Our delegates are "infiltrators"!?!?

While I appreciate the increased coverage of Ron Paul and our Campaign for Liberty by the mainstream media (some of it even somewhat favorable) they just can't help adding those little jabs and innuendos that damage our image.

For example, this ABC News article ends with this:

"Supporters have been encouraged to exploit state delegate rules to get appointed to, infiltrate and make themselves known at the national convention before decamping for the Target Center."

Here was my comment on that:

"As the husband of a Ron Paul supporter who was ELECTED as an alternate delegate to the Republican National Convention, I take great personal offense at your mealy-mouthed implication that "Ron Paul" Republican delegates are somehow sneaking in the back door.

My wife did not "infiltrate" our state delegation. She did not "exploit state delegate rules" and she certainly wasn't "appointed" to anything. She EARNED her delegate seat in the best tradition of American politics.

She campaigned to become a national delegate vigorously and honestly. She mailed hundreds of campaign pamphlets that we had designed on our home computer. She is an active member of two county Republican women's organizations, has made speeches at two district GOP conventions, made hundreds of phone calls, shook hundreds of hands,and had countless conversations with other state delegates and GOP leaders.

Never has she said or done anything but tell the truth about herself and her political convictions. (How many of our elected officials from either party can say the same?)

And yet you have the gaul to stereotype and carelessly smear every Ron Paul supporter by stating that we
"have been encouraged to exploit state delegate rules to get appointed to, infiltrate and make [ourselves] known at the national convention before decamping for the Target Center" by SOMEONE that you do not even bother to identify!?!

That is sloppy journalism at best and shameless political bigotry at worst.

You owe my wife and every other honest Ron Paul supporter a retraction and an apology."
