Looks Like McCain Has To Give "Prizes" To Supporters To Spread His Message

Ron Paul said a while back that many other politicians were coming to him and asking him how he used the internet so effectively, while they missed the point that the message is the reason for the spread and not the tactful and strategic use of the internet. Since none of those other politicians believed that the message of freedom is the reason the message spreads, they are trying desperately to come up with tools to help spread their ever changing propaganda. For instance, John McCain will give out prizes to people who share his message over the internet as reported by the Washington Post.

What a joke. How about going back to our Constitution and follow that and the people will follow accordingly.

Authoritarians think they need to push or bribe people with incentives or penalties. He will apply exactly the same technique to government.
It doesn't seem to occur to them to use the libertarian technique of getting out of the way and letting karma and the natural laws of the marketplace and of human nature bring about success.

I was blessed with a gift!
I received a beautiful photo of McCain and his lovely wife. Why would I want such a thing? Did they expect me to frame it and put it on the wall with the family pics? I have been hit up for money three times now (by McCain) and I always stuff all the contents in the postage paid envelope and mail it back with a note. "I am a Ron Paul supporter and refuse to vote for McCain". It's kinda fun.

I returned my McAIPAC Campaign fundraising solicitation with two Ron Paul slim jims and a cheap pocket Constitution along with a note that I would consider supporting him if he returned to the ideals of true Republicanism.
I know it was a waste of a pocket Constitution, but I thought the effect would be priceless.

In NH before the primary, I was at the Liberty Forum
and Tom Ridge was in the same hotel there, with John McCain. I talked to Ridge and he asked me how Ron Paul had gotten all this support on the internet. He wanted to know what his "trick" was. As long as they think it is a trick, they will never, ever get it. And this man was in charge of Homeland Security! I know I feel more secure. Yeah, right.

It is not the internet being used a tool by Ron Paul in order to gather support, it is being used as medium to spread the message. This medium is one that they would love to control partly because they do not understand it and partly because they cannot control the information that comes from it. It cuts off their lies and cuts off the controlled message that the Main Stream Media promotes.
The reason so many young people have latched onto to Ron Paul is because of the internet's freedom. The internet allows people to choose what information they want to read and provides unlimited resources for education. TV, newspapers, and magazines spoon feed the political machine's messages in nice little truncated points of deception. The older generation is generally going to the sames sites for the companies where they are used to getting their information. This would include CNN, FOX, etc. The young go out and educate themselves on their own trusting no one and verifying information first. It is a cycle that will kill the mainstream in the end, but it will also raise the flag of regulation from the Feds.
They also don't understand that Ron Paul did not push the internet buttons to get the support, it is that the supporters of Ron Paul gathered here to organize on their own and promoted the message on their own. Just think of all the YouTube videos that allowed people to see the debate questions that Fox decided to leave out on their rebroadcasts. No wonder it has taken some time for Ron Paul's message to be heard by all. 30 second soud bites along with some paid shrill touting him as a nut will turn off a lot of the lemmings of the TV. The Main Stream is corrupt and in the pockets of McCain and Obama. Freedom is what brought us together on the last free medium of mass comunication available.
McCain doesn't understand the internet and I really think he believes that his promotion to reward people for expressing themselves about his campaign is a "bang-up" idea. He will see that it will do nothing like Ron Paul's people decided to do on their own. Shame on the GOP for not taking us more seriously. They will in due time because we will become the GOP.
How can this clown be the nominee?

I Think This Is A Good Sign For The RNC
If the propped up candidate has to give incentives for people to engage in "his" beliefs, then Ron Paul might have a pretty good chance to causing a bigger stir than anticipated at the RNC. Think about Ron Paul's supporters, the grassroots activists that take time out of their day to debate the positions of the candidates, to promote and educate the masses about liberty and freedom. Why do we do it? Because we believe in it and not because we may get a free nights stay at a Best Western or a signed book by McCain.
The delegates are seeing the real McCain as the campaigns move forward and few are pleased with their supposed choice. Ron Paul could still get nominated from the floor of the RNC. This could happen if the delegates attend the Rally for the Republic and the government muck is finally cleared from their eyes.
Long live the R3volution.

Why Don't We Post To McCain's Suggested Website
Nothing slanderous or demeaning, just the talking points that brought us to Ron Paul. While no one in the campaign miught be able to give you a toaster for your efforts, your freedom just might be realized again.

As I read this article further, it reminded me about how many in the GOP and the MSM said that the Ron Paul viral spread on the internet was work a few, possibly paid, individuals. McCain has posted that he will pay people to post positive comments about his policy online. Just cut and paste his prepared comments into the online community. This flies in the face of what the GOP was calling Ron Paul to the carpet for, yet McCain has no problem coming out in public asking for what they chastised for earlier?
I find it funny that the neo-cons feels the carrot and stick approach works so wonderfully and that McCain has to bribe people to spread his message. Ron Paul didn't need to offer a carrot to his followers; he simply had to bring the Constitution back to everyone's attention.
