Republican presidential hopeful Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) said today that he will not rule out the possibility he may run as a third-party candidate.
Paul, however, downplayed expectations that he will run on a potential third-party libertarian ticket, saying “I have no intention of doing that.”
When asked if he would promise to run, Paul demurred, saying, “I deserve one wiggle now and then” and that he was “99.9 percent” sure he would run.
Paul — who has set a torrid fundraising pace outlined many of the tenets of his presidential campaign, saying he would abolish the IRS, remove U.S. troops from bases around the world and cut off foreign aid to Israel and other Middle Eastern nations.
"I want to end the FED" Paul proudly stated.

that voting is real? Our elected officials at the highest level are performing a controlled demolition on our economy, vote fraud is like tearin the tags off of mattresses. However, getting the good doctor in the debates and into more ear drums would be a positive. In my view, he could get the vast majority of the votes and still lose the election.

There are 2 chances of seeing Ron Paul in the Oval Office
and both are longshots. One, is for the DVDs4Delegates program to succeed. We know that the odds are not too good in favor of the mush minded McCain GOP Machine swerving over to Ron Paul. Too Bad, but that's life in the slug lane. The only other way is for our good Doctor to run as an independent. I don't much think he will, based on his attitude about it, and the lack of time, and most of all, the lack of support in the early primaries. I myself, think the Ron Paul campaign was grossly mismanaged. We had a real racehorse on our hands with Dr. Paul, and his campaign just let him take blow after blow, from the media, and from the GOP. No one challanged anything, except the grassroot supporters. I've often wondered about the real intentions of the campaign staff. When it became obvious that Ron was going to be singled out for exclusion and hushness, he should have latched on to team of "experts" and started naming his intended administration and get them on board early and use their expertise and boldness to combat the GOP and capture prime time news outlets to push his message. He should have named Jesse Ventura his VP choice, and unleashed the popular freedom loving bulldog on the press. The press "loves" to cover Jesse, and he would have lambasted the GOP jerks in full view! Judge Roy Moore as Attorney General. The list could have put Ron Paul #1 on the media map, but instead, his campaign let him take hit after hit, until the media and the GOP got him out of the way. Who knew Kent Snider was so sick? That explains much.

His team was sooo incompetent,that they were rumored to be planted to sabotage all efforts.
It makes me sick to my stomach to realize that by getting JV on board and doing some of the things you mentioned we could have gone a lot farther.
It would have been the ultimate story,and smackdown of the corrupt GOP,to have RP ditch them,and go indy.
He is 72 years old,and he is basically ineffective in this position. He is not going to stop a collapse of the dollar,war with Iran,and institution of Martial Law,where he is.

Have you thought
about what to do with Dr. Paul's friends in congress as well as the Ron Paul candidates. Is he supposed to forget them if he switches to a third party. Also, he he runs 3rd party and does not win, it is the END of the revolution on 5 November as personified by him, whereas if he still continue in the GOP, he has
the possibility to take the party back and attack the Fed etc. If he has to give up his TX 14 seat, how on earth do you think he would be able to attack Bernanke and educate the congressmen/women and senators? He would have NO political power after November then.
6 GOP congressmen voted against the war, and at least Jimmy DUncan is still there and Walter Jones now also. People gave Paul 1 m to contest his primary, is he now supposed to fight again for his seat along with the presidency in November, so that if he does not win the presidency, he can still be on congress as an Independent of TX district 14 or as a LP/CP member?

and with that, how do you clean the congress? By elected good new congressmen and women. Under which party name? You have not answered this? If you think join the LP, there are some problems and remember there are older people who will never vote for another party, the CP or LP, even if the LP or CP is much closer than the GOP to their beliefs. It is the easiest and best to use the GOP basis. If this does not work, then you can think of establishing a new party.

nope, I can think very clear, so clear as to know it is impossible for him to get access to all ballots at this late stage, he should have started in February already in that case, which I am glad he has not. DO you know about the 4,5 state sore loser rule, like in TX, according to which it would be IMPOSSIBLE for Dr. Paul to be on the ballot in those states. Do you really think he has a chance of winning if only in 45 states max? The CP will not be on the ballot in all states, only the LP, hopefully in 49 states.
He should make such decisions only in September depending on the situation IMHO. I do not know if he one could get around the sore loser rule by being on the VP ticket in those states, instead of the presidential ticket.
Wait until 2nd of September

I'm pretty sure he knows how we feel already. I personally feel we are on the verge of global ascension. Mankind has got to evolve to a higher state of conciousness. I feel something major is going to happen to make us evolve and it wont include voting machines. Just my personal belief.
