Officers fear Mexican military
A U.S. Border Patrol agent was held at gunpoint Sunday night by members of the Mexican military who had crossed the border into Arizona, but the soldiers returned to Mexico without incident when backup agents responded to assist.
Things are getting rough on the border.

"Accidental"!?
Yeah, sure!
The Mexican military hasn't been made aware of GPS yet, apparently.
Or, so they'd like us to believe.
This is insulting to be treated as if we're imbeciles by the media reporting this as accidental.
Boarder not clear....
If I was dictator ...eerrrr, President....I would make the boarder VERY clear, with a thick mine field.
Sadly, the fence or mine field or whatever could, at some point, be used to keep us IN~!
OK, so how about US troops at the boarder with shoot-to-kill orders for any man/woman/child attempting illegal entry (if you want in, fine..go through the proper entry point!). I know this would infuriate Jesse Ventura, but I don't share his sentiment on immigration.

powered by SpherePHOENIX (Reuters) - Mexican soldiers briefly held a U.S. Border Patrol agent at gunpoint in a remote stretch of the Arizona desert after they mistakenly strayed north across the border, authorities said on Wednesday.
Tucson sector Border Patrol spokesman Mike Scioli said four Mexican soldiers wearing desert camouflage and carrying weapons confronted the agent early on Sunday morning as he patrolled a border road in the Tohono O'Odham nation southwest of Tucson.
Scioli said the agent repeatedly identified himself in English and Spanish. After four minutes the soldiers lowered their weapons and crossed back in to Mexico on foot.
The stretch of desert is frequently crossed by human and drug smugglers from Mexico, and the border line in the area is not always clearly marked, Scioli said.
A spokesman for the U.S. State Department said the incursion had been brought to the attention of the Mexican government, and appeared to be accidental.
"Our understanding is that this encounter stemmed from a momentary misunderstanding as to the exact location of the U.S.-Mexican border," Gonzalo Gallegos said.
"We recognize that occasional incidents such as this can and do occur. But we take the misunderstanding seriously, as does the Government of Mexico."
Incursions by Mexican military personnel into the United States over the nearly 2,000-mile (3,200-km) southwest border are not uncommon. Scioli said 42 incidents had been reported since October 1 last year.

They are getting their kicks
because they know our government wants no borders and wants us to be "one with Mexico." They went home because they know the US people don't know it yet.
time to drop some special
time to drop some special forces personel on the border.. If I were the President I would be outraged! then next time they came across armed they would not return! this is an armed invasion.. pure and simple!
as for me and my home, we shall worship the LORD
Oh my....
Living east, I was unaware of how bad things are out/down there. This shit would happen if our man was in office...bring the military home, secure our boarders and spend our money here in the US!!
I'm feel bad for that agent...it must be a terrifying feeling to have a gun to your head...I can see that a "fence" ain't gonna cut the mustard. We need to mine the whole damn thing!

Most people outside of the border states have no idea how bad it
...is. Approximately three years ago a Mexican police/military helicopter flew about ten miles into Arizona. They landed pointed their weapons at a local man and then attempted to steal a water tanker truck.
The response from Dr. Strangelove, err.... I mean Chertoff- nothing except some ambiguously vague mutterings. How about full on AK-47 fire fights on Arizona freeways from Mexican drug/ illegal smugglers?
The feds do and say nothing. The MSM does their part to ignore the scope of the issues as well.
It's beyond bad.
they are doing and saying
they are doing and saying something about it. they have told our servicemen to stay out of the southern border towns because it is too dangerous for them to go there. not only that, but our National Guard has been sent to Afghanistan and Iraq.
Oh wait! They are doing
Oh wait! They are doing something! They are having checkpoints miles from the border and detaining American citizens. Maybe it is time for us to start defending our borders....
n't...
Or...suspend Nafta and you(Mexico) keep your military off US territory, and we'll lift sanctions.
