how folks are so interested in keeping marijuana illegal because it they believe it causes harm to others, while ignoring the little old lady who lives around the corner whose liver is being destroyed because she was prescribed, who the heck knows what, that is creating havoc on her liver or other organs!
Why is it addicts make our heart break more?? How about the unfortunate people who are dying by the thousands. I read something once that stated that almost 75,000 people annually are permanently damaged by their medication and often die from it as opposed to the one quarter of that number who actually die from drug overdoses, excluding marijuana! (So far as I know, you can't die from using it.)
How about people who use over-the-counter pain meds that also turns your liver into mush? Just because their doctors sanction the taking of those drugs is it okay that they can suffer the ill effects of a legal drug and no one cares about them because it's legal? Or, how about how much it costs the tax payers to convict someone in court and then house them and feed them for as long as they are sentenced and give them free medical attention while they're jailed!
The arrest of people who take drugs only benefit the people who house them! It's extremely profitable and consider this as well: prisoners are used by private corps that pay them $2.00 an hour to make goods that put honest, hard-working Americans out of business because they can't compete w/the cheap labor! It's time to reconsider, folks.
If it is legalized, then the government and business control it and tax the heck out of it. If it is decriminalized, no one controls it, there is no law about it one way or the other. No getting permission from the government to do something you enjoy, or to use in a medicinal fashion. We don't need a government to treat us like children.
thanks but i must have missed it.
now the poll says....
If you had the chance, would you want to go to the Olympics in Beijing?

cause accidents because they're stoned? Alcohol has killed MILLIONS, but that is legal! I have NEVER heard of even ONE traffic fatality linked to pot use alone, has anyone else?
I think that God put that plant on this planet for a reason, other than all the benefits of hemp, it has so MANY uses!
Where does our govt. get the idea that they should control what we put in our bodies, they don't OWN our bodies and it should be up to the individual, not govt.!
I don't smoke it either, but I think it has many medicinal uses and I believe people should be FREE to make their own choices!
are the BIGGEST DRUG traffickers of ALL time! I watched that google video by Michael Ruppert last night and he explained A LOT. Thanks for posting that thread! I would HIGHLY recommend for anyone who hasn't seen it yet to check it out.
Google "The Truth & Lies of 9/11, but it's about MUCH MORE than just 9/11;
The CIA imports all kinds of drugs to finance Wall Street and our economy.
In the state of Florida, prescription drug overdoses killed three times as many people as all illicit drug use COMBINED. Nationwide, in the 45 - 54 year old category, prescription drug overdoses became the #1 cause of accidental deaths. It replaced automobile accidents as the top accidental killer of that age group.
Prescription drugs are now more highly sought after than Marijuana ever has been. This is the price we have paid for the lunatic ravings of the DEA and other idiot agencies.
This is just like when Reagan went after marijuana during his tenure and cocaine use exploded. The invention and use of crack cocaine started then.
Don't like it, don't use it, don't want it, but I have no right to force that upon others so voted in favor of legalizing. I do know people with a legitimate need of it for pain and it's a darn sight less damaging than morphine or other manufactured drugs. Let's face it, the real reason it's illegal is that right people are not making big bucks off it.
but I gave it a yes. It is not even near as bad for you as beer. In fact it holds possible cures to many illnesses. How bad can it be if it grows out of the Earth. I believe anything that grows out of the Earth has possible beneficial uses.
No. The FDA should be outlawed.
Forget what their arbitrary laws say.
As a free individual I have the right to ingest anything I desire, as long as my doing so does not violate the objectively defined rights of another.
It's amazing...

We've got to stop drinking the punch!
Should marijuana be legalized?
Absolutely NOT!!!
Decriminalize!
Pot should be decriminalized.

Sharp point!
I'll take the grey-zone of decriminalization...

WOW!
The poll is in the middle of their home page on the far right. Out of over 52,000 votes, 65% say "yes" legalize it!
What about legalizing MDMA, LSD, psylocibin...
etc...but, all those damn cultural conservatives are deathly afraid of any drug that has been made illegal by the State....
