We The People should talk to Iran directly.
The criminal administration will not do this.
Ron Paul said many times that we should talk to Iran.
and this is a revolution.
I say we send a delegation to Iran to hold peace talks.
this would be huge front page news all over the world.

Perhaps we should organize
Perhaps we should organize talks with Washington DC...perhaps we should tell our 'representatives' that if they allow a war on Iran, they will be RECALLED.
I don't know why the world
does not rise up on this one and start spilling the beans. Someone needs to show how we are encouraging Al Qaeda to his the current regime in Iran, so that Iran will hit them and thereby give us a reason to start the war. We are starting the war by encouraging the insurgents to topple the current regime.
Why don't the Iranians spell it out and tell the world. Why don't some of the other countries get it out. Our country keeps things hidden, but no one else has to do that. The problem with us interviewing Iranians is that it will not get heard and anything that is said, our administration simply says they don't believe it and they push forward. Just like they did with Saddam. Saddam was a bad person, but we did not have to destroy the country. Get Saddam, but then get out. But no, our adm. tells us no occupation, no occupation-bull.
Our problems in Afganistan and Iraq now are not terrorists. The people are fighting us to get us out of their country. Our adm. calls them terrorists. Not.

Perhaps get some digital video cameras that will upload feed realtime via satellite of folks from the US on the Iranian Border with a lot of signs saying TRUE AMERICANS DON'T WANT WAR!!! What will they do? Bomb the US citizens?? I don't think Iran would have a problem with the US citizens being there pleading for no war.
The video feed could be uploaded to YouTube where millions around the globe can see it. There could be interviews with the citizens stating they are NOT ok with terrorism nor do they condone any attacks on Israel by the Iranians. THey don't condone war coming from any side but that the political system in the US has failed us and this is the ONLY way to try and prevent a war.

organize a regular "call Iran" program like they did already last month..it would gain more attention! Where is that lovely video we had going around last week. It breaks my heart that we may not be able to stop this tragedy!

There's a law against it.
I can't remember the name of the Act, but it is illegal.
They often look the other way if people that are "in the game" do it.
But you can rest assured that if any "real people" tried it, they'd be doing their talking from inside a jail cell.
And with the spate of recent laws they've pushed thru about 'terrorism", they'd be sure to be able to hang some "collaborating with terrorists" charges onto you too.

Carter was able to do it but us we might end up in jail.....but direct action like this could be a huge success imagine if we change things...this would be powerful so powerful our movement would be joined by many dems and become an international movement.
Yes, you can try it.
If you have strong convictions about this particular approach, and are willing to risk very big sacrifices for this battle, you can do it and face the consequences that they will put on you.
Many very courageous people have undertaken things that were highly principled, but got them in jail. They stood for their convictions, and in certain circumstances, some made a difference in the way history played out. Some are famous for it, and others rot in jail unknown, but they each made the decision to try to do what they thought was right in the face of great adversity.
There is nothing wrong with taking a stand, and in fact there's alot right with it.
If this is the battle that you want to pick, then by all means have at it.

I know this is a tough one.
How do we do this? With out the media making us look like traitors. I liked the call Iran thing they did in Washington where they talked to someone in Iran. There has to be a way to do something big that would symbolize how we feel and help the people, not only Iranians but the Afgan and Iraqi and our men and women in the military. Ron said many times we should talk to them the other option is what the military industrial complex and the big oil wants which is war!
I am desperate to stop this coming war....
