Why did I ever take the red pill??

About 8 months ago, I was living in a trouble-free world.

As long as I had my microbrew beer and my wife, friends, and dogs, all was well.

When I was younger I always thought, "We (the USA) are the good guys..these countries that hate us are just jealous."

However, in the back of my mind, I always knew something wasn't quite right.

This past October, I saw "Google Ron Paul" signs all over town. I did, and dismissed him as just another Republican from Texas, like Dubya.

On an internet forum, someone encouraged me to look further at him, and as soon as I did I became hooked. Here was an honest politician (usually an oxymoron) who wanted to fix this mess our country has become.

He is not about "change we can believe in" or ever say, "my friends,"
but he addressed issues that were always paid lip service by other politicians.

If I never took that red pill I would not have to argue with my college buddy this evening over how Obomba is a flip flopping puppet and will bring no change.

If I never took that red pill, I would probably be watching "Dancing with the Stars" right now.

I am so glad I took the red pill.

...so you would end up...

...worshipping this guy:)

My wife just

got finished yelling about me being so overinvolved with all this. I just came back from DC all charged up. I told her that ignoring where this Country is now is like finding your house on fire and running upstairs and locking your self in the bedroom to hide from it

this is why the Founders did not give women the right to vote..

--women are typically nester's ie they like to make a nest. Which means they would be more likely to give up some freedom in order to have a home, or safety. Nothing against women...(and this may not be true across the board)

--you might have her read Dr. Paul 's book to allow her to understand your passion as well

Be compassionate

She is using intimidation to silence you instead of understanding your view. Patience and compassion is your ally to bring about her awakening.

Grateful

I cannot suppress the tears reading the accounts of the recently awakened. For 20 years, I'd resigned myself to destitution because no one knew, no one cared, and no one did anything. Because of Dr. Paul and the near instantaneous transfer of freely exchanged information, not only do I have a fuller understanding, but my brothers and sisters are arising where once they laid still. All of you give me hope!

The land of the free....

I too have had quite an experience after "taking the red pill". I landed in jail 2 weeks after telling our county commissioner we need paper ballots. I have confronted our State Attorney General, and our State GOP Leader "New World Order minions" and many other congressman and senators, military, and law-officers. I probably turn-on about 10 people a week to the growing anti New World Order movement (Or Liberty movement)... And you know what? The people I turn-on to concepts of the New World Order, and why our dollar has collapsed, and why 9/11 was an inside job, and how the Rockefellers run the USA, these people come back after researching more, and teach ME THINGS!!!

I was a big Neo-Con, just 23 months ago! You should see the hateful, then immediately loving looks I get from "fellow red-pill" people whom I tell this. I am on the front lines, fellow Patriots. I have devoted my life and prosperity to this movement, and the only time I will stop is when I am dead, or locked away. This movement is big, but you and my fellow Patriotic American are bigger, when you sacrifice your time and effort, and fortunes to PUT DOWN THE NEW WORLD ORDER! God Bless you and your families. God Bless America.

Good Forum.

There are so many areas failing already. I think you have to try hard to ignore it at this point.

The Red pill

Yes, the red pill is both sweet and sour but it feeds the senses and raises our awareness of the truth. Welcome to the real world. Read Thomas Paine's "Common Sense." Dr. Paul's "The Revolution a Manifesto" is the second Common Sense.

When Thomas Paine wrote that the sun has never shined on a greater cause than ours, that we have the power to remake the world again, and that Americans in his age gave birth to the seed time of continental union, honor and faith, he was addressing the soul of the world while he rallied the colonists to the cause.

Paine's words spread like wildfire not only throughout the thirteen colonies, read directly by a full 20% of the Americans of his time, but to England and Ireland, then Paris, ultimately everywhere. As have Dr. Paul's. Common Sense was one of the great bestsellers in history and Paine, who never had money and was often broke, made a small fortune, which he then donated in full to the cause of the colonists.

Dr. Paul is the 21st Century "Thomas Paine."

Thank you all for joining with Dr. Paul as "We have the power to remake the world again."

Love you all.

Voluntary Association + Mutual Cooperation + 110% Personal Responsibility = 100% Individual Liberty

Sad

Funny - my wife said the other day how sad it was because I used to be such a supporter of our country and government. That was before my eyes were opened. I told her that I do love my country very much, that is why I care about the things that Dr. Paul talks about. But, it is sad nevertheless.

Nice to see the signs woke

Nice to see the signs woke up another friend of liberty. It just shows that we must keep educating, informing, and telling people about freedom even when we aren't sure if anyone is listening. Thanks everyone for standing up for goodness and liberty.

You can't go back, nor would I want to, but

it sure does get powerfully uncomfortable at times. I found out about Ron Paul through a natural health site I subscribed to...I was getting considerably frustrated, amazed, aggravated watching the FDA work hand-in-hand with Big Pharma, who they were SUPPOSED to be monitoring; got tired of suppression of natural cures, suppression of vitamins/minerals, etc.
Anyway, I don't know what's going on with me right now, but I am not at a good place, don't know if I'm going insane, as some propose below, or whether it's just being slathered in too much truth at one time. Or maybe it's just the crap going on this week: FISA, Bill 362 (Iran), another Kucinich Impeachment Article, Fed Reserve wanting more power, paper ballot issue here in PA being held up until 2009, Congress ignoring the Redress Petitions, faked missile pictures, MSM not reporting actual news, etc. I feel like my nerves are stretched as far as they can be; I feel like my nerves are guitar strings that could break at any second; I am irritable, I am testy, I have absolutely ZERO patience (and I have always been known for my patience)...anyway, I hope it's just a phase one must go through as they march ever forward towards liberty...

..there ARE days like that,

..there ARE days like that, but remember one thing. These issues are going to change everything. This country can and will not continue in the agenda of the globalists. The Constitution will prevail as the People become ever more watchful and active. I am further thinking that we should escalate a bit, and get a surveillance camera in every congressman's office with our own intelligence gathering committees. THERE is where true terrorism resides.
Once you start doing something ACTIVE to change things in a purposeful way (run for office, join a party, give out Constitutions, speak at meetings, write congressmen every week, etc.) you will get calmer. Put the anger into construction. It works.

I am so grateful

that I have been woken. Puts a lot of things in perspective...whats really important ya know?

Having the knowledge of the

Having the knowledge of the uphill battle we face can be depressing from time to time, but we are much better off having the knowledge and our information war continues. I dance circles around anyone who wants to engage me in political debate.

Red Pill

Tim, there are hundreds of thousands(millions?) of us out here that feel exactly the same way. Although the drastic decline in our quality of life due to the terrible effects of runaway inflation makes it very difficult to freely donate to our cause we all must remember once you know the truth you can never go back. That is exactly why we will win.

How to Feel Better After Taking The Red Pill...

I took the red pill over 20 years ago and have been a fan of Ron Paul’s for that long. You can never go back. You can kind of shelve it for a while but you can never see things the same ever again.

God bless the rebels! They are responsible for just about every leap forward in human kind, those that went against the status quo and didn’t give up no matter how great the opposition. You’re all in good company.

If you our feeling alone, depressed or overwhelmed there is one sure thing you can do to feel better and empowered. TAKE ACTION!

Start attending your local Republican central committee, I guarantee you if you go long enough you will find some allies there. Consider running for PCP in the next election of even for a local or state office.

Yeah I know it’s scary at first but no worse then feeling depressed at the state of things, and once you do something you will feel so much better about yourself. Yeah you’ll hear the neocon crap at the meetings but so what, you hear it everywhere else just ignore it best you can and stay focused on your goal.

Other things you can do are start doing literature and or DVD drops in your neighborhood leave some contact info and you may find some more allies. Freedom to Fascism is a great first time wake up DVD for folks and the JBS have some great stuff too along with many other things that have been developed during the campaign.

Have a showing at your local library and call the local papers and issue a press release the week before. Most local papers will do short press releases for free. Also pass put out fliers and put them on cars.

There is nothing like some action to dispel the doldrums… Plus it is necessary if we are to take this country back. There is a saying: “Do your best don’t worry about the rest” That is all any of us can do. Don’t compare yourself to others just do your best then try to do a little more.

One other thing plan a barbecue or get together for your meetup or local group of supporters to not feel alone so much, sometimes you need to cut loose a bit and just have some fun with like minded folks.

Great thread TimB

Your thoughts have been our thoughts. Like they say, great minds think alike. LOL

I want to be a pusher

Reading the posts so far, there doesn't seem to be a bad trip among them, side-effects notwithstanding.

I just got an e-mail from the DVDs for Delegates project. I was very impressed with their first script and proposed DVD.

The DVD is the Red Pill.

There was a great film done about Ed Thompson that I ordered on DVD and gave to my Mom (D) and Dad (R) that convinced both that they would love to be able to vote for Ed (L). These red pills can be powerful. http://www.filmbaby.com/f...

The DVDs for Delegates project can do the same this time.

Folks, they need money to pull it off. Those of us not going to the march should really contribute to it. Once it's produced, perhaps we can buy extra copies to give to all our friends. $20 per delegate is targeted money, more efficient than any sign-waving.

I donated two days ago, but I think I'll donate again. Our Ron Paul delegates will need all they help they can get from us before they enter the arena. http://www.dvds4delegates...

The blue pill sucks!

I'm with you but I took mine several years ago when the Gore/Bush debacle took place. After that mess, I started really questioning things and the further I dug the more garbage I found. Then when 9/11 happened my brain went into hyper drive--I think I managed to make every single friend I had back home and family member--except for dear old Mom--HATE me! I was the white male version of the Dixie Chicks--LOL! You see, back then, hardly anyone was screaming BULLSHIT!!! Everybody blindly got in line and followed their "Dear Leader."

I'm here to tell you, from someone that's been traveling down the rabbit hole since 2000, that it doesn't get any easier or better. Once you open your mind to things it's almost impossible to turn off--believe me I've tried. Honestly, the only thing that saves me is that I don't own a TV and I live in Japan.

Anyway, the best reactions from the red pill: It has made me a great investor; made me extremely interested in history; introduced me to Ron Paul and the Mises Institute.

The red pill has left me much better off, even if it does bring more stress into my life.

Right with you brother

A year ago I had a lot less worries, but I was in a fog-not really understanding the lying I was seeing all over the place. The education has been rapid and I've got to commend Ron Paul, the daily paul and infowars to expand my knowledge (along with Web of Debt, Money as Debt, The Creature from Jekyll Island, Money Masters, Esoteric Agenda and a whole bunch of youtube clips and unknown news clips.)

I think I've had such a rapid education because when I'm lied to about something (like Republicans stand for the ideals of the party or the Congress stands for the Constitution) I seek the truth out until I'm dog tired.

God bless the truth seekers

title

suggests that you wish you had done otherwise.
but whatever.

I remember those days

I remember when Fox News was my main reason for paying for cable. It's not that I didn't see that what has been passing for a struggle between two sides has been really a waltz down the path to destruction, but I didn't see any other path for history.

I came to see neocons as stepping on the toes of their waltz partner and at least slowing down the dance. I gave their mouthpieces excessive benefit of the doubt. Once that paradigm shift happened, I would be on the hook for the sin of applying the benefit of the doubt too liberally and that's what kept me in the cycle of continuing to apply it and racking up that many more sins.

What started to turn me was really wanting to hear out someone my husband was giving money to before making my case that we couldn't afford it. Libertarian concepts had appealed to me from a young age and the rhetoric of the Republican party spoke to that, but, of course, I knew the results were something else. I learned to view the slow slide as Republicans being too weak in the face of the socialist threat, but, according to Rush, you have to work with the Republican party, even if you have to play politics or you won't accomplish anything. That's how I came to enter the search term "Ron Paul" at, where else?, foxnews.com. I saw an article about someone in congress who had been voting his ideals and, it turned out, those were libertarian ideals. I could relate to being a lone voice speaking the truth even when it made no difference and brought more difficulty for me.

I was almost hooked. The only thing that I hadn't accepted was his stance on immediately marching out of Iraq, although non-interference in the future had me sold. A woman at a Ron Paul meet-up I went to (he was spending so much time watching Ron Paul youtubes, it was my chance to do something with him) mentioned how nervous she was that her son was nearing draft age. Although my Fox News-trained response was to question her patriotism, I was holding a newborn at the time and really had to ask myself why we would sacrifice one more child. Finally, I read the Sermon on the Mount with these things on my mind and really got perspective on what power is all about and how followers of Christ are not called to exercise it even in the name of a moral cause. It was enough to break the paradigm and I no longer saw the Iraq war as a moral cause.

Red pill vs. blue pill is a great analogy of how you have to accept every part of a false reality for it to hold together. It crumbles at the slightest contamination of the truth.

Good post.

As confident as I am in myself and my sanity, I still think maybe I am starting to go insane. Like Neo.

Does anyone else feel that way?

WAHOR!!

I don't know

how anyone can face the prospect of a New World Order without the strength you get from faith in God. Ron Paul certainly does. You can tell because he shows NO FEAR.

This is just part of a larger cosmic struggle - there's no doubt in my mind which side I'm on (and most of the dailypaulers; minus the disinfo trolls)

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

Ephesians 6:12

I agree

I believe he is divinely inspired and protected.

We do fine

I am sure you do not understand much.

My post was a reply to rhino

Are you speaking FOR him??

Obviously HE is having difficulty coming to grips with the NWO conspiracy even if YOU are "just fine" standing up to evil without God behind you.

My faith does provide a solid foundation.

But others find it in other ways.

WAHOR!!

Well good

Glad to hear it. Remember that whenever you feel like you're going crazy; this is all just temporary anyway.

why did i ever take the red pill...

thanks tim. we can all relate to your tale.
just wanted to make one comment - you said "honest politician" an oxymoron...

well, how about just calling the doc what he is - a "statesman".

he ain't no politician - not by a long shot!

I agree,

he is indeed a statesman...

what is that saying?

A politician only thinks about the next election, whereas a statesman thinks about the next generation.

Cheers,

TimB

Indeed

Statesman is a more proper term.

Welcome to the new paradigm.

Is ANYONE aware of the weapons being bought to use @ conventions

CNN has reported that 100 million dollars is being spent for security at the Democrat and Republican conventions...

Most of it is being spent on 'Science Fiction' like WEAPONS, to be used on 'dissenting' groups.

This is NO joke.

the red pill is a big one

the red pill is a big one and was tough to swallow..but im damn glad i did...the only thing i regret about is now knowing how many people happily swallow the blue pill...

Yeah...

We're all red pill freaks in a blue pill world.

But...

Would you wanna go back? I mean, I know ignorance is bliss, but it won't always be that way. As things get worse, at least we'll know who to blame. Maybe then we can really wake the rest of them up... who knows.

I took the Red Pill.

I had no idea what I had done. I knew things were not quite right, but what really made me stand up and say wait a minute, was 9/11. I still have so many questions about that day that still remain unanswered. I have become an addict to the truth. I want it. I get high off of it. It is truly an addiction. I have abandoned my family sometimes in this learning process. I have let regular things go to the wayside. I have a much different opinion on what I think is important nowadays. I have ranted at friends, I know some of my friends think I have gone insane! Lol. Sometimes I think they're right. I cant help myself. Sometimes I catch myself in my addiction. So sad. I guess I am most pissed off for being lied to my whole life. For being told how good I have it compared to other countries ( that's a great one huh? Oh, the guilt they throw on you for having the addiction...) I find myself willing to fight to the death for the mere sake of truth. Everyday is a battle for the truth to shine. Sometimes I start thinking about what the future holds and how bleak the overall picture looks and I wonder what this country or the world will be like in 20 years. Assuming I am still around, I hope I never have to look at anyone and say I told you so...

I took that pill 31 years ago.

I’m also glad I did. But I think I was actually happier back when I was ignorant, you know?

--Cliff, Sioux City, Iowa

Yes...I know what ya mean.

Being a sheep wasn't so bad. I kinda miss it. I guess it will be easier on us to be awake when this one rolls around, maybe the pain of knowledge is preparation for what is to come.

Welcome...

... to the world which we have helped to create.

Our mothers and fathers failed us. Theirs failed them.

We dropped the ball people. The "controllers" are really slick.

Since the days of Rome to now, the same tricks upon the people
have worked time and time again. Keep them bedazzled with bullshit
and they'll accept anything. Debase their money, no problem cause
they won't notice. You can take a country to war (many times) under
the guise that you are doing it to save the world (hero complex) and
use that cause to do anything under the sun, all while the people
sleepwalk from home to work and back, none the wiser.

The pieces of the puzzle have started to lay themselves out to most of you
because the ability to "see" the maze has finally been lifted and available for the world to see. It's called the internet. It's the greatest base of human consciousness we've ever seen.

It's opened the doors to hidden histories, suppressed or dismissed accounts
that have laid dormant and brought all that to our fingertips.

I hate to have to say this but most of our so called history is a lie.
Why is it a lie? Because the MEANING behind historical actions
are discounted or glossed over.

Lincoln's assassination comes to mind.
Who was John Wilkes Booth? Does anyone give a shit? There's always
more than what has or was, written down covering the event.

In our own time we're more close to the Kennedy's assassination.
The books, the movies and the endless parade of tv talking heads
reminding you that only lone nuts are ever responsible.
An act that was sold as "a magic bullet" while patting the collective child-like head during a bedtime story.

The Gulf of Tonkin.....
Vietnam.....
Pan Am Flight 103 (case still unraveling to this day)...
Oklahoma City.... (grand juries outcomes never seem to make the news)

and the queen mum of shitstorms

9/11

As scary as it is to come to terms with all of these things, I find it even
more frightening to think that a "free" United States hasn't existed
since the beginning. That controlling bitch, the queen whore of a mother
country, good ole jolly England continues to find ways to remain at the helm.

First off she helps to foment the Civil War to try and break us apart.
Then her agents come again to take the money supply in 1913
and thus enslave us with taxes down the road.

Fast forward to a an seemingly endless century of war.

She uses her stupid bastard son to kill the mongrels of the world under
the pretense that he must defend Israel. She laughs as the U.S. and it's people squander their wealth and their blessings like fools for Gods unseen
all the while giggling at the "village idiots" crying foul.

Welcome...

The feelings your going through are hard I agree. It feels so dirty and disgusting to revel and wade through the morass, because you can't turn
the truth off like a tv. It nags at you. It burns hotter than the sun inside
each and every person that comes in contact with it. Yet, to know truth
or some of "a truth" enables us to become ADULTS. To remain at the helm
in a train full of deceit, belies the mind of CHILDREN.

Welcome....

TO REALITY

I blame myself.

"Google Ron Paul" was my brain child. Sorry about waking you from the trance.

Jive! Great to hear from you. You gotta love English

And the way it lets us verb nouns.

I just want to get my kicks before this shit house goes up in flames.

After I found out about Dr

After I found out about Dr Paul, my life changed. After 7 months of learning about Ron Paul, the constitution, the founding fathers, our government, i thought He destroyed my life. It felt like I was becoming a nut. I always try to bring those 4 things up to every person i run into. Some listen and agree, many turned away or won't listen to truth. I really had to think about it all for awhile, and came to a conclusion. After learning, listening, researching, and understanding all of it, I will never turn away from ANY OF IT. Ron Paul is a true American hero. Thanks to Ron Paul I understand my rights, pay more close to politics, became a respectful person towards people and myself. I shall spread the message of freedom to my death.

I'm glad there are more people out there that have been influenced by Dr Paul

Dude!

and i thought i was the only one that bugged everyone about truth...
