I just received this letter from Trevor from Restore the Republic, seems he does not comprehend what was said in the news letter. Many of you also misunderstood the message.. I am not sueing Ron ! I asked for your imput on the idea which is being presented by some attorneys and wanted me to be the one to actually file. I am not a person to sue anyone or many would have already been to court with some of the slander they have put in public print so this action was not something that I wanted to jump into.. I have no way of knowing how many people would be for this action and asked. I received over 4000 replies and it was split about 50/50 and with my own feelings of it being a waste of time it has been put on the shelf forever. Anyone wanting to sue should certainly have that right but it is not something I want to waste precious time doing.

Wake-up to those who
are thinking of suing Ron Paul for SUSPENDING his campaign, this is ridiculous.
Ron Paul is still campaigning but he opened the Campaign for Liberty to be able to make those who maxed out during the primaries to be able to continue to donate to his campaign for the Republican Presidential nomination of which I honestly believe he still has a 100% chance of winning.
He is not about to leave us all out to dry, he is just revamping the engines and ready to make a GREAT push to beat McCain and then take the White House.

I want to apologize for my rant on this subject yesterday. I let my emotion and disbelief get the better of me.
A better point of view might be this. In threatening to sue Ron Paul, what you are doing is to summon the power of the state, in it's Judicial guise, to compel Ron Paul by the force of arms, to take an action that he does not choose to take. Is this not exactly the behavior that we are all fighting to end in this country? Your right to "compel" a free person ends with them exercising their right to refuse. Think about it.

Ron Paul did not "quit" he "suspended" his campaign! I know that he has fought for us for 35 years and I respect his political insight and judgement, integrity and principles. He is a very intelligent man you know and though you may not understand his reasoning does not mean it is not sound! I think he deserves the utmost respect! It is clear that he did not quit his supporters at all and he most certainly never will quit on getting the message out. He still wants us to fight all the way to the convention and beyond with him! What does "presidential campaign has come to an end" mean?

Either RP says what he means or he doesn't.
How many times, now, have the forums had hundreds of posts "parsing" what RP "really meant"?
And those statements were in prepared speeches, not "foot-in-mouth" syndrome.
When you state that RP didn't "quit on his supporters", which supporters do you mean?
The ones who supported RP and donated millions for him to stay in the Presidential race until the RNC, as RP repeatedly promised, or those who supported the long-term strategies for ground-up changes in the GOP party?
RP *did* quit the Presidential race, particularly when there were articles about transferring the unused $4+ million in Presidential donations to the CFL.
To my knowledge, RP never used the word "suspend" as Romney did. In fact, I don't believe that he even mentioned "end the campaign" in his Texas speech.
That statement was on the RP2008 website and in some e-mails, but not to the same e-mail list of those who donated (I know, because instead of duplicate e-mails, I received no notice of the campaign ending from HQ, whatsoever).
Please rethink the tone of *your* statements, as well, particularly since you added on to the "disgusting and childish", "Jerry Springer" thread yourself-

RP stated in interview after interview that he would stay in until the RNC. Instead, this man of integrity simply broke his word to his supporters and dropped out "after the primaries were done".
What happened to the delegate elections after he ended his campaign, in the subsequent *state* GOP conventions? Weren't we constantly taught that the primaries didn't matter, the state conventions/national delegate elections did? Did RP know that?
RP couldn't even wait until after the two major July grass roots events were done to make his "ending" announcement, one of which RP personally requested that someone other than HQ would organize.
What did the timing of the news about the dual convention do to the attendance at the two July events?
The day before the DC March, the RonPaul2008.com site was simply forwarded to the Congressional site. That means that all RP2008 links found in Google searches *fail*, just when people might actually "Google Ron Paul" due to the March.
Look at what RP's breaking his word did to the grass roots efforts.

One of his avid supporters who had given a lot of time and money to the campaign filed a lawsuit against him. A Breech of Contract was filed against him with a civil class action suit. Many people joined the suit and Ross realized he was either going to have to go to court and fight or just back down and finish out his campaign like he had promised his suporters he would do. He chose to continue the campaign and of course he lost but he did stick it out to the finish which is basicly what we all want Ron Paul to do.
Ron Paul made the statement to many people that no matter what he would stay in the campaign at least until the convention. He broke that promise when he quit.
Now we need your imput. Should we force his hand or just sit back and wring our hands trying to figure out how to get him nominated without his assistance?
With Kent Snyder gone, there may be a different attitude. We all know all the retoric about what a great patriot Snyder was is totally false. He is the reason for the campaign failure whether by design or simply by lack of morality, commitment or inexperience. It was Snyders job and a well paid job to the tune of $48,000.00 per month to get Ron elected and run his campaign in a legitimate manner. He Failed totally in his job. Just because he died is not a reason to make him a national hero at this point when it was his job to see that the grassroots people were cared for and taken care of. He did not do this. We were constantly and rudely ignored, no material was supplied, the donations were squandered and Ron dropped in the polls.
Now without his influence perhaps Ron will hire someone with experience as he was begged to do so often and actually get going on the path to victory.
I know that with the candidates that are being offered there are millions of people that would swing to the only candidate who offers some sane and solid solutions and will talk about the problems without a lot of false promises.
I realize the Grannys will be the brunt of the attacks but that is nothing new. I am not afraid of talk or being attacked by so called supporters. As long as I have the support of the true patriots I have no problem.
I need you all to let me know what your thoughts are on this matter. Your opinion means a lot to me and I will go by the majority votes...
On a happier note. The Sturgis Event turned out to be the greatest failure of any event ever done. While not many people showed up ( about 300) all of the speakers arrived, the cream of the crop of activists, and all had the time to get to know one another one on one like they have never been able to do before. The debates went on for hours, ideas exchanged, future meetings formed and plans made. This was one of the best things that could have happened to the revolution. I am totally happy with the outcome.
As soon as I get home I will post some of the photos of the event. We all had a wonderful time while learning and meeting everyone we had talked to via internet and phone but never in person.

My question: How is this legitimate request for feedback about an option THAT WORKED IN THE PAST so horrible?
Yet, "stealth delegate" plans for a "coup" or a "revolt" at the RNC have been widely supported, with minimal consideration for the blowback of *those* actions?
Many of the posters in this thread should publicly apologize for failing to get the *evidence*, and just relying on gossip.

Ross Perot did nothing helpful I totally disagree on that and I liked him as well as Ron Paul. I voted for Perot. He tried to WAKE PEOPLE UP as to shipping all our jobs out of the country "that great sucking sound will be American jobs" . People made fun of his charts, his charts were right. Everything he said came true. This country is facing a melt down Dr. Paul himself has told us that over and over. I can't imagine someone not seeing INSTANTLY that suing Ron Paul is an idiotic and offensive idea. The man is a hero. Who could think for even a second that suing him might be a good idea? There are a couple of thousand people who did think it was a good idea. It worked with Ross Perot and they felt it would work again. You can be appalled all you want but I was curious and asked for imput. I am a curious person always asking questions, that is how I find out the answers.

Curious? About filing a lawsuit against Ron Paul? Asking questions is great, but you need to have a filter so you can tell which questions are bizarre and repulsive before you ask them. Your filter was not working on this one.
I'll bet you can't find 10 TRUE Ron Paul supporters that support the idea of suing him unless they are out of their minds. A couple thousand? I simply don't believe that to be true.
The fight for liberty was never confined to the Ron Paul campaign. Why can't people get that and move on?
There is PLENTY of work to do moving forward. Anyone who thinks that suing Ron Paul is going to fix their broken heart needs to grow up.
People keep saying
that the fight for liberty was never confined to the Ron Paul campaign but I disagree. He was CENTRAL to the campaign because he was the ONLY one anyone could TRUST. Dr. Paul's RECORD was the ONLY reason it got this far. Suing Ron Paul would not have been about a broken heart it would be about living up to an agreement to see this to the end. If he was threatened say so, Ross Perot did, if he couldn't talk about it so be it. Don't be grudge people for being pissed. Many of us have NEVER been in a campaign before so now we know. I am thankful for for all that I have learned
from Dr. Paul and all at the Daily Paul. But I ask who do you trust? I watched what happened in Argentina. People voted for candidates they thought were honest and they turned on them. When things go down is it everyone for themselves or do we stand as one? How do we stand as one?
We better start thinking what next, if there is no Ron Paul. I don't have answers I am looking for in put. Peace Patriot

Last week I asked you for your imput on whether or not to initiate a class action law suit against Ron for Breech of Promise. It has been talked about for a while and some thought I may be the one to start it. I asked for your advice and boy did I get it. Oddly out of 5,421 replies I got it was divided about equally. while some went beserk and started posting "Granny is going to sue Ron" most of you simply read the message and understood I simply wanted your imput to help make the decision. The most telling reply was "Forcing one to do something against their will would be wrong" that is so true. Why would we want to force someone to do a job they didn't want to do? I certainly wouldn't do my best if people forced me into something I had stepped back from.. So......I think the law suit will be left to others who are working on that and we will go on doing what we always have done.. try to wake up people.
I do want all of you subscribers to know the trash that has been put online about the Grannys is totally wrong, why anyone would want to try to absolutely destroy anyone else they don't even know is beyond me. I wonder sometimes what in the world have I done to these people? Why do they hate so much? Is this the mentality of most people today? I pray not and hopefully you all will see what is happening and use common sense in determining any truth in any of the attacks. The Granny Warriors have not scammed anyone, we have not stolen anything, we have worked very hard at bringing information to people and will continue to do so as long as we are able. A small group of people have made it their goal to totally banish the Grannys from the roads but one thing they did not realize, I am a stubborn and willful woman, I don't run that easily. I don't scare that easily. And liars are always found out in the end. The Slander only makes me stronger as it does my supporters. The people who stick by us while we are being attacked can be counted on to take back this country. We will prevail. We will be standing tall and proud when these slugs are found out and crawl back into their little holes of deceit and deception.

I am so glad to have been a part of the Sturgis Gathering, it was the most enlightening meeting I have ever attended. Everyone got to know each other as we have not been able to do before now. There is never enough time it seems to really get into detailed conversations but in Sturgis there was that time and everyone made the best of it. Plans were formed, partnerships were formed and everyone benefited.
The most fun part was when we first got into SD. I got a call from our old friend and driver Jay Zeitlow, wanting to know where we were, as it happens we were only about 40 miles apart and we made arangements to meet. It was wonderful seeing our old friend again, Jay is the DVD man.. He must have burned and handed out thousands of dvd's in these past 2 years at every truck stop, restaurant and business he came across. Jay is always happy which is a wonderful thing to be around.

I understand Granny's
frustration when she wrote that letter. Think back. The Dr. Paul was still going full steam ahead when the Grannies planned the Rally. Planning a huge rally like that is no easy task. Try it sometime. After trying to get funds to make it happen and getting people committed to it. BOOM! Dr. Paul suspends his campaign. No one expected it. I had the impression he was going to go till September. WHAT A LET DOWN!!!! Now what? I am sure they had to brainstorm what to do and how to carry on. Try to carry on when the person you support backs down. How do the delegates feel going to the gop convention that their candidate won't even get to speak. THESE ARE CRAZY TIMES! Nothing is normal.
All I heard when Ken was alive was "What's wrong with that guy." Even when he was alive the things he did were REALLY questionable. I never met him and he may have been Moses but he left people with mixed feelings about him. He dies and the Grannies are working their tails off with the rally. Going into hock trying to make it a success. Then here they are asking for $400.000 worth of donations. To be honest I am sure I may have used some foul language so the Grannies were tame if you ask me.
I don't know the Grannies but I sure can feel there pain. Anyone who went though what they have or something similar would understand. They had the rally and it didn't turn out as successful as they may have liked. The attendance could have been better. I am sure after the rally she was talking to people trying to brainstorm a way to get Dr. Paul involved again.
Someone probably mentioned "how about sue him like they did Perot".
Granny being curious probably was wondering what people thought and decided to ask. Her letter sounds angry. She is angry. It sounds mean to you. I would be spitting bullets. So what? Get a grip. You don't get angry or disappointed in how things turn out, if not then your not human. Granny, doesn't need us to talk for her she does well enough for herself, but next to Dr. Paul, I trust Granny.
