Canadian economy...how is it?
I work on straight commission, and the US-based company I work for recently expanded into Canada. Is the economy better in Canada than here in the US, and would I be wise to shift my focus to sales in Canada?

I travel to windsor ontario canada alot , almost every week.
and the gas stations are closing at a rapid pace.I talked to a guy who owns a station and he told me that after you do the conversion it's about 6 bucks a gallon. :(
it will go down
Ontario is going down, its a Big industrial province. Alberta is doing very good with their low taxes policies and all the oil.
Canada allways follows the US just one or two years behind, 80% of canadian exportation are going to the US. So you can imagine how the economies are linked
Could you rank these,
Could you rank these, starting with the province with the most prosperous economy? Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, Saskatchewan.
Thanks very much for your help.
I'd have to say that AB is the most prosperous by far
I can't really comment on the others though, except for MB (where I live).
The socialist leaning NDP party is currently in power in the provincial gov't. That is usually not a good sign :-)
ps. thanks for user who made the correction on the NDP + SK.
Alberta and Saskatchewan..
are smokin hot, thanks to high commodity prices especially oil.
Alberta yes, but I'm not sure on Saskatchewan
They have a socialist-leaning provincial government in power (the NDP).
And they are very heavily farming-based. The farming economy is just atrocious because of all the State involvement.
Sask. is booming
Saskatchewan has oil, also potash is through the roof. Saskatchewan also has much of the worlds Uranium which is in high demand. The NDP are out of power at the moment.
