Excellent video with MLK, Ron Paul, Reagan, Goldwater, Kennedy, Barr etc WATCH IT

Not sure if you can look it up in the archives on here, but there was a post written by a Ron Paul staffer explaining this and how it came about, and how Ron Paul and Ron Paul's staff had Bob Barr as their guy on the inside who was relaying everything back to Dr. Paul and his staff or something to that affect.

There was the first vote in the House of Representatives - Barr and Paul voted no to the Patriot Act, but it passed anyway. Then the Senate passed the Patriot Act. From there it went to a compromise committee with members from both the Senate and the House to settle the differences between the two bills.

Bob Barr was invited to be on the House/Senate Compromise Committee in exchange for promising to vote for the Compromise version. Ron Paul was NOT invited.

During the meeting Barr was able to institute Sunset Provisions and change wording to make the act weaker.

Remember the bill already passed both the House and Senate, so YES he voted in the Compromise Committee but it already passed, it was made weaker practically single handed by Barr. He did the right thing, and is not even close to being a traitor. Even Ron Paul's own staff encouraged Barr to do this.

I have answered this about fifteen times so I am going to abridge my answer due to my lack of concern. He has changed his views after recognizing the error of his ways. We converted the man to our side, and now that he is on our side speaking on behalf of our core values we treat him as a complete fool for changing his views and criticize him in the harshest of terms possible. So every convert we make we are to ridicule them for their past grievances in the most open and unaccepting terms? Isn't that a tad bit counterproductive? In the spirit if Chuck Baldwin "He who is without sin cast the first stone."

This is the only man voicing our concerns in the national media. Baldwin sure is not making any appearances, and I don't see him doing so in the future. What I think you fail to get is that you' are only be hearing Barr's name for another 3 months, and after the election is over he may be just another name. Why not give the man a chance for the next three months and help this man spread our message through the media and more importantly in the debates. SPREADING THE MESSAGE IS OUR CURRENT MISSION IN THE REVOLUTION, AND SINCE HE IS PREACHING OUR PRIMARY VALUES, WHY ARE WE TRYING TO DENY THE MAN THE OPPORTUNITY? WHAT GOOD DOES THAT POSSIBLEY SERVE?

I see Barr as continuing on the path of America's enlightenment that Paul started, and if Barr was in a 3 way debate that is 1 hour and 30 minutes long, he will get approx. 30 minutes of PRIME TIME COVERAGE! How much better can things get?! The answer is not much...Good work spreading the good word like you have been, and I hope you get to manage a seat at the Rally because its going to be sold out after an hour haha so get the tickets early! I wonder how the ticket bomb is going to go tomorrow...time will tell.

Dr. Paul didn't really blast off until that debate when he got into an argument with Giuliani.

If Barr could get in a debate, he might be able to trigger some major support. From what I can tell, he would be a better debater than Paul. Great speaking skills. I think he could crush both Obama and McCain on a debate stage.
