Can anyone help me?

I would like to learn how to post videos on Youtube. What software is needed to create scrolling text, zooming in and out of text and pictures, and also creating animation?
Also, what is the best video editing software? Anything else I need?
I would like to produce some quality vids for display some day.

If you are a novice video

If you are a novice video maker, (like me) and are a windows xp user, there is version of Windows Movie Maker already in your operating system. It is relatively easy to use. Instructions for how to convert your windows movie file to the Youtube compatible format are found on Youtube's site. If at all possible, use what you have before buying anything expensive or complicated. Good Luck. Look me up on youtube and see my vids. Same handle. Boscovius

Thanks! I viewed your videos...

And they are good examples of what I'm talking about. I experimented once with Windows Movie Maker about a year ago, but only with still pictures, and it was more like a slideshow. I'll experiment again and see if I can figure out how to do the fancy zooming and panning of text, photos and video.

P.S. I used to be your "neighbor" as I lived in Indiana for about 25 years. I have many friends in Ohio. Go Buckeyes!

looks like there's lots of freeware available

I heard Wax was a good free one.

I'm trying to figure this stuff out myself because I have lots of video of the Revolution March and rally.
