Karl Rove in Contempt of the House Judiciary Committee
The House Judiciary Committee has just voted to hold Karl Rove in contempt for his failure to respond to a subpoena to the committee.
WASHINGTON (AP) — A House panel Wednesday voted to cite former top White House aide Karl Rove for contempt of Congress for defying a subpoena to answer questions about the dismissals of several federal prosecutors as its Senate counterpart explored punishments for an array of alleged Bush administration misdeeds.
Voting 20-14 along party lines, the House Judiciary Committee said that Rove had broke the law by failing to appear at a July 10 hearing on allegations of White House influence over the Justice Department, including whether Rove encouraged prosecutions against Democrats such as former Alabama Gov. Don Siegelman.
The committee decision is only a recommendation, and it was unclear whether Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., would allow a final vote. Rove has denied any involvement with Justice decisions, and the White House has said Congress has no authority to compel testimony from current and former advisers.

We have got to bury that b_tch...
The people voted in the mid-term elections for a change of course and Pelosi has guided the Democrats to endorse whatever the Neocons want.
What gives? Do the Neocons got pictures of Pelosi doing something wrong?
This is totally reprehensible.
What is it gonna take for the people to wake up.
Any chance we get to discredit, pressure, or fight Pelosi, we should do it.
We will not make any distinctions between the Bush terrorists or those that protect them. We will hunt them down, we will smoke them out of their holes, We will leave no stone un-turned.
What say you all.
It's sickening how all the
It's sickening how all the Republicans voted on party line.

Thank you for this post
It's important that we know names of the people. How dare they vote this way?
Pawnstorm
Corruption is starting to be exposed everywhere
let's clean house from top to bottom.
Considering that Rove
has shown a propensity to leave the country when anything like this crops up, I think he should be arrested and held without bond as a "flight risk", until his trial.
Couldn't help but notice you
Couldn't help but notice you said "he should be arrested". I agree.
And we both know it won't happen...

The 14 Traitors to Democracy
The 14 Traitors to Democracy who believe Karl Rove and the President are above the law and voted nay:
Lamar S. Smith, Ranking Member, Texas
Jim Sensenbrenner, Wisconsin
Howard Coble, North Carolina
Elton Gallegly, California
Bob Goodlatte, Virginia
Steve Chabot, Ohio
Dan Lungren, California
Chris Cannon, Utah
Ric Keller, Florida
Darrell Issa, California
Mike Pence, Indiana
Randy Forbes, Virginia
Steve King, Iowa
Tom Feeney, Florida
Trent Franks, Arizona
Louie Gohmert, Texas
Jim Jordan, Ohio
If you ever watched a hearing on cspan you will see how fake the likes of Lamar Smith, Steve King and Trent Franks are.
Of course, my good ol'
Of course, my good ol' Representative, Bob Goodlatte is on the list. He actually does have a Democrat running against him this year, but he's no better, and he has no chance of beating the rich incumbent. Goodlatte also voted for the Patriot Act and Military Commisions Act. What a great Representative he is! Of course, 75% of the people in our area vote Republican no matter what, so it really doesn't matter much.
Another songbird
This is the domino that will knock down all the rest........ I say this because, Rove doesn't look like he's built for jail..LOL
Of course nothing will
Of course nothing will happen to him, House Democrats won't support impeachment hearings so i have no faith that they will enforce a subpoena!
How do you know that?

I am only guessing based
I am only guessing based there current track record! I did read an article today stating that the committee had no intensions of holding hearings!
The only pertinent question
The only pertinent question being "Will they enforce it and send him to jail in handcuffs?"
My Magic Eight Ball responds "My sources say No."
