Please Help Your Fellow American Workers!!!

This is a plea not only to the DP, but to every Red, White, and Blue American. PLEASE if you are in the market for a new HDTV, or digital camera, and you want to buy American instead of something made in China, please continue reading.

There is an American company called SyntaxBrillian, that manufactures the Olevia brand HDTV, and Vivitar brand digital cameras. These are both fantastic products that are assembled right here in the USA, by American workers. Olevia is an incredible HDTV that has received numerous awards, and is on many ten best lists for HDTV's. It is the fastest growing HDTV on the market, and is a prominent sponsor of the NFL, and ESPN. I personally own an Olevia, and have been super impressed with it. I find it has the best picture I've seen, and costs hundreds less than most brands.

I also own a Vivitar digital camera, and I cannot believe the quality of the pictures compared to other major brands. It simply blows them away.

Just to clarify, I am in no way associated with either of these brands. I am just a consumer who seeks out products that are made in the USA. Too many of our jobs have been shipped overseas, and it is our duty as Americans to try and help our own economy, since our government chooses not to.

Please, Please, Please, if you are in the market for either a HDTV or digital camera, just do some research on these two brands and you will be pleasantly surprised. And PLEASE try to seek out products that are made here in the USA. Just flip over the box and look, it is something we should all start to get in the habit of doing. We need to help ourselves people and we need to help our fellow American workers, and quit buying junk made in China.

I realize that sometimes it's tough to even find things that are still made in the USA, but with just a little extra effort, you will find that the products are out there. Heck, I had no idea there was even a HDTV or digital camera still made in this country. But with just a little bit of research I found these two wonderful brands. We have got to pull together in these trying times and support each other, because each other is all we've got.

PLEASE BUY AMERICAN!!!

Here's a good related site: http://www.howtobuyameric... I learned about that site when the publisher/author was interviewed on TV back when french fries became "freedom fries."

I like the idea of buying American, but sometimes doing so is a very difficult financial decision. It should be an easy one but too often is not.

The only way for our prosperity to continue to exist is for us to produce and sell more than we buy. And for that to happen America must be more competitive.

I own the vivitar vivicam 6300 and I love it also. And I am glad it was made in the USA. Why dont we start a list of products here made in the USA. Since I cant read those small labels any more

I own semi-professional Canon camera

and a little Vivitar and I think the Vivitar takes superior pictures.

I support quality, not workers. If the workers happen to be American, all the better.

Here's an interesting link:

It's a certification body for made in America products.

Well,

this is a great idea as long as they can keep it from graft and kickbacks. I am so discouraged anymore. Peace

Great Idea!!

Like an ISO type certification. I only hope it becomes a true realization, a true governing body. We'll have to wait and see. We need to push for it!!

If you work

and make something let's promote it here. Peace

I'm giving

this a bump because it is important. It is really hard to know what is made by Americans anymore. Peace

I think this would be a

perfect thread listing great American made products. I didn't know that information you gave and appreciate it. Maybe, change the title to Great American Made Products Thread. Just a thought. There must be more than two, although everything I pick up says made in China. I had to call to get my car towed and the person was in India I could hardly believe it. Peace Patriot
