Not sure why whe was there...did someone miss the obvious?

RE-POST:

I just took a did a little digging on the "American Freedom Campaign". Their message stunk like an open fish market on a summer afternoon. It uses the language of ideas found in the Constitution, but very sloppily. I've read enough old Communist material that the language was familiar. The fact that the list of signatories is essentially Democrat party die-hards was a big tip-off.

As I suspected, it's yet another front group for the radical left to dupe people normally opposed to them to sign onto their agenda to usurp power. It's very clever, and so very much like them. I don't know if you've read The Naked Communist or any of the early Communist publications, but this is one of the tactics that they're very open about using.

The AFC was created by three well-known pro-Marxist organizations with nice-sounding names: Centre for Constitutional Rights, Human Rights Watch, and MoveOn.org, the infamous red group generously funded, among others, by the anti-capitalist international financier (what an oxymoron) George Soros.

The century-old formula: set up seemingly pro-Constitution and pro-American front groups, garner money and support from one's enemies, and if effective, use it to put their people in power.

Unfortunately We the People as a whole never learn from history, and here we are repeating it a hundred years later in 2007. Fortunately, we have the Internet and the ability to search the radical red web sites where they're laughing at us all the way to the bank.

I've only lightly gone over Naomi Wolf's material, but so far it's typical diatribe meant to scare people with rapid-fire fact and fiction with little to no logical connection. So far it's the same old, ho-hum shameless Bush-is-an-evil-Nazi bashing that's been on the news since 2000. At least, I've not seen anything new or enlightening.

Now, this does not touch on the things that they allege or argue. That's a totally different set of subjects that I can use to beat up both sides of the aisle. *grin*

Just my two bits.

How about those guys

How about those guys with the "F your Govt" sign that almost got into a fight with the people who were trying to get them to use some more scruples in their marching/rally effort?

Naomi scares me. Not her; what she says.

Those guys with the "F your govt" sign were scary, too. Them.

I haven't read the book and

I haven't read the book and would kinda like to. However, I think she is off base on her main premise. I also think it's a bit theatrical, though this may be a byproduct of not doing a better job oppose to the objective. A list like this is never comprehensive and truly clear. Either way, I don't think she is right in her comparing us to historic dictatorships and their historic destructions. It is not the same. We are different then what was before. There are many differences but I would say the crucial difference is simply the fact that we have elections, that we have a constant changing of power. And as much as many people here believe nothing is going to change, which i partly agree with, I also believe going through the motions of changing the executors of power inherently has a benefit. If nothing else, the more power is changed and the more that constant mobility does not result in a progressive improvement, the more the individual citizen will begin to take notice, take action, and take care.

she gave a good speech

she gave a good speech

She is HOTT!

"Whether you think you can or think you cannot, you're absolutely right!"

what a hypocrite. She voted

what a hypocrite. She voted for Obama knowing full well he voted for the patriot act. I do like her book though.

I was hoping

In a couple of the videos of her speech you can hear me bellowing "O-bomb-a!" when she talks about the "Defense Authorization Act of 2007" and the "FISA Amendments Act." For those of you unawares, O-bomb-a voted for both pieces of egregious, unconstitutional legislation.

I was hoping that she would have a moment of clarity and admit that she was totally dumb for voting for one Barack H. Obama and then writing about it on the Huffington Post.

"Of all the candidates running now, he is the leader on understanding the threat to the Constitution and actually taking action, not just mouthing soundbites, on the need to deny torturers space in our nation and to restore the rule of law."

But this does not detract from her work on the End of America. The parallels are quite clear that we are sliding toward a version a fascism, what I would call national corporate-socialism.

Sad. She doesn't know a damn thing about economics

Did anyone there give her a copy of Ron's new book?
It's got some economics in it...

post

I don't think America is falling to fascism

I think they are falling to totalitarianism because the government strictly regulates both economic and social affairs. Under fascism you can still have a free market.

arguing about whether we

arguing about whether we lean toward fascism or totalitarianism is like you arguing about whether I'm going to smash your hand with a hammer or a mallet.

I'll respond with my own nonsense like we're actually an authoritarian nationalist psuedo-ocracy.

which is like me pulling out my sledge and smashing both your hands.

instead of arguing about which heavy implement I was going to crush your fingers with, perhaps your time would have been better spent removing your hand from my reach.

The are two kinds of totalitarian rule

Communism has its origins in the labor movement. Fascism has its origins in big business. It should be obvious to everyone on the Daily Paul that the US is not going communist. Its going fascist. Its "welfare for big business". That's the whole meaning of the phrase "national socialism".

As an example, Hitler didn't mess with the Ruhr industrial barons. They put the Nazis in power. Hitler bent over backwards to bail out German industry. Even if it meant taking his country to war with the USSR, most of western Europe and the US.

Ask yourself what the military-industrial complex wants. Ask what the oil and natural gas companies want. For that matter, ask what the big banks would want. Its not rocket science.

-"Ron Paul cured me of my predilection for Che Guevara T shirts."

Look at the Nolan chart

Communism is on the extreme left, fascism is on the extreme right, anarchy is at the very top and totalitarianism is on the very bottom. If you charted the U.S. on the Nolan chart it would be more towards populism than anything else because the government is controlling both social and economic issues.

I prefer Dictionary.com

Totalitarian (adjective)

1926, first in reference to Italian fascism, formed in English on model of Italian totalitario "complete, absolute, totalitarian," from the Italian cognate of English total (q.v.). The noun is recorded from 1938.

-"Ron Paul cured me of my predilection for Che Guevara T shirts."

Controlled opposition = Naomi Wolf

Scary.

Maybe she has

bipolar disorder. One side of her understands the communist manifesto implementation on America and the other side is too stupid and ignorant to see B. Hussein O-bomb-ya is part of that plan.

So give her a break...it could be a medical condition.

It is perfectly possible for someone to be

1. right about US foreign policy.
2. wrong about economics, sound money, etc.

I was in the same boat until I discovered Ron Paul. The poor neo-cons are wrong on both counts! That's why Dr Paul said it would be easier to convert Obama supporters than McInsane's followers.

-"Ron Paul cured me of my predilection for Che Guevara T shirts."

affirmation: President Paul

affirmation: President Paul 2008

and the reason Naomi Wolf publicly endorsed Obama is...?
Anyone care to explain?

that was before

FISA...haha

I say lets convert Obama supporters making this video go viral.
and this one helps too

I want millions of dems to join us in CFL

Because Obama is going to

Because Obama is going to win.

Very good read

She does an excellent job at comparing American tendecies with historic dictatorships, without being too fringe with the 'Black helicopters are coming!' notions.

yes

we should send this to all democrats who adore her.
This is a perfect tool to show them that Ron Paul revolution and CFL is also for them to join.

I am "going crazy" today spaming 4 words on every youtube video I can
google campaign for liberty
hope many dems join.

and she is so hot

I say Ron Paul/Naomi Wolf 2008

The Campaign for Liberty is a good idea, but

I think Ron Paulites need to be more open to accepting all groups, and not centralizing everyone. The ACLU, Red Cross, Amnesty International, etc are all groups that work diligently to protect human rights, civil liberties, and freedom...although they may not all be Ron Paul spearheads. Groups such as these are 'our' allies, and we must be willing to work with other groups, despite our differences.

I know no one here likes it, but the EU is surprising an ally. I just got back from a two week trip to Germany, Austria, and Czech Republic. The Germans will do ANYTHING for peace, because they have suffered a century of war. Czech Republic has 80% support for a referendum on the Radar Shield that Condi just signed off on...The Mediterranean Union is not a NWO front...it is a conscious effort to establish peace. And I think if more Paulites did their research (on sites other than Infowars, Youtube, Wikipedia, and Daily Paul) then they would realize that there is a global effort to promote freedom and liberty, althought the groups may not all be glued together, so to say.

We forget that many of us came from other parts of the spectrum

before Ron Paul won us over to his side. I, myself used to be a socialist. I thought Ron Paul was a crazy kook but eventually I started changing my mind little by little. We need to try to get everyone, regardless of their current beliefs. The truth will change their minds.

I accept these other groups to a point...

Wherever we can find allies on a particular issue, it's wise to join forces. On the big federal issues such as the Patriot act etc, the ACLU is fighting a good fight. Otherwise, I would never ever support them- financially or otherwise. They are an enemy of this country and individual liberty. Although they occasionally do some good work, the rest of the time they wage campaigns of religious bigotry (towards Christians) and anti-individual rights. The "civil liberties" part of their title serves as cover for their other dubious activities.

The EU ? Sure, if they oppose the criminal actions of this administration, they are allies. Otherwise, they have little in common with the purposes of the issues that matter to most here. Indeed, they are the antithesis of the values represented here, and apparently many in Europe as well. The EU is an oppressive NWO entity. True "freedom" and "liberty" are hardly concerns of the EU. They care about these issues as they are defined for the purposes of their hegemony, not in any true sense. Certainly not in the vein of the founding fathers, nor our historic definition.

As for Naomi wolf, go Naomi! She has been a articulate spokesperson for these issues. But then, I scratch my head... she's against fascism and abuse of power but she was a die hard Hillary stalwart... Oil and water.

Also, I hope she continues pursuing her education on the Bill of Rights. Maybe then, her lukewarm understanding of the second amendment will mature. That may be just a bit too much of a paradigm shift for her.... ;-)

I agree, except for the ACLU

I have come to see so many instances of them taking our rights away, rather than helping with our rights. They really are misnamed. They do not help homeschooler's rights, and in my alma mater in NH, which at graduation had a tradition of the Gideons handing out bibles to the graduates, and one year two of the students were Hindi, and asked the ACLU to intervene, because they didn't want the bibles and said it offended them. They did, and effectively stopped them from handing out the Bibles, despite that most of the children wanted them to. The students were not forced to take them, so this is so ridiculous. They pander to groups only, and rarely do they stand up for individual rights, although occasionally they do seem to be on our side.

yes

I lived in Europe in 2002/3 and was present in the biggest anti war demonstrations in Rome....in Bern Switzerland for example 10000 people came in the city that has 130000 people.

Europeans are really very educated on NWO 9/11 and military industrial complex...
I talked to Greenpeace people in Rome and they all knew 9/11 was an inside job...

yeah............about

yeah............about that......
