Obama's Civilian National Security Force. That's a Huge Change.
Here is a change that Barak Obama mentioned in a speech recently.
"We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."

That's pretty scary.
What's scarier is that only WorldNetDaily.com has written anything about it.

Do a Google News search for that quote and it's almost total silence. If you do a normal Google search you'll see it mentioned in some blogs and forums.

Good concept; bad execution
Actually, this is something we should be rooting for, isn't it?
Put down your pitchforks. Hear me out.
Now, he does have it wrong in a lot of ways (no surprise). Obama is calling for a national civilian security force. What would truly be helpful is state and localized civilian forces, i.e., militias. This, I am all for.
And while I am absolutely against making it mandatory, I do appreciate his calling citizens to service. It's been a long time since most Americans have felt a call of duty to serve their country in one way or another (myself included -- if it hadn't been for the RP campaign, I'd likely not be involved or even considering active citizenship, either). There is a line, of course, between encouraging involvement and enforcing servitude, which Obama clearly crosses. RP inspired me to get involved; Obama would force involvement. And the irony of that, which we've all observed throughout this election season, is that paid or coerced service has got nothing on voluntary, enthusiastic service.
Here's the paragraph that particularly disturbs me:
"We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we've set," he said. "We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded."
And why can't we rely on our military? Well, gee, they're not here! They're spread out all over the globe, and Obama isn't going to bring them home; he's just going to rearrange their worldwide deployment.
Yet, I agree with him, with a slight alteration: We do need a civilian force that is just as powerful as the military, although my vision of such a force may not be quite what he has in mind...more like what the Founding Fathers had in mind.

Another huge bureaucracy like the Dept. of Fatherland Insecurity/Stasi Police? That's exactly what's needed to help along an inflationary depression and fight the Global War On a Psychological State!
I'm assuming that O-bomb-a's "national security force" will not bother securing the borders in any meaningful way while fighting "terrorism" overseas. But maybe this is designed more to recruit the O-bomb-a Neo-NeoCons to effect a self-policing surveillance state.
What other ways can Big Brother Government be expanded? How about an Aqua Teen Hunger Force?

The Brown Shirts Are Coming
This man of questionable background, makes this kind of statement of a big change and it is barely mentioned. What is the matter with this counry that they don't see the "real" change ahead? Shivers.
