How to Pay for the Sept 2nd Rally?
My friend and I are in a tough situation. We managed to drive to DC for the march and now pretty much broke.
We have to get to St. paul on sept 2nd. Cheapest way we found is train and it will be $300 round trip + hotel each.
Anyone have any bright ideas on how we could raise the money. (we already both have full time jobs and it is barely paying the bills right now.

All great ideas below.. Plan
All great ideas below.. Plan for the next trip in a year by investing in gold. Ron today spoke about its importance on Kudlow and at the hearing. Practice what he preaches.

Problem Solved....
You need to have a Paul-a-thon. All you need to do is to create a form for people that cannot attend...to sponsor those that can. We do these all the time where I live. I did a bike-a-thon two years ago. I simply picked up my form and got 100 people to sponsor me to ride my bike 25 miles to raise money for cancer research. Thousands of bicyclist participated and we raised tens of thousands to fight breast cancer. The petitons can be created by individuals and sponsors can be family, friends, co-workers, and others...or an online form could be created. Have a Paul-a-thon! Enjoy your trip my friends! I will donate $25.00 to get the ball rolling. Keep me posted. Good luck!
Why not try
having a yard sale? Get rid of things you dont need or want anymore!
Catch a ride with others from your area and share gas and room expenses!
Share a ride?
I wonder if people would want to post where they are located and offer to share expenses with others. I would love to go but my car is having some problems along with the fact I can't afford the gas. If there are buses or people wanting to split costs a post would help all that want to go. I am in Oklahoma. I can sleep in a campground in a sleeping bag, no problem!
many ways
you can go greyhound sure its cheaper they have specials if you buy tickets at least two weeks before travel.
sleeping~
I would sleep in the park 24 hour McDonalds even a homeless shelter just to be there and help change my country.

Try camping
Try camping instead of staying at a hotel. Me and my liberty-loving friends stayed at Camp Mawavi for 2 nights for $20 a piece. That saved some fiat dollars.

--Contact your local Meetup for assistance and ideas.
--Put an ad in the a free press stating you want a ride.
--Pack your sleeping bag and should be able to "camp" in someones room when you get there.
--"Will Work" for $ to go to RP Rally
VISUALIZE YOURSELVES THERE!!! And never get discouraged.
The Revolution March had
Ronvoys (buses coming from all directions) and campgrounds rented, and also I think they had transportation going from the campgrounds to the march.
I read somewhere that the same person that organized the Ronvoys had volunteered to do Ronvoys to the Rally in September, and also would find campgrounds. Anyone know about this? Maybe the soon to be Campaign for Liberty website will have this info.

Maybe I can try to sell some Ron Paul Artwork.
same here
only i didn't go to DC. i did start a chip-in for our delegates to get to st. paul http://ronpaulsanantonio.... (i know - no one has donated yet, but i haven't been promoting it - i found that for our state convention, a lot of people pulled out because of financial and/or work situations so they gave us money at the very end), but as for me, i am probably going to try to sell some paintings..our meetup is having a fundraising idea meeting. so, my suggestion is don't do it alone. get some people to help you. and if you start a chip-in be sure to promote it. i plan to pay some bills late and cut out some thing i don't need for the next 2 months also.
RonVoys??

A couple ideas
people love food. Make and sell something such as baked goods. Car Wash, Dr. Paul likes red wine someone mentioned buy some red wine put a cool Ron Paul label on it and sell it here. Get creative with it. You could sell tons of it. Peace
bikini car wash
would make tons of money
Ummmm----I think it depends
on who is wearing the bikini?
Buy as much Ron Paul Revolution Cola as you can...
...(at http://www.campaigncola.c...). That way you'll get it for the cheapest price. Then you can re-sell it for twice as much and make a TON of fiat "dollars"! :-)
