There are 44-55 million gun owners in the United States, and we have as of June 30, 2008 - 1,427,546 active military personnel, and 1,458,000 reserve.
If you can think of any other reason why the United States is still considered a "free" country, I'd like to hear it.

Thanks for posting this. The second amendment definitely wasn't to protect hunter's rights, it was to protect our right to defend ourselves.

In Britain, we have perhaps the most draconian anti-weapon laws in the world. Needless to say, the criminals are very powerful in our inner cities.

I thought second amendment rights were put into place so minutemen could take up arms and subdue the government if it got out of line. Don't get me wrong, I'm all in favor of people protecting themselves against common thugs, but I still think the greatest threats come from within our own government, which is why it must be kept small and accountable to the will of the people.

This woman's right to defend herself, her family, and the innocent bystanders around her was stupidly denied by the gun grabbers. To hell with them.
