"It sends chills down my spine – because, you see, the real culprits are still out there. The FBI's non-investigation of this heinous and sinister crime was a joke from the beginning" -JR

Philip Zack?

There are real conspiracies out there to be solved.

But those in the truther movement I do not trust ...as truth is really not their guidepost.

I think the lack of attention by the 911 truth movement

to this issue says alot about their hidden agenda. If I were trying to cover something up, I would create a media source that put out loads of incredible trash, so obviously wrong or irrelevant as to make the typical person say WTF. Then, if anyone found out the inside job I was trying to cover up, no one would believe it, because it would be lumped together with all of the crazy stories. Misinformation can serve a valuable purpose. So perhaps AJ and his ilk are really the CIA plants, maybe they are purposely derailing any freedom movement that comes around, the same way groups use fake Nazis or Fake KKK to discredit people.

actually, Occam's razor would say they are just misguided, but you never know.

AJ came out of nowwhere it seems

Anyway, I like a person who can say, "Wait, wait a minute, I must reverse myself here. This may change everything."

Key to "taking a position" is offering up to the opposition the "SWITCH". That is, should this and this be found, I would or must "switch" and no longer believe such and such is true.

The reason the scientific theory of evolution is so resilient, is that it has such a switch. At any time a new discovery of facts and data can come in that totally goes against it. For instance, fossil evidence placed ancient man at various dates in history. DNA dating placed them around the same time. Those who study the bones for evidence of fundamental differences, thus species and family groupings found that the DNA dating converged. As the data keeps coming in, from fruit flies, to genes, to bones and "continental drift", supporting facts just keeps fitting in.

The reason conspiracy narratives are so resilient has zero to do with data and facts coming in. The amazing ability to disregard evidence and never have a "switching point", ie so much evidence to the contrary that one would "throw in the towel" means there is some other force as work sustaining the narrative, weather it be ghosts, ufos or what have you.

Sustaining the Conspiracy theories may really just be an emotional disposition, a particular Emotional-Personality disposition of the individuals who go along with such narratives. See DSVM for Paranoid personality disorders ---the likely suspect. Like moths to the flame, their internal paranoia bias attracts them to any long running conspiracy narratives, from UFO's, to 9/11 truthers and everything in between, they buy into it --"Cause you know they are up to somethin". On the flip side, their personalities seem impervious to ideologies. Other personalities may be particularly prone to become ideologues. Others, prone to phobias and still others, altruistic doves that preach egalitarian collectivism. Perhaps our million years of evolving societal tribal groups produces a natural mix of these types that taken together, make for an ever expanding and successful group. On thing is for sure, the paranoids are anti-elitist big government and thus a part of the Revolution like the ideological libertarians. What remains to be seen if self reflection and adjustments can be made when new facts emerge. It is telling that so many hung on after Super Tuesday, and it does not bode well for intellectual growth, but just may be the glue that keeps it hanging on for decades.

Yes,

interesting how they are no longer concerned about who perpetrated that particular little episode.
Simply don't care.
I wonder why?

Not.

terrific post

I wish that every human being reads this because this war is on everyone on you me on our families...

great post

I enjoyed reading the article linked above. After the article, the author reminds us that the "Old Right" conservative party was anti-war, anti-imperialist, and all about small government.

Those darned neocon hijackers.
