En Ingles, por favor.
I really thing that these would be more effective if they were done entirely in English, rather than Latin.
Just going on looks
and not content--I like #2.
Definitely 2. It is very
Definitely 2. It is very clear and easy to see and navigate. WAY cool.
what
language is #1
#1 is much better. #2 is for diehard RP supporters only.
"Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters." Benjamin Franklin

Shouldn't
Ron Paul be listed first in much larger print ??
#2 but with some changes
I'd like to see the wavy lines removed in favor of a thick sun rays used in the 1st image. Not only that but the lines should be behind the banner not in front of it to make it cleaner. Currently the lines are in front of the entire banner like they are on the top most layer instead of behind the main banner graphic. Those lines are meaningless filler material and should not be in front of everything but rather behind.
I do love the design of #1 but the color scheme isn't right. Combining elements of #1 and #2 would be my preference.
I am a graphic and web designer and find no fault with the designs only personal preference of what I think would make for a more professional design using existing elements shown.
definitely number 2
number 2 rocks ... but needs a little more polishing .. however the design is great!
NUMBER 2!!!!!
unequivically #2
I think #2 is more aesthetically pleasing, more compact, and just has a nicer overall tone. (#1 is pretty cool too though)
2
2
Definitely #2..
...did my eyes deceive me? CFL over 89,000 members strong now?? I'll have to go over there and see....
serious- i saw #2 before i even knew there was a choice
and it actually jumped at me- i thought "wow -waay cool" which is odd for the amt of stuff we see everyday. Its the silver cartouches with the classic fed reserve font and eagle. Its powerful.

I like it!
definitely like # 2, one is
definitely like # 2, one is to cluttered looking. 2 logos are much more striking and better colors but not overdone.

Great choices
Like many of you, I feel the #1 is a great website design... very nice... but #2 is a beautiful image that really embodies America. Maybe the head from #2 with the body of #1... kind of a frankenAd.
Really nice work, I'm sure we would all be proud of either one.
Is it Carleson Tucker or Tucker Carlson ?
I like # 2 as well.

# 2 seems very rally- ish as a site! Beautiful work!
#1 is a bit more youthful. Very vibrant and energetic! This design would work great for promotionals. You're good!
Looks like you won with #2
Great work! You're very talented!

First one
I can't articulate particularly why this is, but the first one -- the one with the ribbon banner and the silhouettes holding up the signs -- just feels more full of hope and promise. Completely subjective, of course, but while both designs are very good, the first one takes the cake.
EDIT: Ooops, I already voted on this (in comments below), but I guess now it's down to just these two designs going head-to-head. I'm sticking with #1!!
I prefer #1 because I think
I prefer #1 because I think it would be more effective in attracting people other than die hard Ron Paul supporters.
IMO #2 looks good but it's a little bit outdated and too "Southern". I'm not so sure that on-the-fence McCain supporters, Obama supporters and indecisive Independents will like this style.
Even though we think Obama sucks, his campaign's success comes from their neutral and non-political "branding" of his campaign. His website design is very non-political and I think those in charge of the Campaign For Liberty should learn from that.
Don't get me wrong. I love the Red White and Blue w/ stars and stripes, but I believe that many non-Ron Paul supporters might be visually scared off and turned away. I know it's unfortunate but it's the truth.
Our goal is to get the entire country on board and not just us Ron Paul freaks.

The first one looks more
The first one looks more polished over all, but the top banner on the second one rocks.

Voters for none of the above
These are awesome! I also submitted a design...
yes, these and a few others' look really professional/shiney, and that's great.... if I had known that that was what they wanted, I would have gone for that... but the description was for a theme (I figured it should be something more than just patriotic symbols... I chose the light of liberty, and the rising sun on our new movement), and a sort of pop-style... So, that's what I tried to deliver. I don't mean to sound like I have hard feelings, because I don't... I think any of these (especially mwinn's and skmarketin's) will look fantastic.... but my one criticism for each of theirs is that, as far as a theme goes, I'd say there's not much substance.
Luckily, this isn't art, and nobody's going to be critiquing the website for conceptual elements (Now if only my school critiques were like that). So it's not a big deal....
I don't mean to sound snobby... that's just what art school does to you I guess.
As for me and my designs.... I'm not a web/graphic designer, so I was just happy for the experience/opportunity to try this and see what I could do. It was fun, and sadly, I have nothing better to do (probably why I submitted so many variations).
Anyways, I can't wait to see which one they picked! It'll look great once it's up and running!
I like both.
I felt that #1 had a feeling of immediately drawing me in, and easy to figure out how to navigate quickly.
#2 had an awesome picture of Ron Paul with the Founding Fathers that I loved.
Good job on both of them!

First one
I prefer the first one, particularly with the silhouettes of people holding up the signs that remind us of what has made our country so great.
The second design, while also quite good, looks very similar to many other political sites. The first one stands out more, imho.
Uno
After exercising my own idependent thought, principles, judgment and conscience, I'm gonna have to vote for Number 1. They both look great, but I like the layout on number 1 better.

Awesome
I like the artwork of number 2, but the layout of number 1 if that makes any sense. They are both excellent. Good job!
You have some real
You have some real talent.
Of those listed so far in this thread, I like these two.

The black figures at the top holding up the main ideas is great. Its not a fawning design for Dr. Paul (small picture, I detest the cult of personality). It focuses on the event place and clearly gives directions on the main page.
http://99designs.com/cont...
The "new old" graphics here are like those used for the Philadelphia event. I love that look and would argue we should use it as much as possible. I don't like Dr. Paul's picture being larger and in front of the founding fathers. He should be the same size and appear to be "with them".
I didn't design them. I was

I like...
the one that has lots of yellows & the graphics of the convention floor.
I'm a little tired of all the red, white & blue stuff.

Colorful, a lot going on, but not tacky or obnoxious. I like all the soft edges.
