I have been watching the second season on dvd and I do have to say it presents a very grim, real possibility. Does anyone else foresee this happening to some extent or another in the future?
Jericho was a good show
You know what's weird? The first episode of the spin off "the lone gunmen" from the x-files (about conspiracy theorists) had planes crashing into the world trade towers. The episode aired six months before 9/11.
One of the actors (haglund) said the plot was given to the producers by the CIA.
Another Chris Carter creation-the "harsh realm" series was about military men living a virtual world and being mind controlled (alot like the MK-ultra experiments).
Jericho had a positive (I think) aspect to the apocalypse where individuals started banding together and fighting for their freedom against all odds. Another show-the Senator, with Josh Brolin was about a Senator who started doing all the right things and was cancelled very quickly.
A funny story about Jericho is the viewers of the show liked it so much that after it was cancelled after one season they banded together and sent the producer literally tons of nuts in protest because the last line in the series is "nuts". They got one more season of Jericho.

I was describing the show to some friends at a party last night when someone walked in the middle of me saying that 23 nuclear bombs were detonated in 23 major US cities. He totally thought I was describing something real, so yeah, I guess it's not far from reality.
Good show BTW, the acting is a little soft but the premise, direction, and writing are all excellent. The inside job aspect made it too controversial for network TV despite the show's heavy fan-base. So hopefully Sci-Fi or some cable channel will pick it up. The way they left it is ripe with incredible story possibilities.

I have noticed the 911 inside job discussions, but not much on martial law and what have you....yes, my question is genuine...I think the show just shocked me...It is strange that CBS would put a show like that on their station.
