I will buy tickets to the rally if you will go.

I'm not sure of the logistics of it but, if I can, and, you promise to go, I will buy ten tickets to the rally. You must be a regular Daily Pauler or have one vouch for you.

If interested, post here.

UFC and Jesse Ventura

I mentioned that before that people should go to the UFC event that just took place and spread the message. The camera man showed Jesse Ventura at the event. I wonder if any of our people went there.

Marilyn in Lake Jackson

I'm taking the cheapist flight I could find on Tuesday morning, going straight to the Rally by light rail(about $2.00) with purse only, no over-night bag, splitting cab fare and a Motel 6 room with my sister after the Rally, then back home the next morning. I'll miss one day at work. I can work that cost into my budget over a month or so and still pay my bills, or even work a couple of extra shifts to make up.

Marilyn, if you need a ticket, email me.

my username is my email address. Just add: @mac.com

Lisa C, thanks, but I

Lisa C, thanks, but I already have tickets for my sister and me. You are being very generous. I thought about offering to buy a couple of extra ones if anyone wants them, but if they don't get used, then there will be empty seats. So I figured it would be better for them to be available to sell at the door for local people in Minn. We sure don't want empty seats. I hope sales pick up, but I suppose, considering the expense of traveling and missing work, we have done pretty good.

this is so sad to me...

that it's not already sold out.
what? 1.2 mil voted for paul? sold out means 15,000 or so buy tickets and get their asses to the set?

we can't afford to buy airline tickets either......

that's why we just bought an airstream for the trip to MN.

Lisa,

In case no one has told you lately.....You are an absolute saint for helping out fellow DPers.

Looking forward to seeing this group in MN!

Thanks sistagirl.

Really, it's not about me. It's a gift to Ron. I can't be there, so I will send ten if I can to show him my thanks.

I'm just grateful some are taking up my offer. Six tickets are accounted for -- anyone else fence-sitting about going? Please think seriously about it. Our forefathers risked their lives and property -- I know gas is not cheap but this is important. Take your kids. It's more important than school. This is their future.

Lisa,

Just checking in. So do you still have 2 more tickets available. I am trying to keep track as I promised to help out as well.

Hey victory.

Doesn't seem like many need tickets. More need rides or rooms. You could donate to the walk or sign bomb unless you want John to give away tickets on the walk.

Thanks, Lisa

I will do one of the mentioned. There is a chipin to the walk or John ticket give away right? Did the people who you referred to John for tickets get a response. God, I am not good at this. Remember growing up where there were these freinds you knew who always organized things and were so good at it? My take is I want to help but don't have a clue how to do if it starts getting really complicated.

Don't worry about it too much victory.

There quite a few banners to the right to click on and donate. Have a look and see which one you feel gives the biggest bang for your buck. If someone needs help they need to speak up. If someone has the will and the time to go, we should all try and get them there.

Does anyone here

have a way to get to the rally but needs help with tickets?

I can buy two rally tickets, I just can't afford the $287 to get

there. The best price I found on traveling was here: http://ronvoytotherally.e...

** I would be on the Raleigh Ronvoy. Anyone want to buy my ticket on the bus (I refuse to go without hubby- just not safe), I'll go in a heart-beat. I will sleep at the YMCA, or on the floor of someone's hotel if I have to.

Why not post and try to get a carpool going?

Thought about it but

Even if that's split six ways it's 115 bucks ($350 round trip in gas) I don't have. Not when you figure in food.

The battle today is not between conservatives and liberals or Republicans and Democrats. It is a battle between Americans and globalists. ~ Chuck Baldwin

Do what I'm doing

I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee with RONPAUL license plates and it's killing me that I'm not going to be able to take my jeep. The gas will just be outrageous. Instead we will (hopefully) be renting a hybrid to do the drive. We should be able to do the trip from Denver to St. Paul and back again on 2 tanks of gas. I'm not sure the price of the car, but even at $50.00 a day it would be cheaper for us to rent a hybrid than to take my Jeep.

my experience

That's exactly what myself and my liberty-loving friends did for the RevMarch.

We rented a Toyota Prius and the round trip from Chicago cost about $130 for gas. We only had to stop 4 times for gas the entire trip. The car itself cost about $250 for three days however. We rented from Avis.

In the end it was quite worth it between the 4 of us.

$160 for gas + 250 for the car?

= $410.
Not do-able, cheaper to go with Ron-voy

Seems like it would be cheaper to fly.

JohnFromChicago, are you here? Also a message for adam1mc.

I just emailed you.

Send me the link to your ChipIn again and I will donate there -- that money is for tickets only and adam1mc gets two, so you two will need to hook-up.

adam1mc, you need to keep John honest and make sure he delivers.

If you're going to be buying through Ticketek John, there is an 8 ticket limit. I don't know if you can buy more after that. I wanted to buy ten, but if that's not possible, eight will have to do.

What I would prefer is for you to buy the tickets and email me a copy of the receipt with the total, including taxes and fees. Whatever that comes to is what I will donate to your ChipIn.

Is that okay with you?

I've donated to many things and, if you want proof, I can email you ChipIn receipts.

Today is a busy day for me so I will be jumping on and off Daily Paul when I can.

John has not contacted me. I'm still waiting to hear where he booked to stay. I am planning on making hotel reservations tonight or tomorrow so I'm hoping to hear from him soon

He emailed and said he's trying to get something going

I guess we need to take a tally

of who needs extra tickets before ordering. I don't want to buy ones not needed. Maybe take them with us to the event to give out there or should they be mailed out ahead ? Open to suggestions.

I will be happy to take

I will be happy to take someone up on their offer of tickets. I'm coming up from Denver with a buddy. Can any of you people with extra tickets meet up? I'm still looking for a place to stay so if anyone has ideas for cheap accommodations then please advise that also.
Email me so we can plan to meet.

Already have tickets for you!!!!!!

Leaving South Jersey Aug 30th
On August 8th, 2008 mag4paul says:
going thru Phila, up the Turn pike into Ohio, I-80 into Indiana, I-90 to Chicago. I am looking into renting a cabin at one of the camp sites. Will sleep at least 4. I have 2 tickets and 2 seats maybe 3 in my car. I am a 49yr old bringing 19 yr old son. Plan is to drive straight thru on the 30th , need another driver. Arriving on the 31st. Leaving on the 3rd to travel home. BTW I am a smoker!!!!but I have respect. This is already historic but want to make it fun as well. Anyone who want to join me is welcome.

I think it is great but..

Please don't end up walking in with tickets in your hands.. I think it's wonderful that people are putting up their money for others to go, but please do it in a organized way. Please try to meet up at a certain location where those tickets may be given to others, so that the place is not sold out and with empty seats!

This will be historic no doubt.

Peace

I considered this

If I get some extra tickets, they will be in an envelope with other VIP's (Very Important Papers). I would not hand them out to anybody who was willing to take them, but I would make sure they got used. I KNOW that towards the end of the walk, there will be true supporters who for one reason or another cannot go, and it will be great to be able to hook them up.

I want to help too

I have two tickets available and I am looking to drive/carpool to Minneapolis from Chicagoland.

If someone in my area needs help making it to the rally, then I'd be happy to offer these accomodations at a reduced cost. I want to make this thing a HUGE success!

at takeaction (post got in wrong place)

nothing like small family businesses.

perhaps you can have meeting with your employees and explain the situation....

perhaps they all could have temporary decrease in pay instead (or less hours) so all or some can stay ??

just a thought..

Rally for the Repulic...

I'm in on this as well. In fact --- I think that the CFL & Rally for the Republic should have 4 - yes, that's FOUR Rallies!

1 for the East Coast supporters.

1 for the West Coast supporters.

1 for the North &

1 for the South.

It would be easier to get celebrity volunteers as well if we made that rallies closer to home.

I did not post twice...

so I don't know WTF that is all about...

It might just be a computer glitch

LISA

If everybody takes you up on your offer.....I will be the second choice. If anybody wants tickets....I will pay for them. From What Lisa said..they limit you to 8....so I am in for 8.....just get there.

I am game. I own a huge car stereo store in Portland, Oregon, and for 22 years we have sold more car stereos than anyone on the West Coast.........but this is the first time I am seeing a decrease in sales in 22 years....big time. We are down 29%. This is not good. I have over $1,000,000 in inventory that we normally turn real quick...and right now....it is slow. We are deciding on which people too cut if needed. We had a huge influx of customers with those stupid "Stimulus Checks", but those are gone now. It is going to get very interesting......My store supports 15 families. And they have all been so loyal...so who do you send away....this is tough!

So if anybody wants tickets.......I will buy them as long as you are there!

Great, victory is in for 8 also.

Maybe it's been discussed

Maybe it's been discussed but perhaps some could work out relays. Not sure that's the right word but idea is people commit to transport pilgrims from point A to next volunteer at point B, hauling as many as possible and then return trip too. My daughter is involved with dog rescue orgs that do this nationwide. Would take some major organizing but perhaps some of you have experience with something similar?
