Russian Bomber Crews Land in Cuba

July 24 (Bloomberg) -- Russian crews landed in Cuba to
prepare for stationing nuclear bombers there in defiance of a
U.S. warning not to cross a ``red line,'' Izvestia reported,
citing unidentified Russian Defense Ministry officials.
Crews of a supersonic Tu-160, a nuclear bomber known as
``White Swan,'' and Tu-95, which the North Atlantic Treaty
Organization dubs ``Bear,'' were on the island nation doing
reconnaissance work and inspecting infrastructure, the Moscow-
based newspaper said. Bombers can be deployed to bases in Cuba,
Venezuela or Algeria at any time, Izvestia said.
General Norton Schwartz, nominated to be U.S. Air Force
chief of staff, warned Russia two days ago not to station bombers in Cuba in response to America's decision to build a missile-
defense system in former Soviet satellite states in Europe.
Russia said on July 8 that it would react with military
means to the U.S. system. Russian leaders have threatened to aim nuclear missiles at the planned bases in the Czech Republic and Poland, which they say would threaten Russia's security.

Well, unfortunatly some people are willing to vote for Obama because he is good looking or for McSame because he is a war "HERO" (I herad some people calling in the radio, z100 show, while driving to work and this was there explanation why they would vote for those guys) WE ARE IN DEEP TROUBLE!

Lived through it too...
I was born and raised in south Florida through the Missile Crisis..we all did our "duck and cover" drills in school. Was very scarry.
I did read last week that Chavez was aligning with Russia in an effort to snub the US. My hat is off to him for being so brave against the neighborhood bully. I can't blame the Russians either...how would we feel if a 3rd nation made a deal with Canada to put in missile sites along our northern boarder? I need to do more, personally, to get RP in the White House and put all this nonsense to bed before we all kill each other.

How can you blame them
Russia is a corrupt democracy gone rogue but on the other hand, we're escalating the situation. We could blow their military out of the skies, we have no need for a missile defense system in their former satellites. The former satellites have a right to defend their borders but Russia also has a right to get nervous when we start showing up on their doorstep.

The U.S. government has became the terrorist to sovereign nations of the world.

that they were in alliance with Iran?
Other nations are going to band together to stop the empire building of the U.S.
The only ones protected now are our legislators as they have their underground facilities ready and waiting.
