Where is the CNN report?
Assuming CNN actually reported that, which I have some doubts, they are way off base. In a small living room you can put 10 x 10 people easily, which is 100 people. So they would be saying that there were only 5 small living rooms worth of people there, when the video clearly shows I would guess 10,000 people (I wish it showed all the way until the crowd trailed out).
Someone needs to post the CNN report, otherwise I'm thinking this is misinformation coming from us. Let's not play that game.

The Impossible Cannot be Reported
CNN is reporting there were a maximum of 800 supporters - word on the street is the entire march must be a Photoshop creation by a handful of Ron Paul's Internet wizards.
CNN says they only gave Ron Paul 5% of the news coverage they gave McCain and Obama, so it's impossible that many people could have found out about Ron Paul.

I have seen almost exactly 10,000 people at an outdoor concert before and it looked like about the same size

You could make an estimate by counting the number that walk by in a minute and then multiplying it by the total length.
However, after the second segment of video ends, there are still people marching towards the Capitol as far as you can see in the distance!
So, it's even more than the videos show.

The Next March
The next march has to be in public, not in a downtown area on a weekend when nobody is there to see it. (I realize this was an important event for us, but it could also have been more high-profile.)
We've done this before with marches in city centers on the weekend. If nobody sees it, it didn't happen.
If people see it and wonder who we are and what it's about, the media have a need to fill, especially if the public calls the station and asks about it.
Can you imagine this at lunch hour when Congress is in session?

DC March Euphoria! Woot!
Hey I can see myself and daughter walk up in beginning of part two!! I stood up on the fountain and just watched everyone keep coming up Constitution Ave with my heart full of pride and love for all of us! At that point was just half of the march length...I still could not see the end even standing on the fountain! We were chanting and yelling the whole way but everyone also was full of joy and smiling too! I think it is me I hear at the end I say"amazing" and it truly was!
My daughter has alot of video and hope she can get it converted soon to post it!

Perhaps the confusion in head count is due to the sheer numbers ( as opposed to shear numbers) of self starters in this movement providing independent media coverage. You can see in this video ( which, by the way, is a great example of my point ). Every few feet of the March, people kept stepping ahead and peeling out of the would be rabble to record the event, exhibiting the media equivalent of a problem in physics known as the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle since the measurement process itself changes the thing that is measured.
Another explanation is also to our glory. It’s hard to call this gathering a crowd ( as in ‘madness of’ )… they don’t consistently chant like a chorus and they herd like cats. ;-)
There is nothing lockstep about our dancing, hopping, skipping and jumping marchers.

Thousands of people marched peacefully in Washington D.C. on Saturday, to honor Texas Congressman Ron Paul's campaign for liberty, yet the mainstream media uniformly failed to issue a single written report on the event in its aftermath.
The goal of the event was to organize a peaceful, non-violent march on the streets of Washington D.C. followed by a rally outside the Capitol building in support of restoring constitutional government as the founding fathers set forth.
In light of this, the event was a resounding success, as it went off without a hitch and also saw thousands of dollars raised towards the Ron Paul Campaign for Liberty.
In addition to Ron Paul's keynote speech, audiences were addressed by Pastor Chuck Baldwin, author Naomi Klein, banking expert Edward G. Griffin, former head of the CIA’s Bin Laden unit Michael Scheuer and Iraq Veterans Against The War spokesman Adam Kokesh, amongst others.
It is estimated that around 2500 people attended the rally. Some have expressed disappointment that there were not 15,000 plus at the event, given that number had pledged to attend on the campaign for liberty website.
However, the day was extremely hot and many were seen camping out on the outskirts of the rally area in the shade. Some bloggers have suggested that as many as 8000 people in total attended the event.
These numbers were seemingly not significant enough for the corporate controlled media to pay any attention to the event. A loan blog entry from the Chicago Tribune is about the sum of the written coverage the freedom rally attracted.
Meanwhile, in what was clearly a gross distortion of the truth, CNN ran a short report which stated that Ron Paul addressed only 500 to 800 people.
