Get ready for a big back-lash against the Bush administration. It could involve war crimes, election fraud and a dramatic shift in popular opinion. The neo-cons will be scampering to abandon ship.

But, think about this, could
But, think about this, could all this lead to a huge, and unwarranted, backlash against the GOP and Capitalism?
This concerns me. There could be a huge Big Govt power grab after all this and a huge plague of Socialism to sweep the nation--actually it has already started, right?
Think about it, economic crises, GOP corruption, capitalism gone bad, etc. etc. etc.
Don't get me wrong, I hate GWB just as much as the next guy but these things end up creating situations that were never intended. Washington DC has a history of taking things overboard--Sarbanes/Oxley Act, Patriot Act, etc.
We need to be careful... we need to hang all of the scum in DC--Dems and Repubs!
JFK Tried
He didn't make it though. :(
In reply to Jackson being the Last great US President.
OKay
I'll accept both Eisenhower and JFK as good and decent men but not quite deserving of the "great" tagline.

Law School Dean Calls Conference to Plan Bush War Crimes Prosecution
Posted Jun 17, 2008, 06:51 am CDT
By Debra Cassens Weiss
The dean of is planning a September conference to map out war crimes prosecutions, and the targets are President Bush and other administration officials.
The dean, Lawrence Velvel, says in a statement that “plans will be laid and necessary organizational structures set up, to pursue the guilty as long as necessary and, if need be, to the ends of the Earth."
Other possible defendants, he said, include federal judges and John Yoo, the former Justice Department official who wrote one of the so-called torture memos.
“We must insist on appropriate punishments,” he continued, “including, if guilt is found, the hangings visited upon top German and Japanese war criminals in the 1940s."
Velvel elaborates in an introduction to a series of articles published in The Long Term View (PDF). He writes “there is no question” that Bush and other officials are guilty of the federal crime of conspiracy to commit torture.
He also criticizes Justice Department officials for their legal memos. “The DOJ lawyers who wrote the corrupt legal memos giving attempted cover to Bush's actions have been rewarded by federal judgeships, cabinet positions, and high falutin' professorships,” he writes. Yoo is a professor at the University of California-Berkeley law school, while another former Justice Department official who signed a Yoo memo, Jay Bybee, is a judge on the San Francisco-based 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
Velvel tears into President Bush as well, writing:
“The man ultimately responsible for the torture had a unique preparation and persona for the presidency: he is a former drunk, was a serial failure in business who had to repeatedly be bailed out by daddy's friends and wanna-be-friends, was unable to speak articulately despite the finest education(s) that money and influence can buy, has a dislike of reading, so that 100-page memos have to be boiled down to one page for him, is heedless of facts and evidence, and appears not even to know the meaning of truth.”
A Wall Street Journal editorial published today stands in stark contrast to Velvel’s criticism. It assails House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers for issuing subpoenas seeking information about the possible torture of Sept. 11 suspects. The editorial mentions the testimony of British professor Philippe Sands, who also contends U.S. officials are guilty of war crimes.
“Nearly seven years after 9/11, the U.S. homeland hasn't been struck again and American civil liberties remain intact,” the newspaper writes. “So how does Congress say ‘thank you’? By trying to ruin the men who in good faith set the legal rules that have kept us safe.”

Amen!
In God We Trust!
I have been praying for years that this cock a roach would be brought to justice along with his gang of thugs and murderers, and sentenced accordingly. I believe in answered prayer and my hope is in the Lord in this whole matter.
"God is not mocked, for whatsoever a man soweth, that also shall he reap"
Ron Paul is my President!
And then Cheney moves in for the kill?
Consider these words from George Washington, the Father of our Nation, in his farewell speech on September 19, 1796:
"It is impossible to govern the world without God and the Bible. Of all the dispositions and habits that lead to political prosperity..
For those of you who do not know how to "GET READY"

sooo Bush will high tail it to his land in Paraguay where he can't get extradicted? Right?

Uhh....In a bit of irony, couldn't we just invade the country to get him?
Heh heh Irony is always good comedy.
As in... They are harboring Menpawns of Dumbass Dysfunction?
Don't forget the Bush administration's
complicity in the destruction of the financial world as we have known it. Once that truth is revealed, and it will be revealed even to the people who are currently asleep, the Bush-monkeys and banksters will need an army to protect themselves from all of the angry people that will be ruined financially. They have brought this upon themselves through avarice and greed. It's up to all of us to HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE!
Do not blame this on Bush alone
Almost all Administrations and Congresses, lets say over the last four generations, have a role(blame) here. Of course the media may have the biggest role because they have been protecting all the lies, when that is their primary function to uncover these Tyranical monsters.
Let me qualify my comment
by adding that anyone with even a partial clue knows how long this has been going on. But the Bush-monkeys and banksters associated with the current administration are directly responsible for the most recent state of our economic malaise, which includes the impending meltdown of our financial system, the destruction of our currency, the looting of our treasury and making each and every US taxpayer responsible for the damages. They have not tried to right the ship, they have at the very least facilitated the financial destruction of our nation. Do you think I'm being to hard on them?
By the way, don't have any misguided notions about the primary function of the media. They are doing exactly what they are paid to do: keep us distracted while the Bush-monkeys and banksters try to steal every last bit of value from our lives.
Um, I think it goes back further than that...
I cannot think of a more oppressive, unconstitutional body than Federal Reserve. Every president since 1913 is at fault as far as I'm concerned.
Eisenhower deserves some credit
He tried to warn the American citizens in his "Cross of Iron" speech and his "Military Industrial Complex" speech.
Actually...
I'd go so far as to say every President after Andrew Jackson.

I was hoping, praying and looking for
something that would make the GOP BEG Dr. Paul to be the nominee. It may be coming. If they had any brains at all and if they were not totally owned by the elites, they would definitely be begging Dr. Paul to be the nominee. They are either crooked, ignorant or about to wake up and run to Dr. Paul.

Does everyone know about the
Does everyone know about the war crimes act passed in 96? I wasn't also aware of this but it's nice to know it exists and that we can prosecute for these things on our own instead of requiring foreign involvement. As things continue to unfold and progress, I feel more and more optimistic that something will happen. If nothing else, the more noise people make, and I suspect it will keep getting louder, the harder those in power to prosecute can ignore the country.
Did Ron Paul give his warning speech in Congress, yet?
We had a preview of it a week or so ago. If he gave the speech, can someone provide a link?
I looked for the speech on the house.gov/paul maybe you see it?

Bush getting long-deserved comeuppance
A few days ago, I heard about an extraordinary book that has recently been published--and is now available on amazon.com--written by the best-selling lawyer and prosecutor Vincent Bugliosi.
The name of the book is "The Prosecution of George W.Bush for Murder".
Mr. Bugliosi believes, and convincingly argues, that the current neocon moron infesting the Oval Office will become open to indictment for murder when he leaves office, because of the deaths which resulted from his undeclared war in Iraq.
He also claims that Bush is criminally liable for the deaths not only of Americans but those of Iraqis as well, as those deaths were foreseeable and inevitable consequences of the invasion and occupation of Iraq.
Vincent Bugliosi is a former State Prosecutor with a record of 105 successful convictions out of 106 trials! That is better than 99%! He also says that any Federal, State, or even Local Prosecutor can bring murder charges against Bush for deaths within his area of jurisdiction.
He offered his assistance to any Prosecutor willing to take up this challenge!
Bob Barr, the Libertarian Party candidate was also a Federal Prosecutor working for the Justice Department under Reagan. If he reads the book, and agrees to Prosecute then former President Bush for Murder, this is certainly an issue that would end the media blockade and give the Libertarians a better-than-even chance of making Barr the next President in 2008. There would be no way this news--"Libertarian Barr promises to use the office of the Presidency to prosecute predecessor for murders resulting from Iraq war"--could be suppressed or hidden.
There are also enough Americans so disgusted with Bush who would vote for Barr to facilitate his prosecution of that alleged murderer even if they were NOT necessarily libertarian on every issue!! This would have to redound to the political advantage of Ron Paul Republicans (who opposed Bush's actions from the beginning) the Constitution Party, and others!
This book, its author, and its content, separates "the men from the boys".
I hope more people both in and outside the libertarian movement, and the Barr campaign, familiarise themselves with it.
PEACE AND FREEDOM!!
David K. Meller
yeah, Dennis Miller had
