What is your favorite Ron Paul Quote?

One of my favorites by the great man -

It is said we go about the world waging war to promote peace, and yet the price paid is rarely weighed against the failed efforts to make the world a better place. Justifying conscription to promote the cause of liberty is one of the most bizarre notions ever conceived by man! Forced servitude, with the risk of death and serious injury as a price to live free, makes no sense. What right does anyone have to sacrifice the lives of others for some cause of questionable value? Even if well motivated it can’t justify using force on uninterested persons.

It’s said that the 18 year old owes it to his country. Hogwash! It just as easily could be argued that a 50 year-old chickenhawk, who promotes war and places the danger on innocent young people, owes a heck of a lot more to the country than the 18 year-old being denied his liberty for a cause that has no justification.

I still love his response to spending billions to prop up dictator Musharraf in Pakistan:

“No more money pal. We’ve given you 10 billion and you’re flunking the course.”

Nodding no.

Dr. Paul's head nod during McCain's "let us win" crap in one of the debates was priceless.

None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe that they are free. -Goethe

I WISH HE WOULD REPEAT THIS OVER AND OVER!

"We're being overtaxed, overregulated, and overrun by Bureaucrats! The Founders would be ashamed of us for what we're putting up with!"

WAKE UP, AMERICA!

Ron Paul for President

Another good one. Ron Paul refering to the highest office in the world's most powerful nation;

"I want to be president mainly for what I don't want to do: I don't want to run your life, I don't want to run the economy, and I don't want to police the world." - Ron Paul

Agree, great quote!

Agree, great quote!

Actually looking back

there were so many great quotes, but one of my favorite moments were in the debates when Ron Paul put McCain in the hot seat asking him about the Presidents Working Group and gave him that cat that ate the canary side long shaking his head grin. Maybe someone can link it. I laughed and laughed at that golden moment. It was my favorite because he conveyed so much in such a short moment on MSM. Basically, without saying hardly anything ----you are a total phoney and you have just proven it to the world.

HERE IS MY FAVORITE RON PAUL QUOTE

I noticed the 9/11 comments...

Ill probably get in trouble here.. but I have to vent what is bothering me.

If DC is one of the most protected places on EARTH.. Why is there no video of a jet entering the airspace without permission? Doesnt that seem odd to anyone else?

I heard Ventura on Stern the other day.. and after watching the government we have destroy our liberty and dollar.. illegally invade a country.. Im starting to question the validity. Its not hard to find an enemy hellbent on hurting us and allowing them to do it.

Nobody got fired for 9/11. 'Brownie' got fired from FEMA for Katrina. A hell of alot more failure happened in mid Sept 2001.

'Let me see if I get this

'Let me see if I get this straight, we need to borrow 11B from China, to give to a military dictator, that overthrew a democratically elected government, Musharaff. We start two wars, lose all these lives, promoting democracy in Iraq. I mean what is going on here?'

FOX later deleted that comment in re-broadcast and I canceled my cable because of it.

'Advertisements are the only truths to be relied upon in newspapers.' TJ

Foreign Policy

"So Let me see if I get this right, we borrow $10B from Chinese and give it to a military dictator in Pakistan. Then we go to war in Iraq losing all these lives, promoting democracy. I mean what's going on here?"

My favorite RP quote regarding Israel

In regards to the US being Israel's ally...

"So, Let me get this straight, we borrow 10 billion dollars from China, give it to an elected dictator (Musharaff) in Pakistan who uses the money to buy weapons to use against Israel." "What's going on here??!!"

too many to list, but

'the freedom message does not divide us, the message of freedom brings us together!'
What really solidified my support for RP was a video on you tube from 1988 where he was saying the exact same things he is saying today. I already respected his honesty, but to see evidence of CONSISTENCY, which is VIRTUALLY NON-EXISTENT among politicians, gave me Hope For America.

"NOOOOOOO!!!"

"I'M SAYING WE SHOULD TAKE OUR MARCHING ORDERS FROM THE CONSTITUTION!"

He said that at a FOX NEWS debate after pusillanimous Chris Wallace asked Dr. Ron if we should take our marching orders from Al-CIA-da.

The issue of electability

After dishing his own party their own ass with a list of how far we've strayed from our original party principles he proceeds to ask increduously; "and you say I'M unelectable??".

Truth is Treason in The Empire of Lies

Without a doubt this has got to be one of Ron Paul's most profound quotes.

The little speech he gave about Romney and McCain arguing for 20 minutes over who said what when. "We should be debating foreign policy, not arguing over who said what when on a policy you both agree on."

"Make fun buddy."

He's got thousands of classics. Just go to http://www.lewrockwell.co... and look up Ron Paul's Greatest Speech. He's got some really good ones in that speech. And you can see most of his other writings and speeches on that site as well.

The man is truly a beacon of liberty... on a hill full of darkness and deceit.

three quotes:
The very early quote in answer to the woman on the tv screen's question about the war: "Just come home." Still puts a smile on my face.

Then the other two are more exchanges than quotes. When he took down Huckabee on the meaning of "honor" was priceless.

Then when he exposed the squabbling of Romney and McCain on "who supported what when" instead of debating policy you are debating whether we should move a few troops here or there. And that was beautiful especially because the crowd recognized he had a point.

Dr. Paul cured my apathy

"Corporatism is Evil"

That was from Ron Paul's interview on "The Daily Show".

At a popular level in recent years "corporatism" has been used to mean the promotion of the interests of private corporations in government over the interests of the public. [Wikipedia]

-"Ron Paul cured me of my predilection for Che Guevara T shirts."

Corporatism is destroying

Corporatism is destroying America's economy. I agree that it's evil.

Bottom line: 'Multinational corporations' should not have the right to do business as corporations in this country. Halliburton has been screwing us throughout the war on terror, and it moved its headquarters from Houston, Texas to Dubai.

Also it goes without saying that corporations should never receive government bailouts, subsidies or other forms of welfare from the public dole. After 9-11 happened, airline stocks plummeted. What did Bush do within weeks? He spent $11 billion to bail them out. $11 billion dollars is a significant chunk of cash from the US taxpayers.

thank you

I love that quote

When asked if he knew why we have elections on Tuesday...

Without missing a beat, Dr. Paul replied, "I'm not sure, but I do know when I would like to have elections... on April 15th."

Priceless.
