Revolution march zero media. September Convention everyone reports it. Who finds this funny

Since Im a person who questions everything especially obvious things.
How come not a single media outlet not even the little papers mention Ron Paul's revolution march in DC.
But suddenly everyone altogether mention the rally in September.

This dosent seem random to me and it isnt the first time. It seems very organized. I wonder Who gives the order for bloggers or editors? It just seems funny so this is my funny speculation. Just speculating

I don't find it interesting.

I don't find it interesting. In fact, I posted in this very forum several months before the march that NO media would show up. Anyone here who actually thought that the march on Washington would actually garner ANY media attention needs to go give themselves a big wack in the forehead.

Obviously if you are surprised about the lack of coverage, then you apparently didn't question "everything" prior to the event.

There are numerous 'marches on Washington' each year. Everything from war protesters, tax protesters, abortion rights protesters, womens rights protesters, KKK protesters. These type of marches happen ALL THE TIME and they NEVER garner ANY media attention. So silly you for thinking that some little ol Ron Paul march would be any different.

Now, the rally in MN will be different. The media will already be there and they will be looking for filler material to shoot during the lull points in the convention. ST PAUL IS THE PLACE TO BE!

I find it very interesting

I find it very interesting too. There was absolutely NO pre-March coverage. Or I think a lot more people would have been there. Not sure what it means.

If one is a conspiracy theorist,

and I'm not saying you are, it must be pretty mind-racking trying to reconcile all this conflicting stuff that comes up like this, into the theory.

I don't find this 'funny' at all

The march was too small to cover. If it had 50k, even 25k, maybe it would have been picked up. Small protests and marches happen with regularity. The September rally is a whole different type of event!!!

I think you may be right about the September rallly.

This one is getting media attention. I never saw the March discussed in the news at all prior to it happening. I'm suspicious that the campaign neglected to put out press releases for it. I doubt very much that the wider audience of Paul supporters even knew about it. Knowledge of it seemed to be confined to only the hardcore supporers that spend a lot of time on the internet researching what's going on with Dr. Paul.

Since this one is getting some media attention, it may work out. Let's hope the attention doesn't stop.

Well,

It wasn't that big. The estimates from some Paul supporters I've seen are way overblown. Let's be honest. It wasn't massive, like we hoped for. A few thousand maybe, but 10,000 no way.

But another thing should be checked out is whether press releases about were issued by the campaign. Were they? I didn't see any. That's how reporters find out about things like this.

AH

Calm down. You've seem to have stumbled onto an amazing piece of information. Cherish this moment for you are the gerbil king. Take your amazing ability to formulate thoughts inside your mind then put them to type and run with it. Never use links or trusted information. It just gets in the way.

Excuse me

just trying to get the Troll post off the board... Bump

As I recall...

they promised to be at the DC rally as well. The news flash that reporters are also liars is really nothing new.

I may not know the truth, but I know when I'm being lied to...

They're laying the field

to warn against crazy Ron Paul fanatics. If anything bad happens its our "shadow" convention. The march was positive. They're trying to spin things in a slightly skewed way.

Well, there are

Well, there are protests/demonstrations in D.C. all the time.... the news hardly ever reports on any of them.... occasionally, if there are several hundred thousand/millions of people at an event, they might give a 30 second mention to it on the news.

However, the rally in Minnesota is coming at the same time as the RNC convention and is seen as almost a rebellion/attempt to steal the spotlight. Add that to the fact that McCain sucks, the RNC convention will be boring, and the reality that so many Republicans/Conservatives don't like McCain and you have a very interesting story worth reporting....

It'll be funny because there will be the boring RNC convention with plenty of cricket chirping, and then down the street, there will be an even bigger rally for a different Republican who isn't even the candidate, and everyone will be having a way better time.

Hey NotOverYet! I am not completely gone! Check out the

"now it's time to say goodbye" thread for my explanation.
I do agree with you that it's kind of strange they don't mention anything about the D.C. rally and they're all over the St. Paul one! Maybe there have just been too many marches in Washington for them to care! LOL

Laziness and Timing - and continuing good karma

The March took place (as far as I could see) in a deserted town on the weekend with only a few tourists to observe, what for DC, is just another "protest." It would be like expecting coverage for your company picnic.

It isn't the press' job to make it news. Most won't even go looking for news because it's easier to buy it ready-made.

The rally for the republic event seems like a greater potential for drama. You can bet that as time goes on, there are more press paying attention to what we're doing, but they need an excuse, an event, a moment in time when it qualifies as real news that would interest people.

Frankly, even decades ago when I was registered to vote with a dominant party, I never followed the convention news or very much of politics. (Having realized that ignoring them doesn't work, I now participate with the LP.)

The GOP convention and the Democrat convention are shaping up to be boring. The public already "knows" the outcome. The press will be looking for ways to make it interesting. The contrast between the events should be interesting. (I do hope there are plans to pipe CSPAN into the arena when interesting events occur.)

The March on Washington was a great success, despite the lack of coverage: it proved to Dr. Paul that we are still on board. It gave people a chance to go who may not be able to go to the next event. It re-energized us all and gave the planners a chance to practice. It was a thrill to watch on YouTube.

Dr. Paul has excellent karma. After all, we don't want voters to be sick of him by over exposure! ;)

IMissLiberty

Perhaps

it is because this is actually sponsored by Ron Paul and is the kick off
for Campaign for Liberty - Ron Paul has made the anouncement and
the media pays attention -also since it is a few miles from the GOP
little party ... they are aware that RP supporters are going to take over
Minneapolis (peacefully that is) we will be everywhere - and this is
going to be very hard to go unnoticed...
Hint to media - if you want good stuff and a lot of fun and get educated
at the same time - come to our convention at the Target....
The other one is going to be sleepy.

shakes head

In your weak opinion you just said that Ron Paul did not sponsor the July 12th march. Where have you been?
