2008 Republican National Convention Announces Online Video Contest
Check this out: (There is only one reason I'm a Republican, and his name is Ron Paul).
SAINT PAUL, Minn. - The 2008 Republican National Convention today announced the launch of their 2008 Convention Video Program with YouTubeTM, the leading online video community that allows people to discover, watch and share originally created videos. The national online video contest will ask Americans to answer the question, "Why are you a Republican in 2008?"
From July 9 to August 1, Americans can submit video responses to this question at the Republican National Convention's YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/gopconven....
Based on the most creative and compelling submissions, the Republican convention staff will narrow the field of entries to five, and starting August 6, the YouTube community will have the chance to vote for their favorites. The winner of the contest will be announced on August 14.
YouTube will send the winner of the contest to Sen. John McCain's campaign press pool for one day to shoot video of life on the campaign trail. The winner will then attend the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minn., where their winning video will be shown as part of the convention's official proceedings.
"Our goal is to engage as many people around the country as possible in the national convention," said convention President & CEO Maria Cino. "We're excited to partner with YouTube to empower our supporters everywhere to broadcast their messages to the world leading up to our convention."
Robert M. Duncan, Chairman of the Republican National Committee, announced the program today in a video posted to the convention's YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/gopconven....
"Working with the 2008 Republican National Convention to engage their supporters underscores the extent to which our national politics is now in the hands of everyday voters," said Steve Grove, Head of News and Politics for YouTube. "This promises to empower more and more citizens to have a voice in our national political dialogue."
YouTube has played an integral role in connecting voters with the contenders for the nation's highest political office. In an era when Democrats and Republicans alike depend on online video to connect elected officials with voters, the "2008 Convention Video Program" stands as a symbol of our time.
YouTube also announced an identically-themed program with the Democratic National Convention today, which can be found at www.youtube.com/demconven....

I hope Dr. Ron Paul submits a video...
Peace
HAHAHAHHAHA
Our supporters are going to make it extremely difficult for the GOP to lie and say that these 5 pro-mccain videos they will choose are the best submissions...
Yes...
Because its not like Ron Paul dropped out or anything...
When I read this, I started
When I read this, I started laughing, you just know the winner is going to be a Ron Paul supporter.
Thats Quite an Assumption to Make
Given the hostility of the GOP toward Ron Paul, I'd be willing to bet that even if 99.999% of the videos submitted for this contest were from RP supporters, we won't "win". The "winner" will no doubt be a McBraindead supporter, but you know what?
It really doesn't MATTER because we don't HAVE elections in this fucked up country, we have CIA installations, and they INSERT whoever they want. It wouldn't surprise me if the "winner" of the next "election" was selected last summer at the Bilderberg Meeting in Ottawa.
Also- WAKE UP: We are SLAVES here. We have NO RIGHTS under the so called "Constitution". Don't believe it? Read the Paddelford Case where it was declared in open court that "there was a Constitution, and we were not a party to it." (None of us ever signed it, so we have no rights under it.") See http://www.themillionaire...
RP is nothing but a tool of the Illuminati.
The role he plays is to help keep the peace by preserving the ILLUSION that we have "rights" under the Constitution. The role he plays is to preserve the ILLUSION that our vote even MATTERS. I ONCE believed in him. No more. I see through the guy now. All he is is another Illuminist, another tool. If this weren't the case, he'd have spoken out on the issue of election fraud which he turned a blind eye to. If this weren't the case, he'd have spoken the truth about 911.
We need a Revolution, but not of the phony Ron Paul variety. We need a REAL Revolution, and not of the 1776 variety EITHER since that one was FAKE too. Revolution, Buckminster Fuller style
Buckminster Fuller was of the opinion that politics would never solve the fundamental problems faced by humanity.
What he advocated instead was something he called the Design Science Revolution.
I had heard of him before, but it was not until a few days ago that I realized what a great man he was. I think his strategy has more potential to bring about more real change than anything people can do through politics. Best of all there's nothing violent about it.
Please check it out.
JHamm...My assesment below may be wrong...I encourage critizism.
We appreciate all you do at IAHF and what you are currently doing for the Canadian people, but you need to know that in order to start a Revolution in the real world it has to have first been started in the hearts of those who would fight.
I hate processes as much as you do...getting things done doesn't always mean getting things done quickly or in the way we percieve as the most effective.
The process for a real Revolution is:
1. The hearts of at least 2% of the people (6 million+ Americans) have to be changed...Interestingly enough this is very close to what needed to happen to have the "bottled water" revolution...not that I agree with the bottled water concept, it's just an example of what it took to get people to act in Real Life. We need numbers...I hate to admit it because for my house we'll do whatever we can to make changes, but we need numbers.
How? Educate, communicate, convince, but never force!
2. The People have to start the Revolution, not some orchestrated group of armchairs, airconditioned, lazy false patriots.
3. The Revolution: Changes all political activities, removes the rule of lawyers and establishes the rule of Law based on the Natural Law of the Individual, maintains local/individual power, removes Federal/National Power, provides a system of checks and balances, encourages competition and decreases Multi-national Monopolies, and we live as we were intended.
You have done much for the Revolution...please don't isolate yourself because we don't move on your time table. Forcing others to move on your timetable doesn't allow for us to actually be free, it only gives us a new master.
To everyone else...WAKE your neighbors up, the revolution begins only when we have enough to survive through it!!
Yours in Health and Freedom
That's really stretching it.
That's really stretching it.
You are
so right and cia installation sums it up. Peace
Details are important
August 6, the YouTube community will have the chance to vote for their favorites. The winner of the contest will be announced on August 14.
A Definite Bump
This is a small way to do a big thing, we should be ashamed if we can't do this. Thanks for posting!
