Looks like Chrysler is in a lot of trouble. By Rhino

Earlier today, they stopped all leases. Now dealerships do not have access to the finance window at Chrysler.

UPDATE: CNBC is now somewhat backing away from the claim that the dealerships do not have access to the financing window.

The ball is starting to pick up speed.

There is still time.

Be patient, pray, and meditate.

And by all means, take precautions.

WAHOR!!

That's really big news. I work for GMAC Automotive Financing, for another week at least. The article says its due to falling resale values. They don't mention that Chrysler Financial and Ford Motor Credit have been very lenient on purchasing lease contracts in order to help sell more vehicles. Fortunately GMAC started tightening up auto lending standards over a year ago, it's just the mortgage company that wasn't smart enough to do that : )
