Help send PA delegates to Minneapolis!

Word on the street has it that Pennsylvania might have to leave a delegate behind because of fundraising issues. Here's their latest fundraising letter:

The Update

Donations picked up with the second appeal. Thank you! Watch the "ticker tape" at the bottom of each fundraising email message for some recent names of contributors to this effort. If you know who they are, call them and tell them "Yeah, baby, yeah!" because they deserve it.

Deja vu all over again, we haven't hit the $6,000 goal yet, so please help out with a donation that works for you. Those Federal Reserve Notes are rapidly losing value anyway. Germans burned currency for warmth after WWI. Consider a donation to help out a delegate an investment in a better tomorrow.

Tell me the Deal Again

Pennsylvanian's Ron Paul Republicans elected 19 people to attend the GOP annual convention. A few need help to cover convention expenses, principally travel and hotel. It's expensive - up to $1,800. It's a hardship and they very much need help. Please go to http://cpalpac.com/home/d... to donate.

Whoa, aren't they just gonna hoover shrimp?

Are you kidding? They're like David going into the lion's den. They have real work to do in trying to convince other delegates that Ron represents a real solution for what ails America or at least that McInsane is a joke ready to lose to Obama. They're going to be the outsiders and it will be a trying ordeal.

What's with Ron? Didn't he withdraw? Can he win?

After not gaining enough delegates during the primaries for a nomination, Ron suspended his campaign (like Romney) in order to eliminate FEC expenditure restrictions. This allowed him to launch the Campaign for Liberty (C4L) - please join at the below-mentioned site. A nomination at the convention is still possible albeit a long shot. Lincoln, Garfield, Hayes and Harding all won as dark horses and McCain is a sorry candidate. Whatever Ron's odds, it remains very important to send Pennsylvania's Ron Paul delegates to the convention to build for the future.

We got a Future?

You bet. Look, the neo-con dominated GOP is going to lose like all get-out this Fall. The Ron Paul movement, now the Campaign for Liberty, will pounce on this weakness by helping to elect people nationwide who will fight police state laws, unnecessary mercantile wars and confiscatory economic policy (Fed + IRS) that promotes massive government. We must take over the GOP! They and the Democrats have jointly made us less free, less affluent and less secure. Keep informed by joining Ron's Campaign for Liberty at http://www.campaignforlib....

Ron's Campaign for Liberty shadow convention in Minneapolis on September 2nd will be a blast. That's the drawing board. Go the C4L site for details and try to attend this event. I hope to see you there. If you missed the Washington, D.C. march and rally this past weekend, it was great. An estimated 8,000 to 10,000 people attended.

Again, please go to http://cpalpac.com/home/d... to donate and thank you. Any size contribution will help greatly. Please let me know if you wish to donate but do not have the means to do so electronically.

Yours very truly,

Bill Faust
former Field Director
Ron Paul 2008 Presidential Campaign Committee

cheap transportation

To cut costs, ride Megabus from Cleveland. I worked out one RT schedule. RT Cleveland-Minneapolis is $70. The Minneapolis-Chicago return leg leaves Minneapolis at 10:30pm and arrives in Chicago at 6:30am saving the cost of one night in a motel. The Chicago to Minneapolis bus has the same schedule so no motel is needed the night before the convention either.

There, I have just saved each delegate about $450 of motel and flight expenses.

To plan your Cleveland>Chicago>Minneapolis bus ride go to http://www.megabus.com/us...
