Maliki: I Support Obama’s Withdrawal Timetable

"Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki told a German magazine that he supports Barack Obama’s plan to withdraw U.S. troops from Iraq within 16 months of taking office.

“U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama is right when he talks about 16 months,” al-Maliki told Der Spiegel. He said he wants U.S. troops to leave “as soon as possible.”

It would seem to me that this news is huge. For one thing it means we have a realistic policy to end our military involvement in Iraq. I think this could solidify Obama's victory if McCain gets the nomination.

I am in full support of Obama's withdrawal

from politics.

That is what this thread is about...right?

He's going to go away? Isn't he? Please?

Anytime old media reports

on a story like this, it means there is something hidden in the agenda.

And, Bush agreeing? There is something rotten in Demark!

Why do they NOW want us to know Iraqi wants out out? They've been asking for that for quite awhile.

US Corporatists were trying to tie up the oil before this would happen, and looks like it didn't work.

Is Hussain going to utilize those troops in Iran?

Anyone have any additional insight?
