NEVADA voters election day...TODAY

There is an assemblyman named Bob Beers who lost, he is much more liberal than his counterpart in the Senate (Beers Light)...the Nevada Convention Chairman is Senator Bob Beers, and he did not have a primary. It is confusing for us here in Nevada as well! Beers Light losing his primary is a good thing...

Maybe I am alone among those who are supporters of Ron Paul in this state, but I really do not want to see Senator Bob Beers, former Chair of the Republican State Convention, lose to Alison Copening. I know what he did in siding with the party, but Beers has been a champion for the taxpayer in Nevada, and I think he just made a very bad judgment call at the Convention in doing what he did. Proper punishment for him is to ensure he never goes farther than State Senator in Nevada...he wants to be Governor, and I (and I'm sure many others will agree and be with me) will do whatever it takes to assure that never happens.

Losing the State Senate to the Democrats would cause a very negative redistricting that will hurt the Northern part of the state and cause us to lose any power for 12 years. This state would be taken over by Democrats...it is already close...and then we just become East California: not acceptable. Some might think that is appropriate punishment...I think it is too high a price to pay to "payback" Bob Beers.

one really wished for a better performance, less than Ron Paul (19%) in the primary! Guess Diebold and the fact that the incumbent is known and our RP candidates were probably largely underfunded vs. their incumbent competitors, like 10 times or much more.
In any case thanks for for the three candidates as well as their families and helpers for the effort. It is in any case good experience you can build on and in 2010 there could be totally different results.

Next Tuesday we still have two candidates in WA in primaries: Kurt Erickson and Michael Delavar. Erickson also runs against a GOP incumbent lady where I heard there are a lot of RP signs and Paul faction dominated during the state congress. So the primary is the most important race for Erickson, if he manages to win, he will be as good as the first elected Ron Paul congress of the new ones in congress. Dr. Paul got about 24, 25% in the GOP primaries, so it is a good basis.

IT'S DOABLE

This was my first primary voting experience in Nevada...and well, hey this is Nevada so my polling place was one of the casinos! I chatted with some of the people there for awhile, and the turnout appeared light in Yerington.

Funny how one little interaction makes a "connection." I had problems with a computer program once, Carl helped me by phone. Now I feel like "Oh, yeah - he is MY kind of politician!" - lol! However, he was helping me in the name of the MESSAGE, which is why I really want to see him and James Smack win!
