BANK Rating SITE....URGENT!!! Must see! UPDATE!!!!!
Submitted by takeaction on Wed, 07/23/2008 - 00:03
Okay I was playing with this site...and WOW...there are some banks that are in serious trouble. This site is very simple to use. I looked at WACHOVIA Bank...and it is rated the worst, Like doomsday!!! This means it is in deep sh*t. My Bank was rated STRONG, the Best!!
Before I give you the site, you must understand that the scale is between 1 and 5.....
1 IS THE BEST and 5 IS THE WORST!!! If your bank is not rated either a 1 or 2, you had better do some thinking.

UPDATE If you really are concerned like I am...then follow this link. Spend the $25 and find out the truth. NO GAMES!!

My families bank is in good
My families bank is in good shape. Four stars and a rating of 2. It's the oldest bank in the city has been around since 1921, it survived the Great Depression and has since been known as one of the safest banks in California. The only thing is that it's real old-fashioned still. Like they don't really do lots of online features like modern banks, you have to call them up or show up in person to do anything.
Everyone should be taking
Everyone should be taking every bit of fiat they have and getting a Berkey water filter, food, and gas masks. Forget what shapes the banks are in.
Excellent resource!!! Thank You!

Bankrate.com evaluates the financial condition of institutions and assigns a 1-to-5 rating with five stars representing the highest rating. Institutions with satisfactory performance will generally receive a rating of three or better stars with the majority of banks falling into the three- to four-star range.
HELLLO
They are messing with you....I see the error.... The truth is this...
From Site...same paragraph...
"The most desirable Safe & Sound CAEL rating is one; the least desirable is five, in accordance with industry standards"
One of my small banks was a 1 and the other a 2....when I checked Wachovia Texas it was a 5......so you can see what one is correct.
5 is BAD!!!!!
Hmmm
Our credit union where we have our very limited savings is a 4, and our bank that we have our mortgage through is a 2. My old local bank from a long time ago is a 1, so it looks like a move back their way coming soon!
SMART
MOVE
another note...
I did not spend anytime really reading the site very much, but my bank of america locations are not on here.. hmmm. What does that mean?
I would just
pick any B of A....they are all Nationally owned I think. In my opinion...I would get the hell out of B of A and move to a local credit union. Small one.
YAY!!!!
My bank stability rating just fell out of the yellow "elevated" banner!! Oh wait could this just be another tool to be used by.. um ... tools. I am not saying this site is fake, just that the ability to rank something as important as my ability to eat food next week on a scale of 1-5 does not bode well for imperical probability(IMHO: I use cash).
Just be careful and use this "for entertainment purposes only" Bear Stearns said they were "A-OK" up until the Death Mass began its first beat.
good post take..... this
good post take..... this problem in banking is just beginning..

whew
both mine are 2. one is a very private bank and some of the data used was not available for it so i feel good.
now, imagine that if everyone of the RP supporters that had a bank rating of 3 or higher changed banks?
we could literally force a market change I believe. 500,000 folks changing banks!
anyway, thanks for the link.
peace
Wachovia looked OK to me
We're talking the Wachovia based in Delaware, right? It got a ranking of 2, with 1 being best and 5 worst.
I did
WACHOVIA FSB Texas Rated a 5 (Doomsday)
I ddn't know which one to pick for nationwide!
My bank is in three catagories ...
two of which are not good. One is.
Can you explain this?

???
I found my local credit union which was a "1" (the best). I don't know what to say.
Again...I was playing with this site and found a lot of 4's and 5's which are VERY BAD...
Just trying to help.
Aren't credit unions
supposed to be a lot safer than the big banks? Aren't they owned by the customers & not the fed reserve?

I found
my credit union on this site...and it was rated a "1" which is the best. Made me feel a little better!
