When we as a people ask the government to solve our problems, we encourage the government to become larger and more powerful while we become smaller and less powerful.
What's it going to be? Individual responsibility or freedom from individual responsibility?
We all know the unfortunate direction that human nature prefers...the path of least resistance, the path of least effort.
In some other incarnation, maybe a nation will arise that has a Bill of Responsibilities rather than a Bill of Rights.
