the dumbest people I have met, and yes I have met alot of them.
