Bob Barr is not pushing the Neocon agenda, he is pushing one very close to Ron Paul's. He may be full of BS, he may not be willing to actually follow through on what he is preaching. So what? He isn't going to win the Presidency. His purpose for us is to get the word out and to do exactly what he is doing, spoiling McCain's chances and acting as a protest vote for us. Quit pushing this as an either/or choice between supporting RP and the CFL and voting for Bob Barr, they are entirely compatible.

There are other options as well, but I haven't seen any that have the potential to impact the GOP and the Neocons as well as this one does.

Yes, I agree. Even though the chance of Dr. Paul getting the nomination is going to be almost the size of a football stadium, I believe in it. We're living in weird times and sometimes our dreams come true when we least expect it. We don't know what could happen. In my personal opinion, I didn't jump ship because if I'd done so I wouldn't even be here anymore. I know I made a comment months ago but maybe it's because this whole thing has been new to me. I'll be honest with you guys, I didn't know who I was going to vote for this year. Ron Paul taught me so much that I'll always be grateful to him for his efforts. When I considered Dr. Paul, I had a hunch that he was the right one. Even though I started voting since 2004, I immediately got fed up with what I saw and decided to do my own homework. By the 2006 midterm elections, I think I definitely convinced myself that the message of freedom had to be spread somehow. I told my sisters and my dad what was going on. Unfortunately, I only have my dad on my side (at least for now) but at least it's something; he's an independent voter and we reach common ground on several issues. To me (and I'm sure to many others) we have 2 options: freedom and fascism. I was taught to be loyal, I'm loyal to Ron Paul. If Dr. Paul doesn't make it, then I'll look at my cards and play my chances.

Try to imagine for a moment how things might have been if Paul never entered the race. Not Paul nor anyone else could have imagined what would have transpired over the past year. The PTB has been completely reactionary. Had Paul never entered the race we could very well be faced with Giuliani as the presumptive nominee. So did the PTB drop someone else into the race? Sure several of them by my estimation and that's why we're now facing a McCain nomination. Look at all the different candidates from the GOP. They all have their niche as far as discrediting Paul. They tried to throw Thompson in at the last minute to co-opt the Paul campaign and Huckabee tried to clone himself after Paul toward the end of his stint.
