Wouldn't terrorist just take off bracelet before he made his move.

I just love how some companies will do anything or say anything to make a buck off the taxpayer.

In the fine print somewhere I'm sure there is a disclaimer on how it's not 100% full proof. In the meantime they hope they will have made a cool billion before something does happen like terrorist just cutting off bracelet.

If these devices are implemented I'll be shorting the airline stocks. I can't imagine shock collars, er bracelets, being good for business.

Personally, I've never been afraid to fly and these bracelets would not scare me away from doing so. But what they would do is cause me to drive a lot more often when there is a feasible choice to make between driving or flying. For example, I think I would choose to drive 8 hours instead of taking just over an hour flight.

These devices remind me of that movie Wedlock, where the prison inmates are paired up and made to wear explosive collars which explode (for both inmates) if either of the pair is ever separated by too far of a distance. http://www.imdb.com/title...

Who would let them put one of these devices on their kids? How about elderly or those with pacemakers?

Yeah, like I'm going to TRUST them to not KILL PEOPLE? "OOPS, sorry, we mistakenly used this on someone with a heart condition and they DIED!" How will this work in relation to people who already wear pacemakers? I can only see red flags going up all over the place! How many innocent people will they "accidentally" KILL with this device?

The last time I flew out to California from Florida for my father's funeral in 2005, I was singled out on BOTH trips, there and back. I was in my late 40's, 5'2" white female, made in the U.S.A., yet I was singled out for additional screenings and made to feel like a criminal??? I will NEVER board another plane as long as I live, though I do love to fly.

What's to keep from zapping the wrong passenger. or the terrorist from subduing the guy with the control before he can use it? That was a fake video was'nt it? If not it looks like something that could easily be overiden.

Let me know when the space ship lands because I think I want onboard.

Surely TSA will adopt this technology because its the typical well thought out protection they have always provided.

I have made a decision to not fly because of the lack of security to protect me from my government. They have made traveling a nightmare and an invasion of privacy.

But I didn't have the heart to put it on her... I decided I'd rather hear her bark...

Along those same lines, didn't the gov't make RFID chips mandatory in farm animals? Now you will all have a little chip as well... Seems to be a pattern there... Is it possible that we are considered, by our loving masters, as just another "herd"?

I'm sorry but you can kiss your tourism trade goodbye. It's bad enough with all the other airline checks and balances without this. There is no way I would have an electronic zapper placed on myself let alone a child or an elderly reletive. Folk can panic on flights through fear, etc. It's just not worth the hassle, especially when many folk now realise that it is our own government who are the terrorists or at least responsible for any blowback caused by our politics and war.

In the video, when discussing all the security measures thus far taken in airports, and describing the various reasons why those are not fully sufficient in battling terrorism, they freeze-frame the video, superimpose the key phrase to make their point, and announce, "Technology is only as good as the people using it."

measures began occurring, and I tried to use airline services, and saw what was going on, I have boycotted airlines and airports since that time.

I will not fly, nor will I go to any airport.
If I can't drive to my destination, then I don't go to that destination.

My sincere hope is that all the airlines go out of business.
Then, when the gov't airport gestapo are all out of jobs because of no airlines, then new airlines can start up with the stipulation that the gestapo can keep their asses out or they won't start an airline company. The gov't has single-handedly destroyed the airline business, along with, of course, anything else that it touches.

I really think there is a business opportunity waiting for an enterprising person to begin a small-craft airline system that doesn't go thru any major airports and skirts the TSA totally. Freedom Airlines.

I'll be driving from Idaho to Minnesota, either in a veggie car, a water hybrid (both projects in the works) or else renting a Prius. We had to go to Wisconsin last month and that is what we did - VERY impressed with those little cars.
If I ever want to leave the country, I have a sailboat. Seriously, I will NOT give the airlines and Federal Reserve notes so they can treat me like a terrorist. What a deal...

The mammoth Department of "Defense" could not allegedly manage to control the airspace of the U.S. Military Command Center (Pentagon) on 9/11. Now Fatherland Insecurity is going to track the movements of millions of airline passengers each day? Has the Big Brother Government figured out how not to lose track of large commercial aircraft on radar screens yet? Oh, I forgot, the FAA and the military only have access to 1950's-style radar technology.

Thankfully, this new technology will allow Big Brother to taze anyone who would dare to commit the crime of smoking in an aircraft lavatory.
