New Batman Movie Promotes FISA

Ok, so I just got home from seeing the new Batman movie and it was good. However, I couldn't help but notice something eerily similar to that of the new FISA. I'm about to spoil a small part of the movie, but necessary to explain my point. In the movie, Batman links up ALL cell phones to give off a sonar-esque signal. He can then see pretty much everything in between all walls and hear all transmissions. Morgan Freeman's character (Lucious Fox) is in charge of finding the one signal from the Joker. He doesn't like the ability to watch every citizen, but he does it for the greater good of finding the Joker. If this doesn't sound like the recently passed FISA, I don't know what does. It's giving the President the ability to spy in on EVERY American, however, there is no real Joker. Our government wants to spy on you (and probably me after writing this). I clearly remember one scene in the Departed where Alec Baldwin was giving high praises for the Patriot Act. The one line of praise stuck out in my mind, because after watching "Thank You for Smoking", it dawned on me that lobbyists try to win over the ideas of the movie at hand. Without actually coming out and saying "by our product", they instead push an idea and subconciously get the viewer to be in agreement with it. Let me know what you think. If you've seen this movie, or not.

Hollywood is run by the same

Hollywood is run by the same media people who want NWO. They have been using movies and TV to mold public opinion for decades. These media outlets are probably their most potent mind control devices. Ever since the "6 day war" the media has been working tirelessly to achieve the goals of breaking down American society and advancing certain people into high power in govt and business positions for the purpose of holding the American people hostage if we do not unconditionally support their murderous ambitions.

Ron Paul 2008

Having been a Batman fan for some time

Fortune Favors the Bold

If you have read the comics, Batman is not a black and white hero like Superhero. He is more of an "anti'hero" A persistent them (of the good comics anyway) is the fact that he is essentially a vigilante, someone who takes the law into his own hands.

Check out Frank Miller's "The Dark Knight Returns" from 1986. It's probably the best comic story written, but it deals with all these themes very well.

I don't see the movie as promoting such ideas per ce, just trying to be a bit more intelligent then the previous franchise.

Fortune Favors the Bold

Oh come on...the Bat-suit rubber nipples were awesome

Ron Paul is the great uniter, the income tax fighter...the military-supported, defender of the border...the political apathy solution and the champion of the Constitution! Doctor Paul is on-call!

They gain your trust with some truth, then they screw you with that trust.

It is easy to make these connections

Humans are pattern-driven. We see what we are looking for; however, that doesn't mean some conspiracies are not true...especially when it comes to movies.

As to this cell phone thing in Batman, this type of sci-fi hacking theory has been used, in one way or another, in other movies. Professor X used Cerebro to scan the minds of others around the world...like Morgan Freeman, Prof X is benevolent and only does this reluctantly. It's part of the lack of understanding (thus fear) of technology thing. And anything that evokes emotion, such as fear, is used in many movies. In fact, many horror movies evolve around fear of technology: The Ring, Shutter, Grudge...all used technology as a vehicle for evil.

And this fear of technology is nothing new:

Terminator

2001: the evil computer Hal

Frankenstein movies exploited the fear of electricity when electricity was fairly new.

Jekyl/Hyde used fear of chemistry when chemistry was being introduced to the mainstream.

And the gazillion movies based on the fear of alien technology.

Heck, even Iron Man had some anti-technology messages...further, Iron Man...like Batman and the government conspiracy...uses technology in a vigilante way. And we applaud Iron Man for doing so.

They gain your trust with some truth, then they screw you with that trust.

YUP

went to the midnight showing also.....it was the creepiest part of the movie.

Kind of Goes Along with the New Comic Book

being pushed in the school system:
According to a January 3 article posted on www.worldnet daily.com , "...Tens of thousands of children in public schools across America soon could be getting a free comic book, one that extols the virtues of the United Nations and its agenda through the words of a kids' hero, Spider-Man..."

I haven't seen it but the way you describe it makes the parallel obvious, and it plainly seems intentional. Not surprising, for a major Hollywood film. I go to indies mostly.
