I am recruiting as many people as possible on my email list to join the CFL and I'm using this script which you are more than welcome to use ...I also would like your input/tweaking to help make it better.... so with no further adieu:
This Fourth of July YOU can decide to just sit by and watch as our Country continues to collapse economically, as our Rights endowed to us by our Creator and bequeathed to us by our Founding Fathers continue to be systematically ripped underhandedly from our grasp or.... YOU can choose to be a part of something that has already begun to take place... a Movement of True Change... a change back to what our Forefathers envisioned this Country to be: a place where True Individual Liberty would be respected as much as life itself....Our peaceful rEVOLution consists of educating ourselves and others in the principles that founded this Country as well as uniting in purpose to ensure that legislation is passed/opposed to move our Country toward that goal as well as electing leaders with these same principles. These next two years will be important ones. JOIN US for the purpose once again of doing what is right for our families and posterity before the eyes of God, just as when our Country was breathing it's first breaths of life on that Fourth of July so long ago and our heroic forefathers sacrificed their "lives, fortunes, and sacred honor" to do the same.

Regarding the FISA Extention
This is the Downsize DC letter:
I am not afraid of terrorism, and I want you to stop being afraid on my behalf. Please start scaling back the official government war on terror. Please replace it with a smaller, more focused anti-terrorist police effort in keeping with the rule of law. Please stop overreacting. I understand that it will not be possible to stop all terrorist acts. I am not afraid.
My personal comment to you:
There is only one way to win the war on terror STOP BEING AFRAID.
On this holiday honoring our Independence, I ask you to think about those revolutionary men, the founding fathers, and ask yourself is this the sort of law they would be in support of ?
Those wise men set out to empower the people and to limit the power of national government, however after the events of September 11th our leaders have lost or forgotten the courage of our founders.
I think if they were alive today to see our government in action they would begin another revolution.
We are treating everyone as suspects, guilty until proven innocent, that is not American and you should know that. Do not spread fear, work to empower the people to be brave and stand tall in the face of danger and not shrink from responsibility.
Leaders lead, are you a leader of the caliber of the founders or are you a follower of those who spread fear and destroy our God given rights, those rights in the Constitution are not given by the government and therefor can not be taken by government.
America was once the shining city on the hill, because the world looked to us as the role model and example of freedom. We are losing our way and need to think and reflect upon what those great men envisioned for this great experiment in freedom we call the United States of America.

Since you asked for input, please note that it's equals it is always and should not used as a possessive; i.e. its first breaths would be correct.
It's a pet peeve of mine seeing so many folks using apostrophes incorrectly.

Nice letter but I'll offer one correction: it's is a contraction for it is.
....breathing its first breath of life should not have an apostophe. Peace:)

I would just tweak the " Join us and purpose again as.....sentence.

I have only two suggestions, please don't think I am criticizing.
1) "JOIN US and purpose again as when our Country"
When I first read this, I couldn't understand the phrase "and purpose again".
Perhaps,

2) Maybe, add a quote that I like by Ron Paul.
"We were not meant to be an empire, we were meant to be a Republic protecting Liberty here at home"
I can't remember the exact phrase that Dr. Paul used, but that was the gist of it.

I've noticed that many of the democrats I know, don't realize or don't believe that our rights are in jeopardy. Many republicans I know think the loss of our freedoms are necessary because of the terrorist threat.

Oh well, I can see that the priority of most people on this site is the top 10 drinking habits of someone .... no wonder we are pushing 100,000 memberships on CFL when we were supposed to have 1 million supporters... now THAT'S SAD!!
lighten up. We all need
lighten up. We all need some humor in our lives. There are so many depressing issues that concern all of us. We have to be able to laugh to keep from becoming suicidal!

agreed.... sorry, I got kinda down cause it seemed to me that no one was paying much attention... not necessarily at my post but at the fact that the goal now is to recruit people to the CFL to continue the rEVOLution.... and, well, I guess that's it, but I do know that we need to lighten up for our own sanity!
I have found that...
many people come and go, and don't visit this site every day, but that if you are persistent, respectful and truthful, that all good ideas will be accepted.

In retrospect I shouldn't have made a blanket statement and I apologize.... sometimes I feel that people are not focusing on the task at hand and I get irritated... but I do feel like ya'll are my brothers and sisters and sometimes you just say things to get people movin'.... again sorry, I didn't mean to offend anybody and I did get a good laugh myself....
