I like this Jeb Hensarling guy
He's asking good questions of Bernake. Funny to see Ben stammer and stumble.
Typical Washington Nonsense
Typical governmental garbage from the shrills. It amazes me that Ron Paul does not get more upset about how these "committees" can side-step his direct questions. How they can ignore the history of fiat currencies and ignore the M3.
I spoke with a die-hard neo-conservative a few weeks back about the price of oil and I was trying to get him to understand that higher prices are NOT inflation, but the increase in money supply is inflation. The price increases are a result, more so, of the increase in money supply. I pointed to the government statistic of M3 and how the government is no longer representing it. He looked at me with confusion and said, "Where do you pull this stuff from? Are you making this up? M3. yeah right." Fortunately I had some material available for him to see in order to clarify.
It is amazing that so many neo-conservative minded individuals can be so for constant aggression and war in the name of liberty and standing up to aggression, but for them to NOT know how the Fed has to inflate the money supply in order to accommodate their excessive spending on these military conquests. Furthermore, this activity by the Fed is the reason our most recent economic downturns have been pulling our country down in the financial markets, housing markets, and banking industry.
When the citizens of the US are finally able to make the connection between our monetary policy, or lack thereof, and the problems with our economy and war spending, we will once again be free. It is up to us to continue to write to our congressmen, senators, and representatives in order to be a lobbying group of our own. We need to start running for office and educating our family, friends, and neighbors. For if we stand by and do nothing, we will only have ourselves to blame for not being a true patriot to our country and to ourselves.
Great statement and question by Ron Paul
Poor cut off answer by Paulson. I would like to know how the United States (the world's largest debtor nation) looks better on paper as far as future growth than China (the worlds largest creditor nation). At least he was smart enough to say he wanted a strong dollar. While he didn't answer the question, he implied that the value of the dollar was dependent upon how the future health of the U.S. economy appears to the rest of the world. Funny... I always thought the value of the dollar was derived from our willingness to use or military to enforce its acceptance.
I guess we'll have to wait until they have their sub hearing before August to get answers to unimportant questions about monetary policy.
I can't believe anything
anybody says any more. I just consider it good to get their fraudulent statements on the record.
did he go on already?
Fortune Favors the Bold
He is Next To Speak at 11:30am

Did Ron Paul speak yet?
I'm just getting connected to the feed, so I'm a little late...
IT IS LIVE ON CNBC NOT CSPAN.
IF YOU HAVE A T.V.
WAHOR!!
I REALLY hate looking at
I REALLY hate looking at empty chairs in Congress as so many important issues are being debated.
Me too
I think it is England that I sometimes flash by and they are jumping up and down, talking, talking and every chair is filled. Tight little room that is buzzing. Seems better than what we do, by far.
Don't worry. All those
Don't worry. All those chairs will be filled when it comes time to regulate bottled water or decide which low-flow toilet to use or whether to ban plastic bags.
